The Allman Brothers Live At Fillmore East one of the best 3 live Albums of all time.
They live in Bernanke's Bubble World.
was just in some galleries today (you know where) and you are absolutely correct-a-mundo. it's BubbleWorld floating in a Bubbleworld...but hey you can buy a Tesla...and feel good about your funny money honey dripping from Big Ben.
btw, just learnt something today...all art transactions through galleries are confidential. the artist does not know who owns their art at all. it's kept a mystery except to the gallerists (and their whisper clique).
interesting, considering the main subject of the post.
They even have rules of thumb about the ratio of art value to value of real estate. Of course they would.
So if you have a billionaire sky bungalo, the art hanging on the wals has to be X multiples of the value of the bungalo.
I have a few contemporary art brochures that look like private equity sales pitches.
Secrecy is to protect the middlemen of course. Big time galleries are well insulated from the internet effect.
So what you need to do is solve x for your target market... but you should consider x is pulled out of the asses of a bunch of self interested gallery vampires and the Lilly Rearden whose husband's wealth they are squandering. Unfortunately on my turf the yuppies have added rules. Art must be perdused by locals. CONsidering the CONnoiseurs (and camp followers) who have slithered here since George crookback lowered the standards, I'm guessing property taxes on the ostentatiously parasitic factor in this squeeze.
As one of those happy fringe Zero Hedge low brows,
I really luv my new Sacred Dow print, WB.
My evil ex got all the original artwork and left me
that stupid Kinkade!
You got Bushed!
As I was telling Alan, if you look at the Kinkade prints and consider how popular they were among the neo-con set, the idylic images of Nazi art come to mind.
Absolutley no meaning to be found except the tranquility to be derived by turning absolutely every fucking light in the town on.
I was amused that the Kinkade his ex bought (which cost many multiples over a Banzai7) wound up in a closet. ;-)
I need Waterford Crystal in my bomb shelter.
"This one replaced a Kinkade. Typical bomb shelter decor..."
Tornado shelters too. Jus' sayin' - in case one needs to make room for a WB7.
art can be political, if its social and religious primarily. the rule (from the gallery side) i suppose is never go directly at your subject. using technology as a form of counter insurgency is entirely consistent with the vitality of art, (when once painting with oils and brushes was new technology) and confining ones work and interest to the object or the performance is consistent with reactionary art. general ripper was a bit of both i think.
Rule: If there is political relevance you cannot be a journalist or an artist, you are an activist.
Now I see Lindsey Dickhead things the issue of the day is deciding who gets to be called a journalist. Those people are straight out of a comic book.
But who gives a flying fuck about the art establishment.
For me interacting directly with audience in real time is the real deal. The physical transmission of the artwork can be handled online together with the Post instead of via a gallery. Trying to explain what is going on to people who cater to the elites is a waste of energy. And excluding the middleman from the chain keeps the price structure reasonable.
I did, however, think that Snowden's presence in Hong Kong was a unique opportunity to bridge the themes in my works with the local population though.
art is your relationship with your audience, (some gallery types do talk their art, but many rely on cryptic muttering, or saying nothing at all really, the god speaks through me defense of art) usually what happens is someone like yourself pushes the issue, and someone like LG makes a speech, and says this is not art, (ergo?) at that point you've got one foot in GITMO, and that's when the reactionary, gallery folks ride to the rescue. Robinson Jeffers called FDR a cripple, in his poem, the Roan Stallion. he then had to get off his rock in Pacific Grove, and fly to NY, and capitulate to his publisher, before he could have it printed. the originals are still around. its never easy. Snowden is probably a 21 century artist in many ways.
If one starts with the premise that a gallery is essentially an empty box that pays rent to a landlord, everything else follows...
Fascim 2.,0 - THAT'S MY GIRL! Please keep her on your list - this is an instant classic.
A 'good liberal Democrat' trashing the Constitution and selling the people into serfdom. It's enough to make me want to believe in the Christian hell, which would have a *very* special place for her. Alas, I don't believe in the literal place, so do your best to create one here and now for her, WB.
Information Awareness Office indeed. And the bar code on the hat is such a nice touch
Well, I finally coffeed my key board.
I'm off to WalMart to make my monthly investments.
I now understand why it is traditional to sew a zombie's lips together. They won't shut up but they don't say anything useful either.
That's IDI ADMIN.
Love (hate) Fascism 2.0.
Though this might be appropriate considering how the sheeple consider Obama their 'big dada' or saviour.

Great stuff William. I know it is in bad taste to request stuff, but consider incorporating the american wild turkey into the patriot 2.0 themes. Ben Franklin knew and I have personally witnessness that they are largely pacifists, yet can easily defeat agressive, single minded, instinct only, built for it, birds of prey.
I have lots of Turkey stuff that I have done for Thanksgiving, but no Turkey Patriots ;-)
The original artists of the colonialization period were facinated by it. To be honest, The bald eagle, and most other birds of prey are actually filthy animals when you see them close up. or their nests. Thanks giving is appropriate, where the natives actually helped the colonists survive.
How about this? (since it is a mere reflection of the great thoughts you have inspired in me.) Sammuria vs. Ninjas. The american wild turkey vs. the american eagle.
More scary clowns - Brrrr...
Brilliant, WB. Some of your best.
[for those who are Morse challenged: "I am a transparent moron" under Obama]
Is there a cut and paste Morse tranlator out there?
of course. google. http://morsecode.scphillips.com/jtranslator.html
Persactly! Thank you very much WTF.
Roger that Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...Romeo Oskar Tango Foxtrot Lima Oskar Lima! ;-)
Whiskey Bongo 7
DiFi: WHO VOTED FOR THIS DATACUNT
Baker - Tango - Foxtrot - Delta, okay boys, on three
That's one way. I learned it with a marine sargeant walking around the room on top of our tables with a 3 foot stick wrapped in electrical tape. You'd be stressing your butt off trying to keep up as the speed increased then there would be combat boots on either side of your typewriter. Or the stick would come down on desk from behind like a gunshot.
"Yours is not to wonder why.
Yours is but to do or die."
N/A
60's Boy Scouts for me. Was useful when I went through Basic/AIT.
Yep, that too.
The other one under Feinstein is "Who voted fpr [sic] this data cunt."
Thanks, I fixed the typo.
I'm not trying to be cute. I know morse code (although I am rusty) and I love the way it adds to the whole data/encryption/snooping theme.
There are online morse code translators but you have to input the strokes. Dah dah dah dit dit dit etc.
You no longer need to learn MC to get a Ham Radio license, but I think everyone should learn it anyway.
Indeed William. You can work the world with 5 watts, a wire antenna and a good "fist".

You can do it with a 9 volt battery if the ionospheric conditions are right.
Cool! I'm ham too. Building a elecraft K2. Lots of parts! love the morse code chart. I'm going to hang it up in the shack.
I did a google search of QRP (low power operation).
This site is nirvana for that: http://www.qrpme.com
Very cool. Thanks!
BTW I have NEVER tried getting through security with my Altoids tin Cmoy amp . . .
I once got hassled over a cigarette pack guitar amplifier, which I demo'd for them at the airport. Amazing little amp.
That looks very much like my Cmoy headphone amp.
Got a link for this Altoid kit?
Here's one:

THIS is why I come to ZH. The comments are usually more interesting than the articles (unless it's WB7 art).
Many thanks!
Not that I know of: I came by it the hard way, heh.
I mainly just know SOS .. --- ..
I'm pretty sure it's ... --- ...
