In a clever play on the "wag the dog" tactic, Obummer just declared war on our coal miners, thus gaining support from the Sierra Club while at the same time preparing the public for the coming announcements which will blame everything on the 'weather'....which was caused by the evil coal companies. Obummer and his advisors figured the loss of any political support from West Virginia inconsequential compared to the gain in support from Hollywood.

When the time came for the country to choose a national animal, it is told that Ben Franklin suggested the turkey.

We know he lost out on that one. Probably just as well since we eat the damned thing.

But I wonder, what would you have been able to do with the symbol of the noble turkey if it were the symbol of the free, given the circumstances? Would it have been great material? Or just sad?
