JON CORZINE SONG

(Daniel Boone Song)

Jon Corzine was a scam,

Yes, a big scam!

With an eye like an schlemiel

And the king of legerdemain was he!

Jon Corzine was a scam,

Yes, a big scam!

He was soave, he was fearless

And as tough as a buttonwood tree!

From the coonskin cap on the top of ol' Jon

To the heel of his fine brogue shoe;

The rippin'est, roarin'est, fraudulent man

That Wall Street ever knew!

Jon Corzine was a scam,

Yes, a big scam!

And he fought all America

To make all his Bankster friends free!

What a Boomer, what a screwer,

What a Ponzi come-er true-er was he!

.

Business dispute :)

American boss held hostage by Chinese employees arrives back home to Florida

“One-hundred per cent I got held for ransom,” Chip Starnes said on NBC’s “Today” show, just hours after arriving back home from China. He said he was “held ransom for severance package” and paid between $500-600,000 cash for his freedom.

It is not rare in China for managers to be held by workers demanding back pay or other benefits. Police are reluctant to intervene, as they consider it a business dispute.

Bottom of the thread-jack...

"The Army admitted Thursday to not only restricting access to The Guardian news website at the Presidio of Monterey, as reported in Thursday's Herald, but Armywide."

Its DoD and Army wide for their computers.

Of interest, there is an admission for the observant...

"He said it would not block "websites from the American public in general, and to do so would violate our highest-held principle of upholding and defending the Constitution and respecting civil liberties and privacy."

The implication being, they already have the internet kill switch (of sorts) in place or else he would not or could not make such a bold statement.

Thank you Mr.VanVleet, that will be all ;-)

Thanks for sharing that.

"He wrote that an employee who downloads classified information could face disciplinary action if found to have knowingly downloaded the material on an unclassified computer."

Army employees are now firewalled, the NSA don't want the military downloading / viewing what most people in the world can access. That's doesn't say much for army employee intel.

The meaning of "recuse" is nicely framed by this satire.

I told my kids that I had an idea that involved making and selling playing cards with the faces of central bankers (Bernanke etc), investment bankers (Dimon, Blankfein etc) and certain politicians.

After some discussion they knocked the idea on the head because they felt it would be impossible to have a usable deck with so many Jokers in the deck.

Does anybody have any ideas how I can still do this?

That should be doable. Just make a quartets game, and there you go - 4 Jokers for each bank ...

THE ANGLO-IRISH TAPES SCANDAL

------------------------------------------

Remember Anglo-Irish? Remember how the "Commonwealth Loyalist" (for lack of a better word) press headed by Murdoch's and Barcley Bros.'s labels was moaning about the evil, evil, EVIL continental, neo-feudal, Teutonic, Vampire-ECB help to Ireland when Anglo-Irish bank blew up? Remember how this was painted as a manifestation the evil plan that is the EU? And how Ireland was urgently advised to leave all european clubs that just wanted to suck it dry?

Well, the Irish Indipendent has now released the full audio tapes of how the Anglo-Irish bank management were talking about the deal, including remarks about how they picked up the first 7bn rescue number "out of my arse", (the FT asks readers to "think Mike Myer's as Dr. Evil in an Austin Powers movie, complete with cat and twitching finger"). In discussions, this merry bunch of Masters of the Universe were talking about "sticking up two fingers to Germany", to which one of them started a rendition of the Nazi Anthem "Deutschland, Deutschland, über Alles...", dissolving the conversation in laughter (the FT asks readers to "think Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove" to this point)

truly, a dark, cruel comedy at the expense of the Irish, the Germans and europe in general

Remember how yours truly was pointing at a lack of any caution from the Irish Government in checking what those bastards were concocting? Remember how I was moaning about how the Irish Government trusted them and proceeded to a full bailout with closed eyes? Remember how I was drowned here in ZH by comments on how "it's all an evil German/EU/ECB plan to enslave Ireland"? With side-dishes of "Neo-Feudal EU/ECB" Well, I feel vindicated

meanwhile kudos to the Telegraph for even publishing an article on this ("Stick two fingers up at Britain and Germany" joked Anglo-Irish Bank boss). But wait, did I say kudos? Perhaps I should say that imo they are desperately trying to spin, spin, SPIN the matter, then after all they jumped in for years on the myth that the continentals were trying to enslave Ireland with debt

read the article, compare with what the Guardian (of recent "Snowden fame") and the entire Irish press is writing, and note how they try to reverse the whole scam as something where the main victims are (of course) the British. Then go to the comments of the Telegraph article, and note pearls like

- "You mean the EU run BBC.,they will report nothing negative about the EU or the Euro. As for the Irish public's rage forget it,they will behave like good little Europeans and accept all shlit thrown at them, they had two referendums to get it right and still the thicko's buggered it. Let them wallow in their own stupidity"

- "Trouble is, the lousy Irish politicians sacrificed their own taxpayers for the good of the evil Euro projectIrish people consequently will be under the cosh for two generations. The puzzle is why have the people been so meek?"

seeing how the Telegraph's readership is not interested in seeing continentals in any form except as "blood-sucking vampires of the Glorious Commonwealth", I don't presume they will publish another one on this (and they are already buring it). Then after all, we live in a media landscape that delivers truthinews, not news)

Meanwhile, the US press is nearly silent on this scandal. Oh, and I'm still waiting for a ZH article on it... I'm sure it will come. Will it?

ZH posted it when it broke in Ireland (you missed it).

They were particularly focused on the Anglo Exec Fitzgerald saying that they calculated the €7 billion by "picking it out of me arse", setting it at a large enough amount to suck the Central Bank in (for future bailouts - the number reached €30bn), but not so large as to scare them off.

He admitted they wouldn't survive, and had a good laugh at the consternation at the Central Bank.

Can you say "obtaining funds by deception"?  Can you say "Fraud"?

Being Ireland of coursethey will have a tribunal or enquiry which will compell testimony, thus destroying it as evidence for a criminal trial.
