Yeah, #3 was wrong, the rest were correct, but you left out the airdrops of lethal nerve gas they will kill most of us with, or a new bio-weapon. It's easier than shooting people. So when understanding people, one of the questions to ask them is, have you ever had any extraterrestrial type experiences? The answers would surprise many, and some of the stories and drawings are close in resemblance. And some, just too real to deny.

Thank you William. I did initial a no-compete on the original paperwork but the GM violated so many of the terms of employment were violated that the situation finally achieved ludicrous speed. This time around I did not do anything wrong, just a HUGE difference of opinion. I have a pretty thick hide on me but I saw how other employees were suffering this GM guy's bullshit. I have managed others before and when you are in an agriculturally related field, you have to be willing to get the shovel out and dig if need be.
You have to get down and dirty even if you are the manager. When I was younger, and a golf course superintendent, I sent the kids out to edge the bunkers (60 of the sandy bastards) about two bunkers a day could be done. It's really shitty work. It's hot as hell and golf balls are flying at you because golfers are notoriously stupid for thinking that staff are impervious to being hit with a golf ball. But you know what I would do after I was done wrenching on the mowers or fixing on the irrigation? I would go out and get right in there with my crew and they appreciated that. Let's just get the job done. That made the crew very happy. They saw that their boss was understanding of the conditions they were working under. The morale and productivity increase was remarkable. That is what you do to lead a successful team. That's how you get shit done.
The morale of the story is that you can not treat employees like shit and expect any productivity out of them. Hell, I even hired a mentally impaired young man to help on the bunker edging project. No one in town would hire Karl and called him a retard and made fun of him. He was my neighbor at the time and he really did not have any friends or any prospects and he was taking care of his elderly father. A hell of a situation to be sure. We went bicycling together one day and I saw how strong he really was. He took the lead and I followed him all the way to a cemetery. I was wondering why we would be going there but he wanted to show me his Mother's grave as she had recently departed this world. He said to me that day that he wanted a job and that he wanted to work.
When something like that happens it's a real punch in the gut. I ended up offering Karl a job at the golf course and he turned out to be the hardest worker I have ever seen. I was ridiculed at first for hiring the "retard" but that derision quickly passed once they saw what Karl could do. Karl and I still stay in contact and I have helped him to get a new job since the golf course as a reference. It just goes to show that you can never assume what an individuals capabilities actually are.
So no, I am not worried about the no-compete. I have always treated people fairly and intend to continue doing so. There are really no trade secrets in agriculture anyway. You either know what the fuck you are doing or you don't and you are beholden to the weather.
