A lobbyist is, with some exception as indicated above, an industry bagman, who is is paid to read what the bills actually say and to see to it that they wind up saying what their clients want them to say. The bills are not drafted in plain English. They are written by lawyers in turdgid weaselese and there is a good reason for that.
The sub-human creatures who vote to pass the bills into law, never bother to read what they are voting about. They read the memos prepared by their party leadership and accept them at face.
Even if they wanted to read the bills, they could not, because they have to time to decipher 3000 page bills written in weaselese. They are to busy being wined and dined by yet more lobbyists.

Isn't the issue NOT whether you like or don't like Obamacare. Isn't the issue whether you are willing to FORCE other people to pay for what you like? If you like Obamacare or any other government program, but another person does not like it, what would that make you if you forced them to pay at your pleasure? For sure our lives would be far more prosperous if the Fed Gov. just obeyed the Constitution. Personally, I'd rather the government support itself via donations. Then it would be far smaller, people would be far less dependent upon it and just like children, the less dependent they are, the more productive they are.
It is theft to take anything from person A and give it to person B. On this basis Obamacare increases the slavery-quotient of person A (i.e. the taxpayer).
If any system claims to be fantastic or otherwise good "for us all", then make it voluntary and that will prove whether it actually is good. People will refuse to participate if it's not good or voluntarily join it if it's so great! The death panel doesn't decide if you live or die. It decides if you die in three months or six months, at a taxpayer cost of $20,000 or $250,000. And during the extra three months you get at massive taxpayer expense, you feel like crap and can barely get out of bed anyway. I would sign away the last three miserable months of life to know that I won't be bankrupted and wiped out by an illness or accident now, and my daughter can go to college because all my savings weren't siezed by greedy hospitals. That is the sensible choice every European, Canadian, etc. make. Americans with gold-plated insurance don't have to choose. Maybe you are the lucky one. But I am not.

If you were paying 17500 per year before you were suckered in.You can have a major surgery per year in any other country for that money.
By doing nothing you are actually helping the system to implode as the insurance companies want higher profots and can not get them anymore. Once the system implodes, competition will increase and prices will drop dramatically.
