splooge was floating everywhere, though, it was a great big mess.
Speaking of music, filmand special fx, here is my tribute to Kubrick.
You in the flesh Banz? And I wish your pics / references didn't go over my head half the time. I know I'm losing a lot by not recognizing them.
But is that Rothschild admiring his America for Sale painting?
Yeah, still photography is a great way to start.

Sandra's Buttocks...
Well, at least it wasn't Clooney's buttocks. ;o)
he threw her in the pool at his party, after calling her LAZY, and THEN she won the oscar. like some folks win the nobel before they do anything about peace, i don't think SB has made a decent film, and Gravy-Ti is just Clooneys way of apologizing for not showing enough respect for KITSCH.
Demolition Man was cast well.
She is of little talent.

Samsara, Baraka – Visual Masterpieces
September 2, 2013
Samsara and Baraka are both inspiring, visually stunning cinematographic masterpieces. Everyone on the planet should take the time to watch them.
Filmed over nearly five years in 25 countries on five continents, Samsara transports us to the varied worlds of sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial complexes, and natural wonders.

Wicked Gravity
The gravity here is just sick for revenge
It's like my lungs are filled with chains . . .
The sky seems so low,
It hasn't moved this slow
Since the virgins, since the virgins went dancing for the rain
You know the stars in the night
They're like the holes in the cave
Like the ceiling of a bombed-out church
But gravity blocks my screams
It's like an enemy's dreams
My guardians quit
They quit before they started their search
Refrain:
I want a world without gravity
It could be just what I need
I'd watch the stars move close
I'd watch the earth recede
I wanna drift above the borders against my will
I wanna sleep where the angels don't pass
But now my lips are blue
Gravity does it to you
It's like they're pressed against a mirrored glass
I want my will and capability to meet inside the region
Where this gravity don't mean a thing
It's where the angels break through . . .
It's where they bring it to you
It's where silence, silence can teach me to sing
Repeat refrain 2 times
I wanna lay beneath these sheets and never turn blue
I wanna hold you, hold you tight but never touch
I want some pure, pure white; hey, we can nod all night
We can do it without thinking too much
I want the dilettantes and parvenues to choke on my wrists
They think the pearls I wear are pills
I want their gravity to shatter . . . but it really doesn't matter
I got something in my eye that kills!
Repeat refrain
Wicked, wicked, wicked, wicked gravity . . .
Wicked, wicked, wicked, wicked gravity . . .
Wicked, wicked, wicked, wicked.
I need to dig that vinyl out and play it for all my friends...
Learn how to use capital letters.
He has learned how to use Capital Letters quite well. Perhaps you need to learn.
Blue Dog - you the runt of the litter?
You have been here a year and a half and you still don't get the picture?
No treats for you...
Time better spent pestering facebook's logo department.
It never ceases to amaze me how many morons find it their simple minded imperative to presume to tell an artist what he can and cannot do.
In this particular instance an artist who, in a prior life, made a fine professional career of wasting time doing inane things like toiling over upper and lower case letters in high priced financial documents. It was a fucking game to see who could find the most typos at Bowne Printing at 4 AM.
But in this case, they are not typos. They are a thorn in the side of a simple minded grammar Nazi.
Fuck you moron.
Hey WB, maybe you're aware of it, maybe you aren't, but that style of randomly capitalizing letters is despised by a large percentage of people because it usually indicates that the author is an obnoxious, self opiniated teenager who saw it being used on 4chan and thought it was cool. It's not just about grammar nazism.
Usually a pretty good indicator for douche, not as high as ALL CAPS, but up there. I actually thought that's what you were at first, some 14yo douche, based on the random caps, and avoided reading your posts because of it.
My bad. Eventually suppressed the bias and found out the reality. Been here ever since. But just so you know, typing that way automatically stereotypes you a certain way on the net, a way that doesn't match reality. (I reckon you couldn't give two shits).
Maybe you get a certain artistic kick out of it? It is a type of audience filter I suppose. Pretty irrelevant in the end, but it is a barrier to entry, that's just a fact.
Oh dear, I am going to lose sleep over this...
BTW, the pattern is not random and there is a built in financial pun when one refers to large and small caps.
I noticed way back that consonants are capitalized but vowels are lower case unless they begin a word.
I don't get the pun, though...
consonance capital? maybe...
my gawd that reminds me of those stupid security checks with the wiggling letters that don't look like letters (keep working with this banzai, anything that irritating has go to be a great source of material)
javascript plus google.com/fonts -> wish granted.
I don't think that's gonna work here ;-)
WMB7, some of your best work ever. Thanks! Crazy fun, but dead on target. Yellen at the goal posts and the album cover of Boulevard of Broken Dreams are both fantastic!
Will, you may want to lay off the Jethro Tull. I think their heavy metal tones are making you more agressive.
Flutes and baroque chord voicings are not heavy metal.
Here's a funny, I was reading the Tull Wikipedia page (don't ask) and ran across this fully bizarre review by the self-important Village Voice rock critic of the time...
http://www.robertchristgau.com/xg/bk-aow/tull.php
Because its fans have been known to get involved in riots--not only the modest ticket melee that preceded this appearance but at least one major tear-gas affair, in Denver in 1971--and because it has spawned groups like Blodwyn Pig and Wild Turkey, there is a tendency to lump Tull with the so-called heavy bands. This is like calling the Mothers psychedelic because they entitle an album Freak Out! The analogy is doubly apt because Ian Anderson, Tull's vocalist-flutist-guitarist-composer and conceptmaster, is both an admirer and, it turns out, an imitator of Frank Zappa. If Jethro Tull can be categorized at all, it is as a supercommercial Mothers of Invention.
Hilarious, but the critic is otherwise kind of a plotz.
Trouble ahead, trouble behind.....
peace
He pushed his own thing in Passion Play and Thick as a Brick and then went totally commercial starting with Bungle in the Jungle.
He did do a nice Christmas song a while back.
An artist has to support himself. I know the feeling ;-)
I am still a huge Ian Anderson fan, but from "Thick as a Brick" on his albums lost something. Meethinks perhaps he read too many Aqualung reviews and tried too much to follow some sort of theme genre.. His earlier stuff though is bodacious.
As for Pink Floyd, "Comfortably Numb" literally brings me to tears. Your choice of music is at least as eclectic as your fine art... I do not agree with your critic that you need to use more capitals, maybe more tildas or carets...
I loved early Genesis and then Brand X as well.
They have a Grammy for best metal performance. Are you saying you are more knowledgeable about music than the voting members of the Recording Academy?
If you want to put it that way, yes.
Any serious musician will tell you the recording academy is a whore house.
And I am sure Ian Anderson, of all people, held his nose as he took the money.
He did'nt' evenbother to attend the ceremony: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammy_Award_for_Best_Hard_Rock/Metal_Perfo...
The flute is made of metal, that must be it ;^)
I remember going to see Bela Fleck a while ago. He said we recently won a Grammy for Best Pop Instumental Album (or something). And he said, "I didn't know that's what we are".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9XDUBDMNuk
Best Pop Instrumental album to Bela Fleck. That is even better.
I receive a daily email letter from someone who has been in the recording industry since the 60s. They really brought their own misery.
WB7, don't let the flunkys dull your edge with their mundane ramblings.
Learn how to use capital letters.
Respect your elders bitch.....if you can't figure out how to do it we'll be more than happy to beat it into you.
Now piss off little man.
WilliamBanzai7,
Your effort on this post has catapulted you into a new plane of Combat Visuals!
As a reasonably long term ZH'er, I'm saying your skill level has improved to the point of serious consideration for more than Visual Combat...seriously.
There has always been the cognitive element in your art, however the physical skills have caught up with the mental, emotional and rebellious elements.
WOW, simply WOW!
DaddyO
For what it's worth, I agree with DaddyO. Your references have never been better, your interpretation has never been sharper and your skills have never been so fine. Simply wonderful work.
WB7 has achieved escape velocity - we can only watch and applaud.
Careful William, the air gets really thin up there. : - /
I haven't taken my shoes off and I don't expect i ever will, figuratively that is ;-)
Great works, but it still haunts my dreams in a bad way. I used to dream of hot naked chicks, now I only see stuff like this. My sheets say cleaner at least....
Signed up ZH seeking "the 3rd way" that is was sick of both Dems & Reps. That was like 3 years ago. Now tho
the #1 reason I click is WB7. The Nighthawks ref ... William B7 you are the man!
