is the body of lady liberty between the two corporate clowns really from that iconic photo of the naked vietnamese girl running from a burning village toward GI's on a road. there something seductive about using images that way, you recognize them subliminally, then they are rearranged into a new mosaic, old images blurred or made obscure. like that person you see on the subway, do i know you?

I on the other hand like this piece exactly for what it is, artistic appropriation be damned. I only wish he would put Ronald McBloomberg on the clown body, underneath the Big Gulp.
That is probably one of the most graphic and most expressive artistic ways to deliver the true political message of all that Red&Blue Corporate America stands for. Bomb the world into complete oppression, then invade with corporate interests and exploit the global population.

I am a pure conno-sewer of fine street art and am unmoved by the Banksy hype. He is no Peter Missing who brought us the epic upside-down martini glass and the Tompkins Square Park riot. He is more like a politically aware brit advertising creative frustrated by his 1200 quid-a-day freelance gig, and gets much more satisfaction from Campbells Soup Can art than Campbells Soup Can Ads. He's WAY more Warhol than Basqiat.

2. Banksy spends hours and hours with an exacto knife perfecting stencils to create pertinent art.
3. Banksy spends hours and hours travelling to canvas the planet with said art.
4. WB7 spends hours and hours moving a mouse and switches it all up, then takes credit.

And where does it say that Banksy does not appropriate other people's shit as well. A casual spin around Googleland confirms this to be a point of much contention.

WB. Fantastic work as usual! You are the definition of an artist's artist. I am sure if the man who is Banksy has seen your portfolio, he is as impressed with your work as you are of his.
I find some connection between the timing of this set of work, and a conversation going on in the comments setion of Tyler's article reporting the 44,000 signatures on Moveon.org requesting the arrest of GOPers. While ironic that more people have signed this than enrolled in the (Federal!) health exchange (+ >35,000 more on state exchanges), and that the request is a little misguided (though not out of the question when looking at the definition of the word seditious), but that anyone with half a brain would defend the actions of any Beltway hack. Most of them should be arrested, why don't we start with the dumbest.
But what irks me the most right now, is the liberal bashing these rednecks are spewing on this site. As if the Repunginants aren't far more at fault for the calamity this nation is facing...sure Obamacare is misguided, but the basic belief that accesible (and affordable) healthcare is a human right is lost on these wingnuts. And that is a real shame. Sure, the mandate is unconstitutional, and the exchanges are bullshit (and glitchy), but figuring out how the hell we are going to ensure people get medical care when they need it (and before they need it) is one of the more pressing social issues facing our nation. It seems the wingnut class in this country is intent on seeing the working class rot to death from preventable and treatable disease, with no remorse.
Its sad to see such ignorance on full display here at ZH.
Alternatively the fit survive and the sick die, and the population is made NET healthier via that. Then the incentive becomes for parents to teach their children to not knowingly do things that will make then sick or damaged, and to do things that will make them more healthy and resilient.
Instead there's almost no incentive to remain fit or healthy, junk food is cheap and abounds, and there's no price and tax disincentives to consuming it (as is applied to cigarettes in many countries, which works, with a carton of cigarettes costing up to $135 here, and the boxes in the carton are covered with ugly cancer images, and large health warnings). And the private health provider incentive is to gouge the system out to the max, and increase profits. And they will, in a time of declining disposable incomes.
And let's not forget that people were always able to buy private healthcare insurance if they chose to. In countries where it has existed for decades, many still can't afford it, and prices have of course spiralled upwards, and 'regulators' are of course ineffectual.
Relax though, soon enough euthanasia will not be denied when medical treatment, supply, facility and money runs out.

Who are "they". The same people who bought and paid for the right to write the law.
Who are those people? Corporate parasites. Just ask the mainstream on both sides of the aisle.
Do those corporate parasites care about creating an inclusive and efficient healthcare system? They are indifferent, just as long as they get to continue to suck it to the bone and commute between Aspen and the Caymans.
Bottom line, Obamacare is another way to say clusterfuck for corporatism.

Does anyone have a link to the place where everyone was getting personal information on me from I guess hackers who were releasing all kinds of stuff about me. Just wondering where so many people were getting information on me from. I know it's old news by now but being the victim of the hackers I was just wondering. The one guy even mentioned I owed on my taxes I know he wasn't from the NSA obviously. I'm just wondering who was behind all of this. Also some people are accusing me of some fucked up shit since there is some site or something about me I'd appreciate it if I could see it more out of curiosity than anything else.
