Not really, my wife wears a "swastika" around her wrist. But she's no nazi.

As it turns out, those hiveminded shitfuckers stole a perfectly good bhuddist symbol for their inhumane campaign.

You're attempting to linearly seperate a nonlinear issue. It will not work.

Besides the Navajo Native American Tribe also used that Symbol to represent the Universe. They were Oceans apart from the Bhuddists....but perhaps Spiritually Entangled...as all Humans are...as Entanglement forms the basics of the Quantum Theory of Nature.

I see.  Do Nazi's ever wear disguises?  Wouldn't a Nazi first have to accept Nazi attitudes in his mind and if so, wouldn't that imply that one is a Nazi at heart before any manifestation of Nazi dress or demeanor?  If that's true, then different manifestations of Nazism, like different cultures could express the same acceptance by different people everywhere.

Well, I agree, it IS hyperbole - I don't think we're at the same level of fascism as WWII... we're more like Nazi Germany circa 1935? You could still leave then, and the outright slaughter hadn't quite begun.

Give it a couple of years, though, we're well on our way to the point it won't be hyperbole.

It's funny how virtally every .gov person you meet will say - quite truthfully - that they abhor fascism... and then go back to the office and beaver away 9-to-5 to deliver it.

The level of fascism, as you note, is a function of time. Therefore, the comparison is NOT hyperbole, but rather a timely warning that ought to be heeded.

Especially since there is no escaping it, thanks to currency debasement (same as it ever was).

But no, charges of hyperbole will continue to obscure until it consumes us all.

This time it will be quicker, more indiscriminate - swarms of single-use drones using all those hollow-pts they've bought.

ebworthen's picture

Yeah, tell that to Merkel and the Germans NYT!

.gov is only violating basic precepts of The Constitution and employing NAZI/STASI tactics against their own citizens.

It's hyperbole because forcing every American to buy health insurance and be tracked, and recording phone calls and private communications surreptitiously, and drone strikes in Pakistan and elsewhere, have no resemblance whatsoever to the NAZI's.

*cough*

that's because the nazi germany story is part of the new global religion, holocaustianity...  and you are not permited to compare what is happening now to the sacred time because it has now become myth, and any comparison to modern times takes away the power (to mind control) of that myth.

What the holocaustians do not appreciate is that the time to act was early on when the ordinary Germans said we had no idea what small seemingly inconvenient encroachments on our civil liberties would lead to. And later when they realised what happened gradually, it was far to late to do anything.

The expression became, keep your mouth shut and look the other way or it's off to the camps.

So let's not be frogs in boiling water and call it what it is, a violent fascist klepto corporatocracy.

people were distracted somewhat, people were put in camps for their labor. a lot of them weren't jews. the nation was on an insane course for industrial output, (sound familiar?) the economy was not allowed to slow down, (so they printed money) and fascism came about because after the depression private industry was shutdown (no profit, no business) so the fascists promised to make the trains run on time. the nation wanted to get people to work, and there were no private sector jobs, so they rounded up able bodied people (and if you weren't willing or able to work they did away with you finally)

the German people didn't start out to persecute, that came alter. if the US had left Europe alone, which a lot of Americans thought they should, the German solution would have gotten their economy moving again. eventually private business would have come back, and people would have had real jobs, not cc camp jobs. (which wasn't too far from the FDR program really) but the war was too much for tiny Germany to handle, and the Russians, and the thing imploded.

the American stasi seems abhorrent largely because the economic solution is not coming, and we are heading for our 3rd Reich moment.

That video in its entirety is actually quite fascinating from the standpoint of what sort of impact a peaceful yet determined "mob" can have on a gang of costumed thugs who know deep down that they done wrong.

Like most, I only knew the headline, the short clip of the pepperspray act and the iconic image shown above until recently when I went on youtube and watched the whole video.  The protesters shouted down the cops with chants of "SHAME ON YOU!" for minutes on end... the cops start huddling together and backing away sheepishly and the chants morph to "YOU CAN GO!" as the cops recognize the situation for what it is and continue to retreat.  Cheers erupt from the crowd of protesters when they realize they've won.  Peacefully. No stones.  No molotov cocktails.  No fists.  No lynching.  An no arrests (as far as I know).

Take 8 minutes out of your day and watch the whole clip.  Brought a tear to my eye.

I watched a cop freak out once when he was nearly surrounded by "SHAME!" chanters, as he held a kid down on the pavement waiting for backup. He pulled his pistol out, first waving it around at us, then putting it to the back of the kid's head, threatening to shoot him if the crowd didn't stop chanting.

That was when I made the tactical decision to get out of the area.

I don't think I'll be going back to Philly anytime soon.

Really.  You might be speaking German, Japanese or Russian otherwise.  And this blog wouldn't exist because the freedom to do it would not exist.  I see why each generation must learn it themselves as reading it in a book or seeing it on an old news-reel just isn't enough.  We used to stand for something and something was worth dying for.  Now I'm not sure who we are, but I don't like it.
