You are having angries while you are having little shitties in the camo-pantyhose you are having on. What a terrible thing you are speaking when you are having foolishnesses in the thinking.

You are thinking like the peoples who are retarded. Taking the one aspirin or taking so many aspirins even if having so much money for buying the many more aspirins will not fixing this.

If you are being kind to peoples you should not be having worries about any of the things you are not having the powers to be changing such as your retarded thinkings.

SPX futures pinging off the Bernoulli 133 channel line
When the chart "pings" off an important channel line, that gives a lot of credibility to the channel. Futures ES is shown here, with a perfect ping off the Bernoulli 133 channel line extension.

Bernoulli channels (my creation) are like Fibonacci, but they take into account uptrends and downtrends, i.e. headwinds and tailwinds, organic buying and selling amidst the trading moves.

As predicted a few days ago, I expect a move to 1700 to the Bernoulli mid channel line, the B50.

Google, Bing and Duckduckgo all recognized Halloween on their homepage, not Baidu though. I wonder if it's because it is not officially recognized, or they just don't give a shit, or both.

Thanks for the pics WB7, that more than makes up.

Well, I did the math.
We had 86.47 trick-or-treaters.
Definitely down from last year.

So does that mean tomorrow that Obama will announce "Less people looking for a handout".
I'm sure they even spin these numbers into the GDP or unemployment.

janus's picture

man-oh-man, janus is still a fan...WIldBill, yet another superb sampling of your idosyncratic genius.  my pic o' the litter?  that mongrel-mutt, k. alexander, that's what (or possibly which (or is that witch?)).  whatever i mean, i most mean to say that that was the best treat of my halloweening today.  the pic of voyeur-xander's mug mates up perfectly with the lice-infested fate awaiting him.

so now, Hedgers, ZHealots, Ladies & Gentlemen -- Boys & Girls -- Olde & Young -- Rich & Poor, check your pettiness and bleating senstitivites at the door, janus has a bag full o' tricks...and even i don't know what's in store.

some serious-minded folk caution me as to a certain vice; they accuse me of it without consideration...without the slightest sympathy for my feelings they lob cold-hearted barbs at my deepest insecurities.  they say i suffer from a bad case of monomania; i hew so stubbornly fast to a single subject that all other affecting causes or concerns/effects or influences are ignored because, well, i'm just so goddam disiplined in maintaining a single theme.  they tell me to mix it up; to take chances; be a bit creative now and again.  i'd be disingenuious if'n i said it didn't hurt; and i've soaked many a pillow through with a torrent or two of spastic sobbing...weep till i'm weary of it, i do.  i always feel much better after a near epileptic fit of self-pity, and it's ever-so reassuring to blame others for your short-commings; but nothing, and i mean nothing, will balm the bruised ego like vindication...rubbing their noses in it, so to speak.  that'll learn em!  so, please, one & all, bear with me as i deviate from standard practice and explore several subjects illustrating disperate themes.  but this will not be a bunch of ramshackle ramblings.  no, this will be a cosmic/holistic undertaking -- according to which i will address any number of events and ideas in order of their relevance, importance and impact upon humanity in it's totality...heavy-heavy stuff...onward and upward!

#1  for my good friends down in the big apple, those of you who've forgotten what it's like to host a world series championship team -- and not just a team, a real-deal/true-blue bunch of principaled young men, altogether absent any primadonnas...an authentic team in every sense of the word, a squad that has, in a single season, put the whole 'money-ball' methodology into question, and furthermore provoked a bit of ponderation on behalf of upper-upper management (owners all-over are now stroking their chins and thinkin, 'hey, maybe these spread-sheets weren't all they were cracked up to be...maybe there's something to solid, fundamental baseball, the love of the game and that ole fashioned stuff, after all') -- yes, new yorkers, in case'n you were wonderin, it is awesome.  GO SOX!  btw, who is a-rod dating these days?  also, word has it that you spooge-soaked flunkies in DC are tryin to field a team...that's cute.

and as a side note (see, now i'm tangenting like a pro), i'll say that 'redskins' in no way offends janus (i like to believe family rumors that i'm a sliver indian)...i do, however, take umbradge over this 'senators' appelation...big-time umbradge -- janus is heap'em umbradged.  how!  what, are we to encourage our children in emulating these creatians and creepy pervs?  'senators', bah!  who among you would like to see your son or daughter ferment six or such-like multiple of years in the steamy miasma of washington d.c., in the low and depraved station of a senator?  in fact, i'm going to take my 3 sons on a DC tour as a sorta scared-straight tutorial.  janus will bode them all stern-like, 'see, boys, this is what happens when you forsake any semblance of honor, dignity, courage, principal, virtue, etc...do you want to end-up like the spooge-soaked flunkies you see tramping our hallowed institutions asunder?'  'no, daddy...please counsel us as to avoiding this most ignoble fate', is what i expect they'll say.  janus will then shake his head dolefully and counsel thusly, 'beloved sons, these are the foul fruits of ideology, and this is the noisome flowering of its triumph over integrity'...or some such-like is what i expect i'll say.

so, yes, janus would like to lodge a formal complaint in earnest expression of his wounded sensibilities...he is offended to the max.  why, i'd sooner they be called the cali-cartel-catamounts, the south-side crips, the al-caponers, big-thugs with big sticks...whatever.  just, please, will somebody consider the effect this is having on our children?  this 'senator' mascot is an unacceptable abomination; and i won't stand for it!

#2  as some of you may-well have guessed, janus does indeed endorse a whole-sale re-jiggering of our 'arrangement' in the middle east. oh, how i wish things weren't as they ever-so distressingly are in the age of our days on this good earth, as the minds of men are tangled in a briar of bad; it's sad...if'n there were a way apart from manipulating ancient prejudice and innate bigotry, i'd back it; if only there were alternative means for mediating affairs as to affect a peacable, equitable and sustainable stasis in that 'holy' area; why, i'd brace my shoulder behind the effort and push till i heard somethin 'pop'.  sadly, in the market of alternatives there is but a duopoly: sunni/shia.

truth be known, i actually like the arab.  alas, for reasons impossibly complex and needless to delineate, i'll again affirm my stance with the shia.  and i bring all this up because i am now, in an ancillary sorta way, personally affected -- or should i say 'implicated' -- in the sunni/shia mess...this is so fuckin strange:  right, so, not long ago i start to sorta hint at this; and then, a very short time ago (as in, a few days ago) i learn that my little brother is the cheif designer of what is to be the world's largest hotel, in mecca (or it could be medina...my mother isn't great with details).  irony is, even as cheif architect, he'll never see his big-ole baby...he being an infidel and all.  so, in this the age of our days on this good earth, you've got one brother out to smash a sunni edifice and the other apt to erect another in its place.  all i know is, he better make sufficent accomodations for scads & scads of goat slaughtering...those hajiers are enthusiastic and ambitious in the way of cloven-hooved sacrifices -- and goats are, it seems, the preferred cud-chewing offerings.

#3  i suppose apologies will do; although, it'd be mighty-white of you boys in the institutional 'right' to acknowledge the good turn we liberty-lovers did ya in subverting that scandalous 'strike' in syria...and i mean 'acknowledge' in a meaningful way; which is to say, you bitchez owe us...big time.  supposin' you'd gotten your way; supposin we'd gone ahead with that mad-cap (and altogether wicked) enterprise; you'd be cavin and capitulatin like the sad lot of craven and bloated cataracts you are...bitchez.  now do yourselves a favor and listen to janus:  this relative peace has afforded the american people a small slice of repose, from which they can understand obamacare as it's unfurled and all its ghastly mendacity is exposed.  otherwise, you'd be nodding along to every demonic dagger that's cloaked in the drape of war-time terror-drama...bitchez.

boomers are rousting from their slumber; gens X,Y & Z are apped-out -- vapid digi-games don't for them do it anymore, as the distractions from distraction were always bound to reveal themselves as insufferable and ephemeral bores; the ole timers are unwilling to see their toils and tears end in smoldering cinders; middle america is sucking in the first breaths of a seethe; next comes piqued indignation; and full-blown fury cannot be far behind.  none of which bodes well for TPTB; all of which portends a grand and beautiful new age; you, who've long thunk you had it all figured out, will in short order see what i mean.

True.  The average person has no understanding of WWII other than the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor so we had to drop Nukes on them.

Was Hitler rascist?  Hmmm, allied with Arabs, Japanese and Italians....  Doesn't seem to support the theory that Hitler was rascist, does it?  Me thinks Hitler may have been a little pissed about the reparations of Versailles which to France paid more than every asset in France was worth.  Perhaps he was upset about the stab in the back by the bankers during which Germany was winning WW1?  Maybe he was worried about the Bolsheviks aim to revolutionize Germany into Communism?

History is written by the people who create money out of thin-air....

Oh, and that is one fine looking chickie....

Well, I don't know if he was a racist or call it something else, but among others, he certainly hated the jews. That did not mean he would not do business with some of them to suit his own purposes. And he may have hated gypsies, Poles, Magyars and others equally or more. But they could not serve as the evil scape goated enemy he required as the jewish population of Germany did.

In this part of the world, the history of WWII atrocities revolves around the behavior of the Japanese Imperial Army.

In Japan, they are busy trying to whitewash and rehash everything.

The mandated action of forced adverse selection, the automatic accomodation of those with known prior conditions under zer0care, is directly analogous to the inclusion of aggressively commanded (CRA) bad mortgages under the Valuation at Risk (VaR) model used to assess risk on debt instruments. The math heads in both camps are pretty impressive. If actuaries thought they could go into financially depressed areas and make green-backs, they would do it. People tolerate otherwise detestable people all the time if everybody is making money. Sorry, for those who think a little bigotry would be allowed to interfere withthe profit motive

I think the concept of "perfecting the security" is where the breakdown occurs.

This was not unintentional in either case.

Does anybody seriously think that in the presence of ever advancing technology that Americans won't eventually jmprovise their way out of this mess? (I am hoping for bitcoin to ride to the rescue, myself.) We are sacrificinmg the holders of Long US Treasuries for the greater good on a short-term basis. I also think that we may be smaking out the opposition in a long game.

If we are going to sacrifice our fiat system to finesse a couple of seriously challenging situations using a little good ol' American style Chicago mafia jujitzu, at least its the US using it on our adversaries rather they using it on us.

THE ROCKY HORROR PRINTER SHOW

,

LETS DO THE SUBPRIME WARP AGAIN

It's astounding
Markets are fleeting
Keynesian madness takes its toll
But listen closely

Not for very much longer

We've got to regain fraudulent control
I remember doing the Subprime Warp
Drinking those moments when
Moral hazard would skip past me
And the greed would be calling

Let's do the Subprime Warp again
Let's do the Subprime Warp again

It's just a CDO jump to the left

And then a ZIRP step to the right

With your hands on your FIAT hips

You bring your toxic tranches in tight
But it's the QE thrust
That really drives you insane
Let's do the Subprime Warp again
Let's do the Subprime Warp again

It's so dreamy
Oh, Lord Keynes free me
So you can't see me
No, not at all
In another financial dimension
With decidedly fraudulent intentions
Well deluded, I see all

With a bit of a REPO flip

You're into a Lehman slip

And nothing can ever be the same

You're spaced out on Quantitative Qualudes

Like you're under sedation

Let's do the Subprime Warp again
Let's do the Subprime Warp again

Well I was walking down the street
Just a having a think
When a snake of a Squid gave me an evil wink
He shook-a me up, he took my wallet by surprise
He had a Porsche pick up truck and the devil's eyes
He stared at me and I felt a change
Time value meant nothing, never would again

Let's do the Subprime Warp again
Let's do the Subprime Warp again

It's just a CDO jump jump to the left

And then a ZIRP step to the right

With your hands on your Fiat hips

You bring your Toxic Tranches in tight
But it's the QE thrust
That really drives you insane
Let's do the Subprime Warp again

31 OCTOBER 2013

An Enemy of the State

Redefining 'Imminent Threat'

In early 2013, a Department of Justice white paper surfaced that laid out the Lawfulness of a Lethal Operation Directed Against a U.S. Citizen.

The government lawyers who wrote the 16-page document asserted that the government need not possess specific intelligence indicating that an American citizen is actively engaged in a particular or active terror plot in order to be cleared for targeted killing.

Instead, the paper argued that a determination from a 'well-informed high level administration official' that a target represents an 'imminent threat' to the United States is a sufficient basis to order the killing of an American citizen. But the Justice Department’s lawyers sought to alter the definition of 'imminent,' advocating what they called a 'broader concept of imminence.'

They wrote, 'The condition that an operational leader present an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States does not require the United States to have clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons will take place in the immediate future.'

The government lawyers argued that waiting for a targeted killing of a suspect 'until preparations for an attack are concluded, would not allow the United States sufficient time to defend itself.' They asserted that such an operation constitutes 'a lawful killing in self-defense' and is 'not an assassination.'

Jameel Jaffer of the ACLU called the white paper a 'chilling document,' saying that 'it argues that the government has the right to carry out the extrajudicial killing of an American citizen.'

Jaffer added, 'This power is going to be available to the next administration and the one after that, and it’s going to be available in every future conflict, not just the conflict against al-Qaeda.

And according to the [Obama] administration, the power is available all over the world, not just on geographically cabined battlefields. So it really is a sweeping proposition...'

Today, decisions on who should live or die in the name of protecting America’s national security are made in secret, laws are interpreted by the president and his advisers behind closed doors, and no target is off-limits, including U.S. citizens. But the decisions made in Washington have implications far beyond their impact on the democratic system of checks and balances in the United States.
