It was disappointing to watch the medal of freedom ceremony yesterday. He was giving out "bro hugs" to some of the recipients of the highest civilian award possible. * I call it a bro-hug when you do the hand shake and the shoulder bump kinda thing at the same time. * Nothing wrong with it, but probably not appropriate during the formal ceremony. A little too intimate and informal.
Some of the recipients were visibly upset at this, including bill clinton. Ohh the irony!

well thats what was so weird about it. You got dignitaries dressed to the nines. The press covering for the history books, not the MSM talking head shows. You got professional readers listing the accomplishment of these people's lifes work. You got jarheads in their dress blues standing at inspection level attention for over an hour.

Good points. I am just trying to say he simply did not have enough experience to do the job. Neither did bubba in hindsite. Obama himself is starting to admit it. Earlier this week he said something to the effect of " you know I had only been on the national stage for 3 years before I got this job " humility during the job interview (election) is a good thing. humility after you got the job and they let your predecesor retire is counter productive.
Thats what I think bubba was thinking as he and others grimaced, and the irony I mentioned.

Thanks Nihl Ciph, Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. A good glass (or bottle!) of TN antifreeze with friends and family is exactly what we need. My seventh great grandfathers son was the first Constable/Sherrif in Wilson County - just east of the county Nashville is in - Williamson County? Anyhow, beautiful country, fine people, great music, good history AND good whiskey there. I will remember give you ZH'ers a shout and a drink from NC/VA or both!
