Regulators Watch Porn and Literally Sleep with Industry They’re Supposed to Rein In … Instead of Protecting the Public
The Washington Times reported yesterday that Nuclear Regulatory Commission workers watch porn instead of cracking down on unsafe conditions at nuclear plants.
That’s not an isolated problem …
We noted last year:
Investigators from the Treasury’s Office of the Inspector General found that some of the regulator’s employees surfed erotic websites, hired prostitutes and accepted gifts from bank executives … instead of actually working to help the economy.
Likewise, senior SEC employees spent up to 8 hours a day surfing porn sites instead of cracking down on financial crimes.
The Minerals Management Service – the regulator charged with overseeing BP and other oil companies to ensure that oil spills don’t occur – was riddled with “a culture of substance abuse and promiscuity”, which included “sex with industry contacts”.
The biggest companies own the D.C. politicians. Indeed, the head of the economics department at George Mason University has pointed out that it is unfair to call politicians “prostitutes”. They are in fact pimps … selling out the American people for a price.

"In a world of complex and continuing problems, in a world full of frustrations and irritations, America's leadership must be guided by the lights of learning and reason -- or else those who confuse rhetoric with reality and the plausible with the possible will gain the popular ascendancy with their seemingly swift and simple solutions to every world problem." -JFK
Man, they could write good speaches bad then. Worth fifty Tylers.

There was a boy of other days, A quiet, awkward, earnest lad, Who trudged long weary miles to get A book on which his heart was set— And then no candle had! He was too poor to buy a lamp But very wise in woodmen’s ways. He gathered seasoned bough and stem, And crisping leaf, and kindled them Into a ruddy blaze. Then as he lay full length and read, The firelight flickered on his face, And etched his shadow on the gloom, And made a picture in the room, In that most humble place. The hard years came, the hard years went, But, gentle, brave, and strong of will, He met them all. And when today We see his pictured face, we say, “There’s light upon it still.”I'm sure that headline was a hard sell. When have you ever heard of someone that believes the government is there to protect anyone?
Kiptin she kinna take i' no moar, the rods aer overheatin'!

Typical gov employee, work up to 8 hours a day and not a minute more. Who wants to guess how many hours was spent if a normal workday was 9 hours?

The Internet is for PornI like the inflation in the chest size of British porn models.
Hopefully it's not transitory.
You didn't make that porn.
Even a full body condom can't save us at this point
George... just wanted to make sure you didn't miss this one...
On January 2, 2013, David Eckert failed to make a complete stop when he pulled out of a Walmart store in Deming, NM. A police officer then asked David to get out of his car and claimed he saw Eckert “clenching his buttocks” which supposedly was a sign that Eckert had drugs in his anal cavity. According to news reports, Eckert voluntarily consented to a search of his car by a K-9 unit. No drugs were found. But the police officers involved were not satisfied and Eckert was then put in investigative detention while they secured a warrant from a judge to search his body. Then Eckert’s humiliating examination began at a nearby medical center.
Here is a summary from the local NBC TV station KOB 4 about what Mr. Eckert went through.
1. Eckert’s abdominal area was X-rayed; no narcotics were found.
2. Doctors then performed an exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
3. Doctors performed a second exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
4. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
5. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a second time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
6. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a third time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
7. Doctors then X-rayed Eckert again; no narcotics were found.
8. Doctors prepared Eckert for surgery, sedated him, and then performed a colonoscopy where a scope with a camera was inserted into Eckert’s anus, rectum, colon, and large intestines. No narcotics were found.
His attorney, Shannon Kennedy has filed a lawsuit against the City of Deming, Deming police officers on behalf of Eckert. “This is essentially medical anal rape, numerous times over a 12-hour period,” Kennedy said. “I can’t imagine anything more horrifying than what happened to our client.”
Eckert later received a bill for his torture from the hospital, which threatened to turn him over to a collections agency if he failed to pay. Eckert is said to be so traumatized by the experience it is reported he is a prisoner in his own home and afraid to come out.
He was promised, "If you like your virgin anus, you can keep your virgin anus".
(1) "Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool."

(3) "Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool."
Now that's a bunch of shit!
Dude, that's fucked up.
The citizens of Deming should storm the police headquarters and forcibly rape every police officer there with police batons.
I think its about time we all start carrying guns and make the cops fantasy a reality. Every time a cop stops someone they believe they are pulling over a crazed criminal bent on destruction and ready to murder the poor cop at first glance. In Massachusetts your car will always be flanked by a second cop with both hands on his gun ready to pull it at a moments notice, even if you did something as innocent as not stopping for three whole seconds at a stop sign, or forgetting to use a turn signal when there was no other car at an intersection.
Perhaps if people start blowing away every cop they see, we'll finally get some peace.
Cops are out of control and are really starting to look far worse than any criminal out there. I'm more scared of three cops standing around than a group of black youths. At least if the black youths make a move I am allowed to protect myself.
it wouldn't hurt if these particular officers were also forced enemas in public. That's what they did. just to be safe.
Bad idea.
For every cop that gets shot (and there are still some good ones)... the trigger fingers of 100,000 cops nationwide are squeezed a little tighter when you roll the window down at your next traffic stop...
Then maybe they'll realize they went too far and stop stopping traffic once they realize how out-numbered they are and how angry people are at the crimes THOSE cops commit. Repeated medical anal rape is not forgivable.
This also adds extra fuel to the "Us vs. Them" mindset - the perception of us lesser "civilians" vs "The Police".
Eventually there will be erosion of trust to the point where "the Man in the Street" really does feel the need to protect himself against "official predation" (which is what we see developing), at which point your scenario will certainly occur (and it'll not be a "little tighter" squeeze!), with the inevitable escalation in body count.
Will we see a return of some common sense, along the lines of "Gee, we've rather overstepped the mark here, and the people we are supposed to "Protect and to Serve" obviously feel threatened by us even during routine operations, so we will have to really wind back the gun culture thing, and start to relearn non-violent and non-confrontational strategies for interaction with our customers"?
Or, will we see a consolidation of existing attitudes - with a "shoot first and ask questions later" mindset becoming fully established as the "new normal" in Community Policing??
I know which outcome I'd prefer, but who is paying for whom? And why the relatively sudden "need" to para-militarise even small rural Police Departments?
Just paranoia, or is there a plan in the offing??
You remember Dorner? You remember the giant fan club he got? That's why he got it & more are coming.
Poor guy.. they mistook him for one of the great unwashed, instead of a 1 percenter. Funny how its a travesty when it happens to a master... and an unreportable standard operating procedure for the masses....
And you know he's a 1%er how?
Thanks, ZH, I had seen (and been sickened) by it.
Seems that David Eckart wasn't the only victim - there is at least one other. http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2013/11/07/2907661/mexico-man-reports-police-forced-anal-probe-traffic-stop/ . All "investigations" were performed at the same Medical Centre, and that in itself should (and has) prompted further investigation.
There is at least one on-line campaign under way to demand suspension / termination of those involved ("Police" and Clinicians (!)), although the behaviour of the "Police" is more in line with that of a paid militia! https://www.causes.com/v2actions/1763036-a-petition-to-deming-police-chief-brandon-gigante-deputy-district-attorney-daniel-dougherty-of-d
There is a LOT if interest in this case, e.g. http://blog.independent.org/2013/11/06/david-eckert-and-the-reality-of-the-american-police-state/, and a quick Internet search reveals over 6,700,000 page hits. I suspect this case is not going to "go quietly into the night".
Will this be the "final straw" that leads to an effective demand for disempowerment of the "new militias", and a return to a genuine "keepers of the peace" role rather than what seems to be a revenue generation role (plenty of victimless "crimes" with juicy fines (fees) attached)? Or will this be "conveniently dismissed" and the leviathan State continues on its chosen path of totalitarian dominance?
"Will this be the "final straw" "
The problem we face is that Americans through normalcy bias have gotten used to "outragious" ... to be a successful "final straw" the act will have to be absolutely fucking hideous...
Close but probably no cigar. even with handing the victim the bill for the bullet... errr... medical procedure...
Being billed $6000 for an unnecessary series of procedures (including radiation exposure and a general anaesthetic) must surely be the icing the cake.
Apart from the myriad legal loopholes in the case (and the very suspect reputation of the Judge that issued the Warrant), the Clinicians performing the procedures were clearly (and I suspect knowingly) treading well beyond the accepted bounds of Medical ethics (even in Rural America!!)
This must become an AMA issue. If the AMA does not impose meaningful sanctions (which must include termination of registration) then do you feel safe with this sort of accepted behaviour??
Minimum sanctions here would be termination of registration, with a mandatory and significant (years) requalification / reassessment period before re-registration is even considered. Especially in the light of emerging evidence that this Medical Centre has done this sort of thing in the past.
This must become an AMA issue.
The AMA is a first-tier partner of the neo-fascist US guv. They will do nothing against it.
Disobedience is the only answer. Mere complaint doesn't do a damned thing.
I hope he sues the hospital, doctors, clinicians, and the police/city and wins BIG.
We've gone from a society where you could get arrested for consensual sex with your wife behind closed doors to a society where you can watch porn while on the job and never lose the job.
We've come a long way, baby.
Watching porn without giving it a pull is a waste of time.
Well I'm sure they're not wasting their time.
what manner of viagra is effective enuf to allow you to pull it for 8 hours of porn at work
and seriously, lube, no lube?
sitting at a desk...or does everyone have a lockable office door....just a bit confused...brain exploding....

More evidence that we live in a FASCIST state.

Brawndo. It's got what plants crave. It's got ... electrolytes.
Reading this I kept visualizing Homer Simpson, slurping coffee, eating donuts, and watching porn in the reactor's control room. Please Mr. Bonzai, paste-up a proper image to go with this article (you might wish to give Matt Groening a quick call for his OkeeDokee).
Doesn't this quote from the article make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
“When determining the appropriate penalty the NRC considers a number of factors, including but not limited to the nature and seriousness of the action and frequency of the action; the employee’s job level; the employee’s past disciplinary record; the employee’s work record, including length of service; and consistency with other like or similar cases,” she wrote in an email."
"length of service" measured in inches?
What are regulators going to do with their time now that Silk Road is shut down?
FYI: There are a couple of new Silk Roads already.
They'll be shut down soon enough.......Bit boy masturbator.
OOOoooo....ooooo....look ! I got me a shiny string of binary digits made on my Call of Duty SLI Nvidia GTX Titan......in between World of Warcraft sessions and ol' school Dungeons & Dragons. LOL !!!!
Incest is best, put your regulator to the test.
The SEC regulators know all the best porn sites. Government worker growth is really pushing the porn industry profits to new records.
It's research ....that's what they tell the IG
There's a lot of money in porn - http://www.covenanteyes.com/2012/06/01/how-big-is-the-pornography-industry-in-the-united-states/,
Good to see your tax dollars "at work" (and rest assured the situation Down Under s probably no better. . . . !)
