In 1971 Frank Sturgis gave a 22-page confession to Cardinal Cooke in New York of his involvement in the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963. Among his disclosures was that he was one of the shooters from the grassy knoll. Another disclosure was that Howard Hunt was present on Dealey Plaza at the time.
In the year after giving the Cardinal his confession Sturgis was arrested as one of the burglars in Watergate.
The Sturgis story is included in the link below that covers a number of subjects, among these being that former New York Police detective Jim Rothstein had the full confession read to him by someone who had it in his possession.
If President Nixon knew of Sturgis’ involvement in the JFK assassination and/or of his 22-page confession given to Cardinal Cooke, then this knowledge must have influenced his thinking immensely as he struggled with the Watergate scandal."

Israel and Iran used to be the best of friends about 30 years ago. They can be friends again, provided no one poisons the well. In fact, it is likely that the senior military on both sides got acquainted at US facilities while they were young officers.
A strike against the Iran nuclear program would have to be nuclear to be effective, given the target dispersion and hardening in effect. Yet there are both operating reactors as well as functioning plants in place, bombing them conventionally would be almost equally messy and even less effective. Plus the evidence of the past several decades is that anyone, even the poorest and most destitute such as North Korea, can make nuclear weapons. Short of killing all the engineers and scientists in the country, no strike will have more than a temporary effect, while galvanizing the polity.
Iran has a stable and respected Jewish community, in sharp contrast to States such as Saudi Arabia or Iraq, which are quasi US protectorates. So the idea of a genocidal Iran seems pretty far fetched. Moreover, Iran has recently lived through a murderous war imposed on it by Iraq, a war which cost it perhaps a million casualties. That is not easily forgotten or ignored, it touches too many families too deeply. Likewise, it cannot be in Israel's interest to launch nuclear strikes unilaterally, history has too many examples of unilateral tactics backfiring very badly and there are already lots of bombs in unstable hands, Pakistan's for instance. Israel has had enough trouble with terrorism as is that the idea of opening the way to legitimizing nuclear terror is irrational at best.
Speaking of the 1980-1988 Iraq/Iran war one thing I had to educate the sheeple on at university a few times was on this very thing. That kind of conflict is not forgotten. And it was absolutely brutal. Every family lost someone, or more; and everyone now knows the hand that Israel and the US played in that war. Well, everyone in Iran does, but facts are not taught in Western public schools.
And to those who say that Ahmadinejad (more appropriately Ahmad, son of Nejad in Islamic naming parlance) or the current president Rouhanni were not legitimately elected is a joke. They overwhelmingly got the veteran vote (and the rural vote in Ahmadi Nejad's case), and in a country that has over 20 million of them out of a current population just under 80 million, that's no small feat.
Besides, if you look at historical patterns you will see that Mesopotamia is a lowland civilization and is constantly under threat from the neighboring Persian mountain civilization just to it's east. If the lowlanders are not organized and united they will be conquered. Whether it's 3,000 b.c. or 2,000 a.d. makes little difference. Historic/Geographic overcurrents do not care about time.
History shows that the Persians have treated the Jews very well for hundreds of years.

Story I heard was the Jt Chiefs Chairman told Obama on the Friday before the desired weekend attack on Syria that the military could not advise/support such an attack as it would bring the Russians into a full scale World War. And w/our military stretched so thin, we'd be dead meat.
The Russians were/are protecting Syria to prevent a cross-Syrian pipeline that would have provided southern Europe w/an alternative source of nat gas and oil thereby cutting in on the Russian's lucrative stranglehold in Europe. That lack of a pipeline in turn pisses off the Saudis and Qataris. What a f*cking mess that place is.
I have no doubt any govt including the USG is capable of false flags. Question is, even if you're willing to do that, what do you do? Virtually any option that you can think of by way of reprisal for a false (or real) flag event, opens Pandora's box. Is it any wonder dear leader seems more and more mentally "detached?"
