I will say this on William's blog. I have been a blog warrior for years for better or for worse. I really can't put my finger on this exactly but I have this bad feeling that we have lost our edge. Perhaps it is just me but I am pretty sure we will agree. What can we do? I gave myself up and lost my well paying job as did so many others trying to fight these fuckers in 2008 and 2012 via the Ron Paul campaigns. We got rocked bigtime.
I am out of hope. I have been part of the republican party and I have seen what they do. I took control of some of the R party finances but it does no good. Nothing I have done has had any effect. I can't beat these fucking pricks. It is very disheartening. What would you want me to do?
Thanks to people like you, people who are just waking up have access to years of verified facts including links, videos, authors and expert opinions. Locally is how this will be handled, I believe. Get involved locally. I think friendship is necessary in these situations as discouragement is inevitable, especially when there are fires to put out literally everywhere. Thank you for you contribution. I always read your comments and enjoy them very much.

Take care of you and your family. Others who are more rested and ready will take your place. Recently I've wanted to go back and reread The Creature From Jekyll Island and Louis Brandeis' book Bankers and Other Peoples Money. I just can't right now. It is just too depressing and overwhelming. I'm going to step back as far as my reading is concerned and take a break. Maybe I'll download The Hunger Games. ;-)
Thank You. You might be correct but I can not unsee what I have seen. I can't hide or lie to myself about it. I have been trying to be more mellow but then I get called a pussy and wimp what have you because this if fight club. Sometimes fighting does not make a person smarter. I own the movie and Fight Club was a means to an end and it was replete with friendships. At the very least, a lot of folks need to watch the movie again. I only need all of you to step up. I have been at this shit for six years now. I took one for the team. I only hope it was worth it.

Manipuflation - this thread may have died on the vine, but I know exactly how you feel. It started for me during the Clinton years and at that time I became a proud member of Hillary's group of "Radical Right-Wingers". For YEARS, many of us ranted and raved on Prodigy's old dial-up " Whitewater Bulletin Board". That BB was one of the outlets where Matt Drudge started his rise to fame. He actually was a journalist at one time. Mena AK, Vince Foster, the "coffee kltaches", Ron Brown, Ken Starr, impeachment blah, blah. We all wrote letters, sent faxes, and every other damn thing we could think of...to the point that Prodigy's "Whitewater Bulletin Board" became the topic of a top of the fold editorial in the WSJ.
Well, guess what?. None of it matters. People like us can't change any of that. Run for office? I have NONE of what it takes to get elected. Raise money...ability to lie at will...bribe...stab people in the back. I can't do any of that. So what do you/we do? I don't know. For starters, we've uplugged the TV set and don't miss it. Sometimes we're tempted to shut off Internet and frankly spend much less time on the PC. Reading ZH can be downright depressing. We've moved to the far edges of civilization. We're putting together a small farm operation. We refuse to buy things we don't need.
There's a popular meme out there that everybody is brain dead, or that nobody is even aware of the constant scandals. Granted, we choose not to see lots of people. You know what though? The people we do run into DO care. They know all about the constant scandals. They also know the chances of changing things for the better are slim and none even if you make it your life's mission. So instead of being wound up all the time, just block it out. It just saps energy that is better spent elsewhere. Try to change only the things you can change. Do unto others as they'd do unto you. That's it. Ok, I'm off my soapbox now but I know exactly how you feel...you're not alone by a long shot. Hopefully the despicable predators out there will get what's coming to them. If so, chances are they'll do it to themselves.

In my opinion we need to carefully differentiate between the Two Tapers....there is the potential, Virtual Taper which Ben espouses and then there is the True Taper which is just not going to happen.
If the Feds try a bit of True Taper, the resulting market reaction will drive them back to espousing the Virtual Taper....one that is discussed in theory, but never practiced.Ben is counting on a never ending series of luncheon talks at $400,000 a pop put on by the Wall Street firms to ease his retirement.Should he actually crash the Street, he can forget lunch...or as Milton said, "There is no free lunch."
So, I would put this talk of a Virtula Taper in the same probability basket as having reduced health insurance costs under Obummer Kare.

The Volcker Rule which forces Banks to divest of overvalued reservere assets, along with rising Interest Rates because of the lack of Capital to absorb US Treasuries, along with the Federal Reserve Taper of the purchases of both of these subprime aset classes just serves to ensure that 2014 is going to be a very bad Recession Tear.
As a result the new Housing Starts will Taper, construction workers will be laid off, and Unemployment will soar.
They could not have planned these convergences better. They are in the process of intentionally popping the Bubble.

Scientists believe it evolved in the era of mega fauna and flora in prehistoric north american. the idea is that the tree produced a fruit with a large seed that would be swallowed whole.
