okay, before i strike a blow against good judgement and climb into the ole 96' roadmaster (aka lucifer) for to hazard some xmas shopping and the inevitable chatter incumbent of intercourse with the zombie-bots all madly scrambling for this year's most enviable cabbage-patch-kid, i'll tell a true story of heroism...janus-style.
it all started like this:
i gave janet yellen a good once-over; and then i did it again...you see, the first scrutinization yielded some unfavorable conclusions for this bent-over and blanched out nevah-been-a-beauty-queen of a fed chair'man' (i tried to tell you we weren't gonna go easy on you, madam chairman...a pox on all fiateers!). so, gracious and deferential as i am, i gave her a 2nd chance...wanted to see if a more generous appraisal would find some favor in her...nothing of the sort. all rot and ruin -- stem to stern -- in her every mien and mode. i find her wanting; scales slamming hard down against her.
but in what is she so wanting? janus thinks it a bit of the xmas spirit.
and so the ghost of christmas past arrives on the scene just in time (that'd be janus)...and at the same exact time the 'donate your car tow truck driver' pulls into the yellen drive-way
janus: yessir, this is the one.
tow-truck-driver: you sure you wanna donate this car, sir?
janus: oh-sure...i live to give. you can tell just by looking at me.
tow-truck-driver: well, it's just that folks usually donate cars they don't want anymore.
janus: i'm just a better kind of person...it's hard to blame or praise me -- just sorta comes naturally.
tow-truck-driver: garsh, it is something; i'll say that much...some poor family is gonna be so happy.
janus: of course they will. that's what this season is all about....oh, by the way, send over another truck to fetch that prius over there. i drive it whenever i want to preen about like some sanctimonious ass pimping a new religion of gaia or some-such other mother-earth balderdash. i think i'll start riding a fuckin bike soon. just to prove how much more others should be like me...then i'll have you come and tow that two-wheeler off next year -- that'll show em! mmmmmwahahahahaha!

Unfortunately, I still can;t even view the art . I'm Windows 7 with any of IE11, Firefox or Chrome same problem, It seems to be an SSL issue. I never had any problem before Flickr. I miss the laughs!!
Please be patient. Apparently, Flickr is getting lots of complaints.
For sure, I really appreciate your work and am just sad to miss it. Especially the "Christmas Hotties". It would seem (I don't know because I can't see anything!!).
I used to use Flickr but, after a long period away, when I went back, I could never even figure out how to use it so I now use Dropbox to share files. I found Dropbox to be so much easier and intuitive to use. I know they don't serve exactly the same purposes but if Flickr can't make itself understandable to a relatively tech savvy user such as myself, I have to wonder, The problem I had with Flickr was that it seems to be entirely synched with facebook, which I don't use for security reasons. Perhaps their SSL issues are also related to Flickr/Facebook/NSA registration?

Yes that downloads but quite slowly. At least it downloads. As I understand it, the Flickr link you provided is http and NOT https, so it continues to appear to be a problem with SSL. The STATIC links (http), as in your later post with a Christmas message from Hawaii, also work just fine.
Yeah...I get the download from Flickr. The delay is also present at that site but much less time.
But it does take about 2 Minutes to download the ZH Page.
I will wait as the wait is worth it. But some may not.

Firefox 12 (with the old Adblock Plus) on 300K DSL loads everything, but it took a good 2 minutes.
Guess I'm not the only one after all (missed a couple comments below).
