Thank you to Tylers and William Banzai, thank you for cutting through the shit! Thank you for breathing life into a dead, egotistical field such as structured finance, thank you for weaving some human condition art and truth into it, thank you for not thinking like sheep, thank you for being a voice of informed dissent... thank you for putting up with my drunken rants, thank you for upholding freedom of speech and dissemination of ideas,
Thank you for understanding that humans will do unimaginable things if the incentive package is tailored well enough, but that does not make it excuseable, just uneducated.
2014 will be another fantastic banner year for Wall Street and the American people. The recovery will be felt everywhere and the lame will start to walk, the blind will see and the sick will be healed. There will be work for all and nobody will go hungry or without a roof over their head. The future is so bright, we all have to wear shades.
The year of all years. Keep telling yourself this and it shall come to pass!

"And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat upon it is called Schiff: And a bow of silver; and a crown of gold was given unto him. And he thus spake: By these signs I shall go forth, conquering and to conquer."
If the entire financial system is founded upon a debt based currency, then an expectation of an "incredible profitable period" or "exhuberance" should, in theory, preceed a breakdown or collapse of said system. This is based on the ideal that those who control the system would in fact know, with some precision, when the system is "overloaded" with debt and is unsustainable. The attempt to prolong it, for as long as possible, allows for the exploitation of the system by those knowledgable for one last attempt to reap profit from the system they know will soon collapse.
This didn't start in 2001, or 2008. It started in the late 1980's with Alan Greenspan. The end of the road is nigh.
It started in the U.S. in 1913. This end was inevitable. Debt-based currency combined with fractional reserve banking could have no other ultimate conclusion.
Here is an awesome interview ol Dave Hodges did with Mr. Jim Garrow. It is revealing, and riveting. Take a listen here and check out some of Dave's articles. They are very informative, and very powerful.:
WB...thanks for all your great work over the years .... the current topic brings to mind Pale Horse, Pale Rider, a collection of three novellas by Katherine Anne Porter, published in 1939. As we know more folks died from the Spanish flu than did in WWI.....it was a true balck swan event.
Biological risk is something I have had to worry about on and off the entire time I have been out here, beginning with the SARS outbreak which literally was one of the most frightening ordeals I have ever experienced. On that topic, I recommend Karl Taro Greenfeld's book.
Think of the banksters and stawk boys as the Klingons From Uranus.
Soon, to be wiped out by an onslaught of paper guided by the Unseeing Hand.
Happy new year, William, and all the other reasonably aware bitchez out there.
Silver, gold, brass, copper, lead, powder, land, and community. Bullish commodities to invest in - in 2014 - 40th anniversary of George Orwell's Year Of The Beast, 1984.
Kinda makes you pine away for the good 'ole days, don't it ?
when the market goes off the media script, moar moar moar, they'll just bring in the emergency Super Bowl crew. Scorebusters! Score getting out of hand? Wrong team winning? Viewers turning off? Just turn off the lights, and reset the scoreboard! they're already discussing what to do if the weather is bad at the Meadowlands, will they have the game a day early, or a day later? its all entertainment, (is Maria really a Kardashian? has she ever had a affair with a black man?). is Janet Yellen Moar Moar when her husband makes love to her. stay tuned. the Grim Reaper or the Agony of Defeat?
What Bernanke sowed, we will reap in 2014. A good New Year to WB7 and all those that heed him here at ZH. It is not survival of the temporary fittest, it's survival of the adaptable, the prepared and the wise.
WB7 - Awesome as always. I laughed out loud over the Debt Ponzi Event Horizon. You made my morning.
The first image made me nostalgic. I wish there was that kind of activity on Wall Street today. Every day I walk by that statue and the NYSE and all I see are Chinese tourists taking pictures of themselves with either that statue or the NYSE in the background. There are iron fences around the exchange as though this once venerable institution actually matters anymore and that a threat to the NYSE would be anything but laughable (or a deluded false flag). I actually think that the barricades and fencing is a land grab by the owners of the exchange and a big "Fuck You" to the people of NYC who are inconvenienced. I spoke to a floor trader recently who said that there is no future for the young guys and that even the Squid is down to less than five personnel. The HFT algos have taken over and the building is but a show piece now. The grim reaper has truly descended.
Phase I was all the investment bankers moving midtown and Phase II was the shift to HFT. Now the only thing going on there is Chinese tourists doing selfies under the Bull's balls.
One day the NYSE will be a high end Chinese restaurant: Mr Dow's
The NYSE today is a museum. They merely have a flor presence to allow TeeVee cameras in to shoot false action and give interviews to News people. Most days after the Close, the NYSE floor is rented out to companies for customer parties or promos. One can go right up to the podium to the auld NYSE "bell" and hit it with the hammer while getting photographed from the house photographer.
There is just a skeleton workforce on the NYSE floor every day.
One day, the prepetuation of the illusion that that finance is still centered around the NYSE and Wall Street, will be looked upon as a metaphor for the current Age of Smoke and Mirrors.
As I said during OWS, the battle was over a symbol.
more like PF Changs, which went private because the franchise couldn't cut it. it's what was once called the Peter Principle, a man (or woman) gets promoted to the level of their own incompetence. it worked for George Bush and Jim Cramer, and it works for most of Wall Street.
I hear the Bernanke version of “Dancing Madly Backwards” is called “Kicking The Can Forward”, and sounds like “Dancing Madly Backwards played backwards.

Thanks for the laughs, hard to find this past year, WB.
Happy New year to all here. Keep it real, we will come out the other side.
WB7: you, Sir, are truly brilliant. It ia an honor to view your work. Some day I hope to meet you in person.
Wb7, do you have a high quality print of this? Very interested here.
Also, the reaper could be carrying in his left hand the head of bernanke and Greenspan.

That's how old Joe Kennedy made money. He and his buddies got out of stawks and probably shorted them right before 1929 crash.
Never lacking in chutzpah, he had FDR appoint him to find out what went wrong a while later.
What a guy!
It started in the U.S. in 1913. This end was inevitable. Debt-based currency combined with fractional reserve banking could have no other ultimate conclusion.
The true ending as i described above started in the late 1980s. The system itself was started in 1913.
Howdy Hey Folks.
Happy New to ALL!

I don't know what to make of the Hodges guy.
It's always Doom Porn.
He claims there are thousands of Russian troops in the US right now, which I find difficult to believe for a number of common-sense reasons.
He is spot on about dotguv corruption, though.
That is the Obozo marketing team pushing the Red Dawn meme through the alt media.
How apropo for the New Year. The old style, the new style, by the Wild Child!
Relentlessly awesome!
I have done several images of the Grim Market Reaper. This one is my definitive work. The others are junk compared to this.
Gustave Dor's Reaper bringing dread, fear and panic to The Street, what a wicked combination.
It's a significant piece of work Billy B. . Congrats.
Mr. Banz, year in, year out. you're the man!
You said it brother.
2014.
Can I quote you on that?
Only if you include a link to my blog.

I like the imagery. Any way to modernize the scene for 2014 (i.e., clothing, cars) and put a few familiar bankster faces in those clothes?
Think of the banksters and stawk boys as the Klingons From Uranus.

fun fact: the old JPMorgue HQ across the street is owned by a Chinese oil company.
not a bad place from which to co-locate a couple of HFT servers :)

And now Crocks is about to learn another principle: It's the feet stupid!
