It is difficult for him, particularly this time of year, but he is plugging along. Putting aside the emotional toll, there is also the added burden of losing the daily support routine of your life partner. Having to relearn how to cook a decent meal, monitor health etc. When two people watch over each other for so many years, it leaves a huge void to fill.
I am on video chat with him every day. This weekend we went over all the WWI analogies flying around the MSM and last night we were laughing at Perkins yacht. Show that picture to anyone who knows sailing yachts and it sums the situation up on a dime. His watch may not be a big gold Rolex, but his yacht sure is.
