Saaay...aren't all these animal logo's (with their angry eyes & bared fangs) just portraying animals as violent predators? Its objectifying and almost razzzist, on a species scale. Where's PETA when we need them!?!?
Congress should form another committee & look into this immediately!
Maybe they could centrally plan & mandate some nice fluttering butterflies or wispy clouds ;-)
my best suggestion to the Redskins problem is to rename the team the Washington Pigskin, drop the 's' and that makes it more like a soccer team name, and alludes to certain political realities. they used to call their offensive line the Hogs. now that Colorado has legalized pot Obama may change his birth certificate again, might help him explain away his youthful indulgence. if i learned that he snorted coke with W bush in the WH during the 80s i would not be surprised.
Well, if I were a full blooded American Indian, I wouldn't want my lineage associated with anything in Vichy DC either, what with its long list of broken treaties with them and promoting of its generals through its media into national heroes who ordered their nations & villages burned down and their people butchered.
But hey, its just fun for me to watch the inane, juvenile hypocrisy of it all, where the terminally afflicted & offended "progressive" PC crowd can work themselves into an absolute froth about the Redskin name, while humming Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA.
"I got in a little hometown jam And so they put a rifle in my hands Sent me off to Vietnam To go and kill the yellow man"

(In reference to the Washington Redskins Football Team)
Since you brought that up I am offended. (NOT..but for s & g)
I am an Irishman. German Irish.
And they name the Notre Dame team the "Fighting Irish"? That is just so stereotypical.
What!?! They think that all Irishmen are BRAWLERS and Drunks? They think that we all fight?
But it gets even worse. The mascot is a God Damned Leprechaun. That is a God Damned Irish FAIRY. So the Irishmen are all supposed to be Homosexual Bar Brawlers???
But does the President think that is offensive??? No.
It just seems to me that the President has the racist attitude that if the Name and Mascot of a Team is NOT WHITE then it is OFFENSIVE.
But if it is white then it is okay.
That sounds like a Skinhead attitude to me.
He is not complaining about the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with the Fairy Mascot.
Born in the USA is a favorite song of mine because of the political cognitive dissonance it pulls off.
I enjoy how the song disses the so-called US exceptionalism while getting idiots that believe in same to experience it as if it were an anthem to the US's "exceptionalism ." Pure genius, if you ask me.
I remember being a young and still naive teenager and realizing that the song's anthem qualities were not backed up by the lyrics. Was one of those eye opening things that further showed me that I needed to pay attention and question everything.
Note: I am discussing the dissonance of the popular and hit song, not promoting the song or Springsteen.
I wanted to return to this thing on "American exceptionalism" and share my view of it, as an American, which is not the same as a subject of Vichy DC...lol.
The state of the human experience, for centuries, under all types of governments, dictators & shamans has been one of servitude to them, to the government, to a king, to a chief. This was the first attempt (however imperfect at the formation) to say the king (and his court) is subject to the very same laws as the serf, the dishwasher, the CEO.
There is nothing "exceptional" about government giving someone "in a little hometown jam" the choice of killing the governments enemies, in order to escape the verdict of being on the wrong side of its laws & regulations...thats been going on for centuries too.
I'll leave it at this: War is your government telling you who you're enemy is. Revolution is when you figure it out for yourself.
okay, I see...you grabbed the Broncos logo off that pic and they had squeezed the San Diego Chargers lightning bolt logo just above the bronco so they kinda look like they go together. But they're actually 2 different logos.
I had to step out for a few hours and I come back and just saw that you corrected the logo...hope I didn't offend earlier when I mentioned it...it was meant to be a friendly, honest observation :)

Miles, always wanted to say, thank you for turning me on to that snake Cass Sunstein.
Time to gird our loins (and strap on our snake chaps) into the pit we go ;-)
You're welcome .. and thank you .. some fine nugs you've passed my way.
A beautiful thing about the pit right now is that it's still bassline spot testing 5:2 like a champ ;-)
Must I watch the SuperBowl for the ads or can I just go on with life?
Oh man ya gotta watch it at least for the new Cheerios ad, now that MSNBC pulled its dick out of the cereal bowl and promised to never do it again.
At least they apologized, again, for race baiting...

Why offend? Tnx for pointing it out.
Notice I did relay the leaf and logo under the smoke. No short cuts. ;-)
You got it right with the pot leaf.
Coloradans express freedom even if its not legal yet. Prohibition comes here to die.
Soon, we'll make Nevada blush once voters are allowed to weigh in on the age old partnership of sex and money...
Too bad its such an ugly place to live.

Oh the huge manatee!
Extra Christie!
This is what happens when you "take the cannolis"...
I am just tuning in for the turbo tax adverts.
Starting right now... I'm lactos-intolerant.
