"More than four years after federal agents first raided the Gibson Guitar factory in Nashville, the company is striking back with a new guitar featuring wood seized during those government raids.
The new Government Series II Les Paul guitar – produced in “government tan” color – features actual rosewood that was seized by the federal government during two raids in Nashville."
Some of you may recall my posts regarding this matter. Why is it so easy to harass a productive guitar company and not a parasitic racketeering TBTF bank.
WB7: If they ask: Can he play it? The answer is yes!

Turn for the Worst - The Bottle Rockets

nice and thanks, i love this song and it reminds me of
this question i have always had in the back of my mind.
why would people listen to the "blues" voluntarily and enjoy it?
here i speculate that there is a reason and it is because their/our
normal state of mind is even worse and less coherent than them blues,
there is a sweetness there.
that is, the culture that loves the blues is alienated by
itself and finds refuge there, in the blues, "my old friend, the blues",
steve earl.
and more.
here, the same tune from the record.

.
the vocal is clearer.
.
the thing is the voice of the people is, basically, law. all the voluntary
compliance that makes bullshit law appear to be law is nothing compared
to the voice of the people and refusal by the people to comply and
or demands of the people to act! of course the people must have providence
and principle at their side or behind them or they are doomed.
.
thanks again and best to ya!

Iris is awesome. Here she is with Emmylou doing "Our Town".

The Blues? I'm not sure but sometimes it gets me rowdy! Since I started teaching myself to play guitar I've got a new appreciation for musicians. Never mind the contortions with the hands (damned Barre chords lol) what goes on in the brain is incredible. I sat down with a buddy a while ago; he was playing his old Ibanez 12 string and singing. I had my strat going and man, it's not easy staying focused. Some day I'll get a new guitar but I've got to have the Bigsby vibrato. So far I can't get the growl out of the strat (P90 pickups) that Neil get's out of "Old Black".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB5bGDPJakE - Down By The River Live (pretty easy to play actually)
Favorite Guitarist? Frank Zappa of course! (Nearly impossible to play...for me)

:-o Hey now, guitar threads might be almost as fun as gold threads on ye olde ZH ...
There are many musicians on this site.
Will, are you going to have a little fun and offer custom color options .. like the venerable seafoam green?

"hxxx shit man, I got to get me one of those!"
This is what I said. But then I saw that they are just plain tan. Wtfo??
I want one with all the graffiti.
I likethis one better than the tan model as well. This is more nefarious looking.
I'd buy that but, " They did'nt build that "...
"Why is it so easy to harass a productive guitar company and not a parasitic racketeering TBTF bank."
The owner of Gibson is a member of the tribe so any special priviledges tribe membership may have afforded him can be ruled out. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Nashville has a towering bright shiny chrome statue of Nathan Beford prominently displayed near its city center. That, and the fact that Henry J apparently has trouble telling the truth.
"this guitar kills fascists" - woody
did they make an acoustic model?
rosewood resonates so wonderfully
Needs an old school Bigsby bar for FED's 'truth-bending' in regards to the 'reasons' for the confiscations.
Are those custom wound 'bumfucker' PU's?
BTW:
Nice touch with the 'Wish You Were Here' dirty deal handshake.
Kind of sums the story up.
Bumfucker PUs. LOL
Taser Machine Heads and a GW Bridge.
WB - Does the Illuminti knob dial up more darkness or send signals to the Fed to print moar.
did dylan really do a chrysler commercial
for the super toke? or did i dream that?

we make your car damn it?) .
new / old global orders coming in /thru.
anyway, it was probably a clone or
a robot
Right on, the beacon of the free world was playing loud on all commercials. Must have felt a need for reinforcement.
that is a nice package there wb7.
seems like gibson made the perfect
template for an artist to some
visual and sonic combat.
.
we the sheeple signature
seizure model, well done!
I couldn't get anyone interested in my "Krugman" electric guitar. No matter how you fingered it, it would only produce one note at max volume.
Krugman's amplifier does not go to 11 because that is clearly not high enough, although he won't say how high is high enough, so the knob (on the amp not Krugman) just has an infinity symbol.
Krugman's amp goes loud enough to break windows.
Or the knob never stops twisting, until the speaker blows.
From your statement in the Les Paul comment, I thought you were going to do an eagle with a drone in its talons.
I almost put a drone on this one but decided there should be a separate drone the Fed model
Love how you've accessorized it! ;-)
The difference between "OK that's yet another nice Les Paul" and "holy shit man, I got to get me one of those!"

In fact, if there is a luthier in the audience who wants to collaborate, please raise your hand.
Hobby shops have transfer decal inkjet printable paper. Print them, spray with clear coat, water transfer. The only troublesome part is scaling the image so it prints as you intend. The eyes on the pearl inlays would have to be etched then darkened with a special preparation (to be durable). You'd then clear coat the entire body but not the fretboard.
Dr. Banzai there are decal makers on ebay. There are people who make special cut vinyl transfer stick ons.
A whole set of stickers with your images would go viral like Andre the Giant... they'd certainly end up on thousands of guitars.
They can do evil eye fret markers. I have dice markers on my Gibsoin/Epi Flame Kat.
Ha... I knewed you was a player. sonic iconoclast, visual iconoclast... same thing.
+1 for the stickers idea
been sayin that for years
But you have to put a finish over the decals in order for it to look right.
Sounds like a Banksy.
After I did this I thought to myself, man this would be very very hard to walk past in an instrument store. I know there are people out there who could do a first class job with this.
"If they ask"... I hope they do as you are likely to draw many views to their site. However, the fact that they did not adorn with any dissent suggests they are laying low.
Nice design though and you are correct, many (ie Megadeath) would not pass this by without adding it to the stable.
wb7... I have a buddy in LA LA Land that is a player and a collector... just gave him a heads up over the phone. He's a big fan of your work, however I don't know if he is a lurker or has posting account. He may call me later when he sees this. I know he has a Les Paul or two laying around. Maybe it works out.
Best to have this done after market to an existing instrument... you wouldn't be able to explain this to Henry J. He wouldn't "get it"
Wait, he's named after a car?
It's a great theme for a guitar.
You are right, he probably would not get it.
But they have the story to go with it. Why not do something that really nails it.
these guys would probably buy one:
