Jim Willie and "V" know what's up...find their latest interviews and listen/read them over the last month or 2. Interpol is getting very close to busting this wide open...
That is a problem with the snowden (fraud). Regular guys think if a guy on a streetcorner in hong kong can get global media attention as he points a finger, that the media is actually free and ready and willing and able to report it. So they report (confess, agree to talk) to interpol, or whomever, not knowing those agencies are owned, from day 1. Dont fight the darkness. It is having its day, and you are not the savior.
first we had the teflon president (reagan) now we have the suede president. (was clinton the astroturf president?) pretty soon we'll have the chia pet presidency, just water it and it grows
I don't suspect our Lord would use such descriptive language as that, BUT he is currently reining in four horses that are about to make a mad dash right across Wall Street all the way to Hollywood and beyond. On the day Bieber and Cyrus conceive seed the jig is up!
William, I am a big fan of your work becasue until now you seem to have gotten the joke. I am questioning, however, if you have ever worked in the biz. If you had you would know that 99% of the people in finance are worker bees who have been scapegoated by this debacle. They are junior members of trading teams (like this morning's JPMHK jumper) or they work in technology, or legal, or the backoffice, or whatever. They all are reasonably bright, generally well educated, hard working people. There are a percentage of outrageous douche bags in the mix but they are in the minority. Regardless, when the globe's politicians, regulators, and CBs went looking for scapegoats, you know who they found? That 99%. And in exchange for doing things vital for the world's economy's that 99% has seen their bonuses sucked into 'deffered comp' blackholes, seen their pay packages slashed, seen their career mobility/security slashed to zero. And those are the 'lucky' ones who are still working. The 1% (where you'd find the criminal types) are laughing their collective asses off. Becasue they got paid before it all went wrong and are now on a beach somewhere. Meanwhile, the newly minted 99% slaves have been squeezed so hard they are now jumping off of buildings. None of us are happy about the way this mess happened, nor at the way it has been perpetuated. But celebrating everytime some poor functionary, from some abused corner of the business, jumps is off target. They are not the peope we should be mad at.
And there are some very nice people working as guards in North Korean prison camps. We shouldn't blame them for what they do and what they facilitate. It's not their fault...
same to you as i gave 'tall tom' above. plus, there is a shitload of difference bewteen a NK camp gaurd and a kid who writes code for your ATM, or runs an ETF book to make SPY easy and cheap, or writes honest content to guide people through this mess. these are the things they are 'facilitating for you, you ungrateful twat.
None of us are happy about the way this mess happened, nor at the way it has been perpetuated. But celebrating everytime some poor functionary, from some abused corner of the business, jumps is off target. They are not the peope we should be mad at.
Mais non! you misunderstand...we're not mad at the ones who jump. We're mad at the ones who did not.
You seem like a nice guy, trying to be reasonable and sensible. But being reasonable is like spending money. It has to be real money, and it has to belong to you in order to spend it.
It's not your currency to spend. It's mine.
Have you ever known someone whose life was ruined by the IRS?
Are you clear on the fact that the "banking industry" and the IRS are complements of one another?
Don't go being all reasonable and sensible because believe me, kiddo, you have no skin in this game.
William, I am a big fan of your work becasue until now you seem to have gotten the joke.
It is a joke???
I am questioning, however, if you have ever worked in the biz.
Does that make any difference. One can see the problem and it is called COMPLICITY. One does not have to work in the Business to see that. You provide Material SUPPORT and SUPPORT THAT SYSTEM BECAUSE YOU GET A PAYCHECK. You have sold yourself to the Devil...rather cheaply.
If you had you would know that 99% of the people in finance are worker bees who have been scapegoated by this debacle. They are junior members of trading teams (like this morning's JPMHK jumper) or they work in technology, or legal, or the backoffice, or whatever.
That is a SUPPORTING ROLE. You can justify it by writing that, "...someone else will do it", that you "...need a job", or, a myraid of other justifications but YOU SUPPORT IT.
They all are reasonably bright, generally well educated, hard working people.
That is NOT a mitigating factor but one that aggravates the crime of COMPLICITY in that they know better if they are reasonably intelligent. Now stupidity might be mitigating as some may be useful tools to be discarded when timely.
There are a percentage of outrageous douche bags in the mix but they are in the minority.
Do you work for the douchebags? Do you sell out and do their bidding?
Regardless, when the globe's politicians, regulators, and CBs went looking for scapegoats, you know who they found? That 99%.
If they were clean, above the board, ethical, and honest then it would not have happened to them. The Nuremberg Defense, "I was just following orders." just is not a valid defense. Many Nazi Germans were Hanged by the Neck or Shot by Firing Squad for utterances of that.
And in exchange for doing things vital for the world's economy's that 99% has seen their bonuses sucked into 'deffered comp' blackholes, seen their pay packages slashed, seen their career mobility/security slashed to zero. And those are the 'lucky' ones who are still working.
I am laughing my ass off. Vital??? Vital for the World's Economy??? Are you out of your rabid ass mind??? Wall Street has done everything that is vital to take care of Wall Street....NOT THE WORLD'S ECONOMY.
How was packaging up those sub prime mortgages vital for the World's Economy? How about HFT??? How is that vital for the World's Economy? Or...How about the worst offense? You know? The $700 Trillion Derivatives Bubble that you guys have leveraged to the hilt? How vital is it to keep that fraud going?
Everything that any of you guys have helped you bosses do has been DETRIMENTAL to the World's Economy.
Then you whine about getting ripped off? If I was working for someone else and I was not paid that which was agreed to, then I would tender my resignation at once. There is no renegotiation when the work has been completed. If you are under a contract for a salary and compensation and the party defauts then there is no contract or obligation to continue.
The 1% (where you'd find the criminal types) are laughing their collective asses off. Becasue they got paid before it all went wrong and are now on a beach somewhere.
Jaime Dimon is still running Citibank. They were going to have Corzine run the FTC??? These people are not on a beach somewhere sipping Pina Coladas. You are still working for them.
Meanwhile, the newly minted 99% slaves have been squeezed so hard they are now jumping off of buildings.
Am I to feel sorry about that??? Are there OTHER ALTERNATIVES??? Can they work elsewhere for HONEST MONEY???
But since you brought this "Sympathy Angle" up...
How about the people whom are killing themselves because their Homes were foreclosed?
How about the suicides of Main Street Companies whom have lost EVERYTHING?
How many people have offed themselves because they cannot provide for their families?
How about the elevated suicide rates of War Veterans that are fucked up coming home from wars that Wall Street made huge profits upon?
That is so damned Self Centered and Narcissistic that it gives me an actual urge to VOMIT MY GUTS OUT.
None of us are happy about the way this mess happened, nor at the way it has been perpetuated.
You were really happy about it when you were getting your fat bonuses, weren't you?
But celebrating everytime some poor functionary, from some abused corner of the business, jumps is off target.
First WilliamBanzai7's first picture has Jaime Dimon on the ledge. That is not some "Low Level functionary".
But setting that REALITY ASIDE...The Low Level functionaries are those whom ENABLED THESE THIEVES to STEAL EVERYTHING WHICH AMERICA HAD.
They are not the people we should be mad at.
No? Really? Guess what? The Low Level Functionaries ENABLED IT and were COMPLICIT. They sold out for a petty sum when compared to that of the High Level Criminals. It is so sad that they think small.
i get the feeling you are one of the tinfoil-hat-wearing-i-hate-jooooooos-as-much-as-i-love-gold idtiots who have flocked to ZH. stop being an asshole for a second and consider a similar overlay on any other troubled industry (and, being fairly expert on a lot of them, i can assure you they are all troubled at some level at this point). for instance, would you be happy if america woke up tomorrow and--shock--figured out that one of our biggest problems is our broken lower-ed industry, and, said realization led to public angst and repercutions large enough to send a string of 30-yr-old kindergarten teachers off the ledge? or what if america realized that one of the reasons we are broke and priting $100b's/yr is our healthcare industry being a bloated intermediation machine which costs twice as much GDP share as any other developed market? would you be happy if the hue and cry from that realization had 30-yr-old nurse's aides queued up at the edge? the point remains we are off fucking target when 30-yr-old kids from IT and junior trading roles (who probably started their careers in what? 2006? 2007? well after this mess was built by others and have spent their ENTIRE fucking careers cleaning it up for damned-near free) are the people killing themselves. if i dragged one of those kids to you, pressed a gun into your hand, and then forced your gun hand against that kid's head would you pull the trigger? i would hope to fuck the answer is no. but, everytime you fucktards throw a party over one of these kids killing themselves it is like you had a part in their demise. is that what we have become as a nation?
TBTF banksterism is not a broken industry. It is a highly successful criminal racketeering enterprise. And how do we measure success? Why don't we start with rampant and fantastically lucrative fraud that obviously permeates every nook and cranny of the business. Fraud that apparently has no down side, criminal, civil or financial. We all know why of course.
Comparing it to the education system and the healthcare system is a hilariously feeble attempt at misdirection.
I am sure it must be a miserable stressful thing for America's brightest (sarc) to suddenly realise that their dream jobs are held at lower esteem than used car salesmen and rug dealers. It is a sham(e) they were lead down that path. But they are adults, presumably with capable brains and hopefully with some form of consience. Time for them to see the light. As long as there is a parade of bright young highly educated drones to dutifully do all the dirty scutwork for their crooked masters/mentors/role models and to fall on the sword when called upon, nothing will ever change.
Time to do the right thing and move on. Those who decide to stay in the heat of the TBTF Ponzi kitchen can count on an absolute dearth of collective sympathy for the misery of their plight.
I have a polite suggestion for you as well. If you want to ridicule folks for being:"tinfoil-hat-wearing-i-hate-jooooooos-as-much-as-i-love-gold idtiots who have flocked to ZH," you would be well served to first clean up the horrendous state of your prose.
i always imagined a New Yorker cartoon, two guys walking down a street in New York, look up and there's this man crashing out of an upper floor window, suspended in space. the one man looks at the other and says "What's that Jim Cramer up to now?"
Clearly the pic also shows Mr. Douche Bag Dimon on the ledge...not some poor schmuck from the lower levels. I'm sure WB7 isn't implying that 100% of anyone in banking, finance, or whatever throw themselves off buildings, so lighten up just a tad, will ya?
And I doubt any of us sick fuckers would shed one single crocodile tear to see Jamie splattered on the street at the bottom of the JPM/China building in Manhattan. Whether of his own volition or "pursueded" by nefarious shadowy folks, it would still be a deserving end to his tenure. Same for the rest of the 1%'ers.
Unfortunately, it seems the lower end "good guys" who may still have a conscience and cared about thier families enough to whistleblow on what's going on in the FX biz at JPM and others, seem to be getting "offed" before they can testify.
The Chinese fellow probably didn't even want to jump...he was probably forced into it by them threatening to kill the rest of this family if he didn't suicide himself.
What amazes me is Connaught Road closed for two hours. HKG Central perhaps the least roomy place I have ever been. WB you are in Kowloon last I recall, what was that traffic jam like or did you (wisely) stay on the other side?
Let's go for drinks next time. Any good spots in Kowloon?
In Hong Kong a fender bender will shut a road down for an hour. At that particular location, which is very busy, the highway is also underground so I imagine they were able to divert most of the traffic.
In Hong Kong a fender bender will shut a road down for an hour.
Well then, I sincerely hope that the Chinese in Hong Kong drive better than most Chinese in North America, otherwise I would imagine that Hong Kong is more or less one permanent traffic jam.
I know it's a stereotype, and probably would be considered racist by the thin-skinned PC types, but what IS it with Orientals and bad driving so frequently going hand-in-hand? I see the same thing over and over on the streets and roads in Anchorage as well --- I will pull past a conspicuously bad and/or clueless driver only to find, more often than not, that they are Oriental (and more often than not as well, a woman).
That's funny, William --- around here (and elsewhere I've lived in the USA), it is exactly the opposite; most accidents involve personal vehicles (and are increasingly single-vehicle accidents, an obvious sign of declining driver ability and/or judgement), NOT buses, trucks and taxis.
The mini-buses, trucks and taxis are commercially motivated to drive fast.
As for ordinary motorists, no one wants to risk losing their license because cars are a huge status symbol here. So for the most part, they drive very slow. This is my assessment.
On the other hand, if you go and drive on highways in the PRC, be prepared for sheer madness and danger.
You know what. The bottom, bottom line is it's not not a fucking joke for us all to laugh at. If it was simply a fucking joke I would not be wasting my time.
I have many friends who are in and out the business. And believe it or not, they are patting me on the back and egging me on. "Wall Street" has become one big shit hole (or cesspit as the English say) and I challenge you or anyone else to try to explain otherwise.
Or perhaps it was always a big shit hole and it took me a while to realise it. I am pleased to report that in all my years in finance I never once got involved in any of the bullshit we now see unraveling before our disbelieving eyes. Every corner of the big bracket banking business is severely polluted.
Some poor kid jumped today. I feel badly for him. But I also feel very very badly for all the other countless suffering sheep who have been forced to take their own lives or suffer financial ruin as a result of the economic wasteland brought to us by the scumbags and thieves running the show.
I speak for them as well.
As for all the miserables, or functionaries as you call them, who are suffering as you say, working under the tyranny of pinstriped swinders in bespoke Sayville Row threads and John Lobb shoes, they need to go and take a long look in a mirror.
It is never, never too late.
To this WilliamBanzai7 will attest.
Finally, I think we all know who the real "fuckers" are. The sooner they jump the better.
the instiutitons that feed profits upstream based on trapping entire societies , including our own---in massive piles of debt, and hope to keep this debt as a anchor , a yoke , around the necks of the public are those SAME
very institutions who depend on armies of 'internal' woker bees to function. the more agitatoin of the worker finance bees in the nest, the closer the whole thing comes to crumbling down.
internal strife is required for these institutions to lose their self assuredness and swagger. the mobs will circle, and surely enough the whole thing will burst apart at the seems.
the worker bees might not be 'bad people' but they help keep the system intact from the inside, so that the system can funnel profits towards those people who are against personal discharge of ALL unsecured debts in bankruptcy court for individuals, they are against forced liquidations and recievership of the entire too-big-too fail ring of banks that own the printing press ( the fed ) .
these workers might deserve sympathy and emotional empathy, but if they all died , killed themselves or just burned down their own buildings, ----the system would weaken. and this would help speed its demise.
these people, while perhaps not 'guilty' are very much GUILTY of following order. eveyrone follows orders. the nazis were just following orders when they committed genocide. a janitor is just following orders when he cleans the buildings in which unsustainable debts are created and perpetuated for the benefit of a select few powerful creditor families that own and benefit from the tbtf system.
so please----dont' give sympathy, it's a sign not so much of weakness, it is a sign of human strength. but sympathy is a sign of stupidity .
you only give destructive people and destructive instituions sympathy AFTER they've been destroyed. doing so before, is just supporting their destructiveness. it's stupid.
It's worse than that. They are a parasitic BORG. They are undefeatable. They have complete control. Only a total collapse "MAY" straighten this out IF the politicians in charge don't get their "WALL STREET tithings". Otherwise this will start again. The sad part is all those invested in private retirement accounts are going to lose it all. The BORG will not go down quietly and will steal whatever is in their posession. As we saw with MF Global - it's theirs and they know it!! Just like the great depression brought mistrust of banks, this will bring mistrust of MARKET and Wall st.
I now believe Jim Sinclair is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT when he says "GOTS". Get it all out now while you still have a chance.
fair enough. i am ceratinly not above some dark humor (lord knows i've dished out more than my fair share of it). it sounds like we have common backgrounds. i am also able to gaze into the mirror, but only because i spend my days trying to produce honest product/profits (even if it isn't propular in all cases). i am not alone in that regard. and it is those other honest people i feel are being abused--and now encouraged to jump--because there is a global culture of consequence shifting on this issue. and not just on wall st. i agree this is as much a main st issue. the people who were not at fault are being punished the most (be it by errant ideas of fair wall st pay, or being stuck at a bernanke zombie, or being raped on asset aquisition by mr yellen, or being stuck with the bill for any of the rest of the fallout). but i think we can agree to raise a glass to the real fuckers doing us all a favor. so, fight on william.
I am long nail guns and popcorn.
Waiting to see what unfolds out of these deaths.
WTF is coming to the surface here?
Jim Willie and "V" know what's up...find their latest interviews and listen/read them over the last month or 2. Interpol is getting very close to busting this wide open...
WE ARE SEEING BANKERS REMOVED WHO ARE ON THE VERGE OF REVEALING BIG DATA DETAILS

Subtle.
You have a nicely devious mind.

Ya never know...
Erwin Rommel suicided himself.
Got a big state funeral. Died a glorious death in combat - or so the perople were told.
The Fuhrer was pleased, although he appeared somber in public.
Anyone who has ever been in a live trading room or in a bar full of traders, knows that nothing is too sacred to be above humor.
Should we be surprised that it is very different when it strikes so close to home?
What amazes me is Connaught Road closed for two hours. HKG Central perhaps the least roomy place I have ever been. WB you are in Kowloon last I recall, what was that traffic jam like or did you (wisely) stay on the other side?
Let's go for drinks next time. Any good spots in Kowloon?
In Hong Kong a fender bender will shut a road down for an hour. At that particular location, which is very busy, the highway is also underground so I imagine they were able to divert most of the traffic.
Lots of good bars in Hong Kong ;-)
You should see "them" on ice. It's a real eye-opener.
There really isn't enough room for them to get into serious trouble here. Most of the accidents seem to involve fast buses, trucks and taxis.
They will stop in the middle of traffic for the most minor fender benders and then wait for the police to arrive.
That's funny, William --- around here (and elsewhere I've lived in the USA), it is exactly the opposite; most accidents involve personal vehicles (and are increasingly single-vehicle accidents, an obvious sign of declining driver ability and/or judgement), NOT buses, trucks and taxis.
akak
Wait...you're a cop?
The mini-buses, trucks and taxis are commercially motivated to drive fast.
As for ordinary motorists, no one wants to risk losing their license because cars are a huge status symbol here. So for the most part, they drive very slow. This is my assessment.
On the other hand, if you go and drive on highways in the PRC, be prepared for sheer madness and danger.
exactly...also known as "Gallows Humor"...we can all relate to that.

Just a few bad fucking apples indeed Mr Dimon.
you are hear being nice and defending yourself.
the instiutitons that feed profits upstream based on trapping entire societies , including our own---in massive piles of debt, and hope to keep this debt as a anchor , a yoke , around the necks of the public are those SAME
very institutions who depend on armies of 'internal' woker bees to function. the more agitatoin of the worker finance bees in the nest, the closer the whole thing comes to crumbling down.
internal strife is required for these institutions to lose their self assuredness and swagger. the mobs will circle, and surely enough the whole thing will burst apart at the seems.
the worker bees might not be 'bad people' but they help keep the system intact from the inside, so that the system can funnel profits towards those people who are against personal discharge of ALL unsecured debts in bankruptcy court for individuals, they are against forced liquidations and recievership of the entire too-big-too fail ring of banks that own the printing press ( the fed ) .
these workers might deserve sympathy and emotional empathy, but if they all died , killed themselves or just burned down their own buildings, ----the system would weaken. and this would help speed its demise.
these people, while perhaps not 'guilty' are very much GUILTY of following order. eveyrone follows orders. the nazis were just following orders when they committed genocide. a janitor is just following orders when he cleans the buildings in which unsustainable debts are created and perpetuated for the benefit of a select few powerful creditor families that own and benefit from the tbtf system.
so please----dont' give sympathy, it's a sign not so much of weakness, it is a sign of human strength. but sympathy is a sign of stupidity .
you only give destructive people and destructive instituions sympathy AFTER they've been destroyed. doing so before, is just supporting their destructiveness. it's stupid.
Dude! The sociopaths who make it to the top are not about to jump. Nothing gets in their way. Look at Corzine!!
MOAR DATA...........where is Mike Morgan, grandson of JP, ......they love those quantum supercomputers ya know.

Wall Street" has become one big shit hole
