WB,

In MY opinion the personification of Kerry should be done using 'Lurch' from the 1960's hit 'The Addams Family'. Al Gore, however, always reminded my of Herman Munster.

Delusions of Grandeur

This French historical comedy/farce, loosely based on Victor Hugo's play Ruy Blas, benefits greatly from having Louis De Funes and Yves Montand in the roles of Saluste and Blaze. Saluste is a nobleman who has been exiled from court and sent to collect taxes in the countryside. Blaze is his assistant, who manages to help the overtaxed peasants behind his boss's back

Pardon my ignorance, but I don't get this one: who are these guys?

Sat, 03/08/2014 - 02:41 | 4524383 scam_MERS

nmewn is incorrect. That is not Viktor Yanukovych.

The guy on the right is Petro Poroshenko, the billionaire owner of the Roshen (poROSHENko) Chocolate Company. He's a leading contender in the race for presidency, ahead of Klitchko and Tymoshenko (if he decides to run, which I'm not sure he has as of right now).

Petro Oleksiyovych Poroshenko (Born 26 September 1965) is a Ukrainian businessman and politician (former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Trade and Economic Development of Ukraine)[1] sometimes cited as one of the most influential people in Ukrainian politics.[

On the left is Klitschko former world heavyweight boxing champ and Ukraine party leader; in the middle is Hollande, French PM; I don't know the guy on the right either.

The one on the right (to the left of Hollande oddly enough...lol) seems to be Yanukovych, the ex-president of Ukraine with a pirate ship in his backyard and plundered gold hidden in the keel of his house.

Arrrrrrrg ;-)

I believe the media outrage was over the 'presidential palace'. Which means that the pirate ship and all the other trappings of the presidency were previously the playthings of Victor Yushchenko for 6 years, and are now being enjoyed by the current incumbent, and old Tymoshenko ally, Turchynov.

It might also be worth you demonstrating your ire at the crony wealth of billionaire former Prime Minister, Yulia Tymoshenko, "the gas princess".

Just sayin'....

And if you read down through the comments on the link provided and find mine made on Feb.22 10:17, you will see my opinion of people who use government for their own personal gain has not changed.

As far as the gas deal, I've already said elsewhere (to stooging I believe) that the gas contract she signed was not in the Ukrainian peoples best interest monetarily. But I don't think being a bad negotiator makes one a thief, just incompetent, unless you have uncovered facts that support a different claim. Lazarenko is the one sitting in jail for that, not Tymoshenko.

At any rate, incompetence or being percieved as weak should be a disqualifier for leadership.

Crimea is Northern Ireland dude. "Only worse."
Who can President Putin blame here?

"Doesn't take a genius to think it through"...though maybe it does take a real genius to get paid while doing so.
The world will watch as ZH'ers celebrate the killing of women and children...and worse. Far worse actually.

Sometimes keeping your feelings in check is a bad thing too. "The people your invading might get the wrong idea." Same goes for the odd collection of people cheering it on.

You see no one over there cheering this on.
Fly on over Banzai...go talk to the locals over there and ask them what they think of "President Putin." (Believe me...if you can find anyone to even talk to...if you can even show up without having the crap beat out of you...they will agree with you "100 PERCENT!") This thing is just getting started.

And what do you think of the exceptional neo-con morons who decided it was a good to incite an open ended riot?

..

Here is an email I received from a Ukrainian ZH lurker who I happen to know because he has bought prints from me. What do you think about this?

"When Zerohedge first started, I tried to get an account and had problems. One of the Tylers said that my logon must have been in spam. I said it was not. Anyway the discussion broke down and I started to think only certain people had access, so the discussion comments section did not reflect real people. I ended up abusing one of the Tylers, and ever since I was a lurker.

Ukrainians used to be Serfs, owned by regional administrators who were Jewish. They extracted tribute and kept a cut, then passed on to the Princes in the various Principalities.

For this reason, Ukrainians have suspicion and disdain for Jews ( I grew up with disgust for Jews, family said they were scum).

There is envy of the Oligarchs who rule Ukraine, but they know they have money and can pay henchman to hurt (Ukrainian Mafia) so people do nothing.

I don't hate Jews, I just know some ill feeling Jews never think for the Ukrainian peasantry and treat us like shit kickers still. This is a fact. I guess it is just human nature at the 0.1% mentality.

For this reason Nazis exploited this and used Ukrainians willing to do the dirty work. Babi Ya in Ukraine (Mass Killing of Jews) was at hands of Village Idiot Ukrainians given guns and drunk on power.

Now they Right Wing Ukrainians have some power and they want to get rid of Ukrainian Jew Oligarchs and others. This is fact. They chant this.

For this reason, Putin has legitimate fears for Russians (Read Jews) in Ukraine.

The USA has to keep out of this and can let Russia assume martial control to ensure free and fair elections.

You can publish this.

WB7: I have not been to Kiev recently, but I have been there a handful/number of times and I am not surprised at this. On all my trips, which were in the 90s, I had an armed guard following me upon the insistence of my hosts.

And yes, there are many fierce anti-semites in that part of the world, which surprised me because there was nary a jew to be seen.

And now I will tell you what I think.

We and the EU should have minded our own fucking business and let these people settle their own differences.

Now it is a legitimate question to ask: WTF did you geniuses think would happen?

The answer is the EU leadership are a bunch of useful idiots. It never occurred to them that it would be a bad idea to cut off your gas and cause a Russian run on London's banks.

And the neo-cons, now they will get what they wanted, because we will be told we now have to spend all kinds of fiat on rebuilding our conventional military to meet the "dangerous new  national security challenges" we are facing.

What national security challenges? Well, go and see what Hagel said about the state of our military.

And that is what makes the globalist world go round.

So we're now calling the Obamanation regime "neo-con idiots"?  On behalf of the neo-con idiots I must protest, even if they don't let me in their clubhouse, either.

I don't know about using McCain here, I don't think he could find his Ukraine with both hands and I still try to maintain some kind of respect for his service, no matter the inanities he spews on a regular basis.

"WB7: ... And now I will tell you what I think.

William, how far would you stretch this, in the case of us europeans? Would you go as far as to say that we had no right to offer a place in the EU or any kind of treaty to Ukraine? Would you go as far as to say that we have no right to engage in trade with Ukraine?

How about Turkey? Would you go as far as to say that Turks have no right to be concerned about the Crimean Tartars, who speak a Turkic language and are mostly Sunni Moslems? (Note in the first poster how the old 19th Century propaganda of the "brutish, fearful Turk" at the bottom/right shines through)

"...The answer is the EU leadership are a bunch of useful idiots..."

How much does Noland with her "Fuck the EU" just show how Americans in general are becoming increasingly contemptuos of their allies? Yes, allies. As for the Baltic Nations, who do have some reasons to think Putin might, just might, get the idea of taking them back in the Russian fold... without asking them nicely. They are our military allies. We have treaties of mutual defence with them. So is Bulgaria. Yet not Ukraine.

Fine, applaud Putin for exposing some of the ugliness behind our leader's posturing. He has so far "earned" this. Yet I can't stand behind your sentences.

If you want the US to disingage from NATO, then say so. Yet as long as this treaty exists... some of what has happened so far was justified.

btw, the old, original propaganda poster you took as a basis... is as interesting as your adaptation

[You can have a treaty or trade with whomever you want.

And now you are in the process of learning that Putin can have or not have trade with whomever he wants.]

[I suppose the Turks can pick a fight with the Russians over the Crimean Tatars if they are feeling stupid. Up to them. Erdogan needs a distraction doesn't he? Or will NATO liberate his country next?]

"...The answer is the EU leadership are a bunch of useful idiots..."

[I don't give a fuck what that neo-cunt Nuland says or thinks. And my satirical treatment of her says as much.

Only a useful idiot would line up behind someone like that.

And they certainly did line up, because this instigation certainly seems to have been spearheaded by Obozo & Co

So what was the well thought strategic plan? Lets get Putin to shut off our gas supply etc? Start a Russian run on the City of London? Lets open a can of worms and hail Mary? Let the US Marine Corp worry about putting the genie back in the bottle?]

How much does Noland with her "Fuck the EU" just show how Americans in general are becoming increasingly contemptuos of their allies? Yes, allies. We have treaties of mutual defence with them. So is Bulgaria. Yet not Ukraine.

[If you look at my posts, one conclusion you will reach concerning my view of the situation is never fool yourself into believing Uncle Sam has your best interests at heart. He most certainly does not.

I feel sorry for the Baltics and  Poland. They have been sold down the river many times before. Merkel, who has a portrait of Katherine the Great on her desk, does not share the identical concerns as the Poles for example and it would be foolish for them to think so. They, however, harbor no such illusions since they have been fucked from both directions many times before. And the picture sitting on Merkel's desk tells them all they need to know.]

[I got news for you, the geniuses in Vichy Washington think of you Europeans as little children in a playground. Ugly Neocon Americans. And that expression "fuck the Europeans" was no unfortunate accident.

Somehow, somewhere along the line, someone got the idea that NATO are the New World Police. Seems more the the New Keystone Cops. And frankly, ordinary Americans have grown extremely tired of this misplaced notion.]

'someone got the idea that NATO are the New World Police. Seems more the the New Keystone Cops.'

Bingo. NATO's treaty describes a defensive alliance. But with the Soviet Union kaput, Clinton involved NATO in 'out of area' operations in Kosovo. Bush upped the ante with NATO's 'out of area' invasion of Afghanistan.

NATO's illegal 'out of area' operations are no different than the Soviet Union's Warsaw Pact domination of satellite states.

NATO should have been shut down when the Soviet Union disappeared in 1991. NATO's bureaucracy needs a credible enemy to justify its existence, and now Russia fills the bill.

Doubtless there are champagne toasts at NATO HQ in Brussels. The good old days are here again, and the arsonists can roll to the rescue with the fire brigade.

That  sounds  about right. Never been to the Ukraine, but the neighbouring Slovakia.  There are some really dangerously backward people there combining extreme bigotry,  nothing-to-lose prison mentality,  and in-your-face gangsters. They have more than their fair share of village idiots on testosterone. On the plus side, there are sophisticated, urbane and generous people (mostly those who lived abroad), and the young women in that part of the world are like Miss World contestants on female versions of viagra.

One has to ask, what kind of subhuman puckered anuses in the West knowingly,  deliberately funds, supports, and then threatens to go to war to legitimise a bunch of vile genocidal mongs thrust into power by violence with romantic delusions of their nazi past?  I guess the same sort who funded the original nazis in the first place - the Bush dynasty comes to mind.  As mcmolotov recently opined, I'm sick of this retarded broken record repeating the same old shit, the same criminals fiddling around with the old playbook.

It's wise to be wary of statists whichever side they're on, but having had my eyes opened in the last decade to false flags, msm propaganda,  state terrorism,  and the accelerating erosion of the rule of law in the government itself, constantly trying to create wars to divert attention away from the real issue of the systemic collapse of economies based on untenable debt, I'm firmly on the side with Vlad on this one. All things considered, the Crimea is his front yard, and an absolute necessity to his country's survival. The chancers who thought they could cripple him with this mugging must be mad.  It took the combined forces of three empires, the British, French and Ottoman to shift Russia from the Crimea last time in 1853 and only for a short while. The situation is a foregone  conclusion only this time, everyone is nuclear armed.

I'm really afraid that these mad people in power who genuinely believe they are invulnerable and above the law will learn the hard way the delusions of their beliefs,  probably taking all of us with them in their final hour.
