That John Kerry rendition cracks me up.;-) I was just sitting here reading ZeroHedge and my phone rings. It was a 202 area code so I let it go to voicemail. Turns out I have been invited to a soiree to meet the potential DFL candidate for this district. Remember, I pulled the Jeffords maneuver when I switched from the dark side to the other dark side. My first thought was "Really, you had to call me from D.C.? WTF?" I deleted that message but maybe I should go just to be my usual asshole self? I could just say "I don't really want to talk any of you, I am just here for the free shit." and see how that goes over. I had better not do that though because that would end it for me right there and that is not my goal here.
Yesterday, I got invited to another meet the potential candidate potluck sort of dinner and this one at a church no less. Of course that makes sense in St. Minnesota... somebody is going to play the religion card and beat that dead horse some more. I was instructed to make some hotdish and bring that to share along with everyone else's hotdish. I didn't answer that phone call either.
I see how this works, the DFL doesn't pack your physical mailbox full of begger's letters like the GOP, they want to get you face to face and then ask for this. It is a lot harder to say no when face to face. What is odd though is that I have not seen any emails yet and I gave them one of my valid email addresses at the caucus. Remember, not long ago when I took my daughter because she asked what a caucus was and I had to run my precint's meeting because no one else would step forward and lead?
I did receive one letter in the mail from this Jim Read guy who is running for CONgress. Somehow he knows my middle name. I never gave that information out. Pretty spooky. You should read the letter, it sounds so similar to the GOP message and that is spooky as well. Of course he is a college professer. Surprise. I won't bore you with the details because you have heard it all before anyway. The same old shit. It would be laughable if it were not so sad.
I never intended to get involved again. I really didn't but I guess I am a stupid moth flying into one of those old bug zapper things. It was seer's reply to a post on another that prompted me to write this. Seer's point was that there is no major difference between the GOP and the DFL or at least I believe it was. I would agree and I am attempting to prove it. I would rather do it from a distance but that is hard to do. My background is in science and have a degree as such. What I am trying to do is study these people who seek to rule our lives. We have to set aside emotions and predilections and observe and that is not easy to do either. It may not sound important to observe but it is important that one of us do it. I guess it will be me over here but others can do it as well.
What if bring my Russian wife and two half Russian kids to one of those events I mentioned? What if I ask a potential candidate why we would even consider intervening in Ukraine and you have a real live Russian standing right there in front of you? But that is an emotional question and not scientific in nature. There is just no way I am going to get behind Hillary Clinton and I am not going to get behind any GOP nominee. The federal government system is not working for us because it is just too big.
So how to fix it all? That is a daunting question but the answer may be more obvious than we think. Why do we have states? Why is there a 10th amendment? Why is there a Bill of Rights for that matter? There was a reason why but no one thinks of it any longer it seems. It was to limit federal government. It's not hard to figure out. If you say something like that these days amongst politicians they look at you like you are nuts. Think about it. Half of CONgressmen don't even show up to vote on any given session day anyway. Come on.

What the attempt is, is to segregate the employees, into risk classes and ultimately to offload them onto .gov. So, naturally (as this is a "group policy") I will become part of that preferred group (the data mining will not help) I do not eat sugar, I do not drink, I do not smoke, I have safe sex, I don't drive fast, I don't own guns, I don't ski, boat or sky dive as hobbies, I don't eat red meat...in fact...I'm a vegetarian.

yesterdays news, but in context, remember Bush did on occasion disappear for days. he did not always take the press, especially when he was campaigning in a private home for his own party. the rumors were flying toward the end, Bush was going to declare another emergency and cancel the elections, (and to that end his people crashed the finanical system). there was also talk that he would be impeached, or there might be a coup, and that he would have to leave the country (so the property in paraguay was bought, this part of S.A. was a nazi hideout after W2) he became the least visible former president in modern history. vince bugliosi wanted to try him for war crimes (charles manson, he knows a serial killer when he sees one) Obama was the perfect stooge to cover the trail of criminal evidence that was left behind. Tom Delay did get jail, Jack Abramoff, Duke Cunningham. After he was reelected, (recall his OJ moment in the WH, -thank you- he really didn't expect to be reelected, but the other candidate was John Kerry, who promised to do Iraq "better", and karl Rove still had the keys to diebold, and ohio... the Bush people hated McCain, and Paulsons old firm gave Obama twice as much money (was that a profitable trade?) after his reelection there was so much hubris they were sure there would be no Democrat party left in four years. (in some ways they are right) but then GOP president Bush did not agree with GOP congress Boehner, on immigration (and the Democrats in Congress and Bush walked hand in hand, but to avail) some of it is stockholm syndrome. the constitution was eviscerated, the press put on short security clearance leash, congressional types were compromised, (Feinstein would have never dare made these accusations then). you go along to get along as they say.
