Cheney did profit, when the house questioned his ethics (that he owned Halliburton stock) his answer was no, i own options, (which we all know are the same thing) and that was the end of it. cheney was the vp, and we all know vps have almost no power, (so why arent we going after bush, because we're going after cheney) to me this smells like a political diversion away from the bigger truth, by going after the little ones and by minimizing the reasons for the Iraq war to simple greed. but its either that, or Paul will have to go it alone on third party ticket. final answer he's just playing the game.

Not to let Cheney off the hook but LBJ did the same thing to an even larger extent with the same company. Haliburton/KBR/Brown & Root same company making boat loads of money off of taxpayers and dead people killed by MIC. Endless criminal sh*t and they all live like kings on the deaths of millions.

You are abolutely correct. LBJ had the Whitehouse moved to his Texas ranch when he was prez. They still have tours of this place which included an airstrip large enough to accomodate AF-1. What was striking was the garden at the end of the tour, there is a garden with stones on the border of the garden which has the names of those who stayed there. I found those names very interesting. Several tour guides also told us that only the people who did 'business' with him stayed there at the ranch. All others had to find accomodations in San Antonio, about two hours away.

She is the President of the whole University of California system. And the only conceivable reason they had for hiring her was to control student protests and/or this type of rowdy event.

she was also governor of Arizona. i would say the connection is more about corporate and government research grant money (and what that money and political influence buys and what it buys NOT)- which is silence, or the stifling of scientific dissent.

there is plenty of climate change debate, with much pro-global warming opinions coming from Scripps for instance, but most of that research was started prior to 2008, which was the financial equivalent of 9/11 for changing the look of our universities.

research into autism is an example of how scientific research has been propagandized to protect big pharma. how many economics PHDs are there, and why is Paul Krugman the one who always shows up on the news shows? since autism didn't really come into the public view until after 2008, let me suggest the universities haven't a chance of extending the obvious connection between the epidemic and thimersol mercury preseratives and vaccinating too young childen. such theories are likened to tinfoil hats. though i am also certain that (individual) mds are no longer as aggressive about the vaccination program, (even while the AMA continues to hyperbolize the dangers of diseases which can be prevented by vaccination, otherwise why is there is so much whooping cough in SD county?)

now that you bring it up, i have an idea why she was appointed.
