Interesting, WM. And funny. However, with a son in the military, knowing the sacrifices he makes daily for family and country, some of the comments here are not expressed in the same mode of political satire as you are getting at, but are demeaning to our military. And whether we like it or not, if it weren't for the capabilities of those folks - and their willingness to make those sacrifices - we would have been a failed nation long ago. Just sayin'.
I am sure you are aware of my track record when it comes to repect for former and current military personnel, those who are deserving. Both of my parents served our country honorably.
Having said that, I am sure you are also aware that the kinds of comments you are refering to do not kill people (all talk), whereas the words and deeds of the vermin frequently targeted by my satire most certainly do.
When I look at the original of that picture, I think I have a pretty good idea what the people standing on that deck were really thinking that day. Unfortunately, it has become all to apparent that the cowardly chickenhawks that planned that farcical event are still on the loose.

I love this, I love your problem. Segue is Latin. People are having a dreadful problem with "sanguine" as well. It gives me hope (springs eternal) to see that a considerable number of Americans remain dedicated to expressing themselves intelligently in spite of it all.

If I recall, Robin Hood was anti-establishment, that is to say anti-TBTF. It was the Sheriff of Nottingham that was his immediate enemy.
