Just like the Obama-bots, he has his two week old Putin-proles doing his grunt work for him. There's not a dimes worth of difference between these two socialist-oligarchs. They both appear before us as products of their respective top-down, centrally planned apparatchik goverments. Obama as some sort of social working wonder boy with a halo around his head droning & spying and Putin through the blood drenched KGB pretty much the same, sans drones.
And they both apparently expect sovereign freemen to pick a side...and frankly, I'm surprised at the ZH veterans who do.
There are three kinds of people on the planet.
Those who want to be just left alone to get on with life, do their beat and deal with whatever comes along.
Those who think they have the right to control the lives of others and steal most of what they produce.(All Politicians fall into this one, I think)
Those who have no clue.

To an extent yes. But I would argue it is more system than individuals. Any top-down system that perpetuates and promotes concentration of power into few individuals is prone to psychopathy. It is an extremely rare individual who is able to resist the temptations of power and not be changed by it.

Unless quickly, quickly the young-who-would-be-fodder are trained not to respond when the war bell rings. But maybe it's not going to be troops this time but nukes. TPTB may want population reduction however it's served up.
If the 'idiot rubes' are willing to sign up for it, power to them - a fair number sign up just for the opportunity, regardless of who's on the other side. Unfortunately, there's always a lot of 'collateral damage' - all the civilians who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, and don't have any way to get out, or any where to go. But
I suspect more than a few sign up for "the opportunity" these days, its what they advertise for, which are the ones I'm talking about.
In my heart & head I know real warriors have a sense of duty & honor and believe it or not the compassion to spare lives (not just take them) and they can't be bribed with "career advancement" tokens for just towing the line and holding their tongue.s

I'll tell ya man, I don't know who their (the Ukrainian) Havel or Jefferson will be but they clearly need one. I know there are good people there (Ukrainian & Russian both) but the oligarchs AND apparatchiks who play these "games of thrones" are pretty good at driving them away...the state itself is full of them (bureaucrats, academics, press etc.) only consumed with themselves and their alignment with power through law, you almost have to be larcencous to enter the game in many places around the world, including here.
Once upon a time we were pretty good at weeding these assholes out, not always...but close enough to drive the wolves off for a time.
So again I say, in a different way this time...I refuse to pick between two wolves who are fighting over a child. If I had my way I would kill both the wolves and save the baby.
