"Same as it ever was."

when George Allen lost his Senate seat in VA in 2006 he moved to the Reagan library, (where he handles overdue fines and missing books probably) so Cantor might try applying to the Bush library, but remember these are the guys who fought BUSH about immigration in his second term. W was going to walk down the aisle with Pelosi hand in hand with an amnesty bill and the GOP in the house blocked it. Bush became a statist too, and until Obama Ws terms was considered one of the highest spending presidental tenures. the process is never going to yield results, Brat will lose to a Democrat (the party will throw money into that race) who will tow the statist line. this is probably a victory for them which is no victory at all.

Sorry, Cantor. This is America telling self-enriching public-trough whores that their days are numbered because they aren't getting the fucking job done.

I was looking at a list of Cantor's campaign contributors and it looked like a who is who of Wall Street.  I especially enjoyed seeing Goldman Sachs listed.  The 5 figure amount shown was just small change for them, but ooooh the burn boss, the burn.

Also is seems that the Cantor people don't get much news off of the Internet.  The Drudge Report alone was showing what a debacle was happening at the border with all those kids being thrown across like grappling hooks.  The disease potential is just now starting to leak into national news.  We've got a scabies epedemic starting in South Texas and the illegal kids are also showing staph infections, chicken pox, and in some cases STD's.  Apparently they didn't recieve any vaccinations in Central America.  The Black Plague brought to you by the US Chamber of Commerce.

Don't let the small amount fool you. They contribute behind the facade of all the PACs and foundations they bankroll. Not to mention the partners of the firm individually.

And I remember this douche weasel announcing that he was fearful for his life during OWS.

Fuck you Cantor, you Bankster Douche Weasel!

BTW Sheldon Adelson put $5 Million into Cantor's Super PAC.

Hopefully Cochran. Here is just one example of political cronyism, Cochran & Barbour.

Spot the statists ;-)

JACKSON, Miss. -- On the ropes in a primary runoff, incumbent Republican Sen. Thad Cochran is trying to pull in independents, moderates — even Democrats — to "expand the electorate" in his last stand against challenger Chris McDaniel, whose tea party base appears galvanized and ready to vote again.

And after months of defending or dodging his record of bringing home the bacon from Washington, Cochran is now using it for his offense message: Look what I've done for your county, town, business, military base or school. Imagine life without me, or the federal spending that makes up more than 40 percent of state revenue.

"A larger electorate is to Thad's advantage," said former Gov. Haley Barbour, a Cochran supporter and former Republican National Committee chairman. "The McDaniel people did a very good job of turning out their vote … I give this as an example of expanding the electorate: School people — teachers, administrators, bus drivers, parents, parents of special-ed students, will be much more motivated to go vote if they know one candidate, McDaniel, wants to do away with $800 million in federal support for education, while Senator Cochran has always supported it."

i'm totally indifferent, its like if the fed chief was replaced by an intern. everyone would say whoa what did that intern say to put him in the chair. unfortunately even if Brat wins the election he won't get Cantors position, he'll be a junior rep with no authority (this is why states almost always vote for encumbents, or for members of the party in control, because they have access to power) and california elected arnold in a recall after the bush people through enron raped the state over electric rates. voters arent stupid, they go along with whoever will cause them the least pain. if rove cheney bush is going to drive you into the ground, might as well elect a republican (arnold managed to accomplish none of the cherished republican agenda, including a rollback of  business regs, and breaking the public unions)  and make no mistake the BUSH PEOPLE WANTED TO BREAK CALIFORNIA worse then they wanted IRAQ, and so everybody in the state with both frontal lobes hates Bush and their people and with good reason. brown is an independent, without an ideological agenda, so we tolerate, even embrace him.

in VA i am not sure, except that a DEM will probably win the seat, and thats enlightened thinking on their part. assuming theyre the party that controls washington for the next few terms. the GOP has always been a party of outsiders, and the tea party just reestablishes their position, and the position of the statist DEMS in control

The good folks from CaliLand always make sure to return Diane Feinstein to her exalted position as Federal Surveillance Mistress so they can feel safe from whatever; Gray Davis, the maintainer and promoter of Cali's vast and brutal Correctional System, of course had nothing do do with and received absolutely no compensation when he did his Great Energy Sellout and Arnold is a Democrat and nothing changes; and Brown, who once had a little sense and an iota of integrity, lost whatever he had a long time ago -- he joined the Police State and no one loves the Police State more than a good progressive.

Time to head to the beach.

and we could have used the same formula on Tom Daschele. even if it takes too long to kick out those who have been converted to statist principles, (too long encumbents) it still feels good. remember the house vote on rule 100 on limiting NSA was split primarily along senior junior lines, not party.

there's two things california politics has, which should work in washington, spending by voter initiative (tired of the war on terror, voter initiative to defund it) and the 2/3s majority. the problem in DC is that they do too much not too little and bad law is made by a simple majority.california is not a police state, although the local beaches are more heavily regulated than any real estate on earth, thats mostly local law enforcement, which doesnt want every day at the beach to turn into spring break.

a relative works for the correctional system, he plays cards with the inmates and plans his retirement. when the perp gets out the family says, our son is coming home from college. like all things left coast its a matter of perception
