Ter·ror·ist (Noun): Anyone Who Disagrees with the Government
I noted in 2009:
The Department of Homeland Security and police forces label anyone who they disagree with – or who disagrees with government policies – as “terrorists”.
Don’t believe me?
Well, according to a law school professor, pursuant to the Military Commissions Act, “Anyone who … speaks out against the government’s policies could be declared an ‘unlawful enemy combatant’ and imprisoned indefinitely. That includes American citizens.”
And according to an FBI memo, peace protesters are being labeled as “terrorists”.
***
Anyone who disagrees with the “acceptable” way of looking at things is a terrorist.
How is this different from Stalin or Mao’s use of labels such as “enemy of the state”?
This may have seemed over-the-top to some, but events have proven it true.
For example, the following is considered terrorism or suspected terrorism in modern America:
- Questioning war (even though war reduces our national security; and see this)
- Criticizing the government’s targeting of innocent civilians with drones (although killing innocent civilians with drones is one of the main things which increases terrorism. And see this)
In fact – since 9/11 – virtually all dissent has been equated with terrorism.
As Paul Joseph Watson notes:
Of course, the vast majority of people who visit Internet Cafes use cash to pay their bill. Who uses a credit card to buy a $2 dollar cup of coffee? A lot of smaller establishments don’t even accept credit cards for amounts less than $10 dollars.
Other examples of suspicious behavior include using a “residential based Internet provider” such as AOL or Comcast, the use of “anonymizers, portals, or other means to shield IP address” (these are routinely used by mobile web users to bypass public Internet filters), “Suspicious communications using VOIP,” and “Preoccupation with press coverage of terrorist attack” (this would apply to the vast majority of people who work in the news or political blogging industry).
Searching for information about “police” or “government” is also listed as a potential indication of terrorism, as is using a computer to “obtain photos, maps or diagrams of transportation, sporting venues, or populated locations,” which would apply to virtually anyone who uses Google Maps or Google Earth.
People who may wish to keep private the contents of a personal email or an online credit card purchase by attempting to”shield the screen from view of others” are also characterized as potential terrorists.
Business owners who spot patrons engaging in these types of activities are encouraged to call the FBI’s Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC), after first gathering information on license plates, names, ethnicity, and languages spoken.
In total, there are 25 different CAT flyers aimed at businesses from across the spectrum – everything from hobby shops to tattoo parlors.
As we have documented on numerous occasions, the federal government routinely characterizes mundane behavior as extremist activity or a potential indicator of terrorist intent. As part of its ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign, the Department of Homeland Security educates the public that generic activities performed by millions of people every day, including using a video camera, talking to police officers, wearing hoodies, driving vans, writing on a piece of paper, and using a cell phone recording application,” are potential signs of terrorist activity.
The CAT program again underscores how federal authorities are empowering poorly trained citizens to become terrorist hunters, stoking fears that America is sinking deeper into a Stasi-style informant society.
In modern America, curling up in a ball to avoid police violence may also be considered “active resistance” … justifying the use of more force, including baton strikes.
And even pointing out tyrannical trends may be grounds for harassment.
Note: Some also claim that copyright infringers are terrorists, and swat teams have been deployed against them. See this, this, this and this. I’m not condoning copyright infringement, but merely citing to the all-pervasiveness of the “terror” label. And given that even grandmas and children might innocently and unwittingly download copyrighted content, any tendency to use the terror label is troubling.

My dad got stopped several years ago in a random road side seat belt check point in rural Illinois. When he rolled down his window the county sheriff asked him for his driver’s license and insurance card. My dad said, in a very sarcastic manner "here you go comrade". He said the cop looked at him and rolled his eyes and said "yeah, I know" As if he was ashamed to be part of this activity. He handed the "papers" back to may dad and said "have a nice day". My guess is that if you say something like that in today's environment you would solicit a blast of pepper spray face and a nice set of hand cuffs will be slapped on your wrists before you can reopen your eyes.
A little off subject here but when they first proposed the seat belt law here in mentally Illinois, it was promised that they would NEVER pull anyone over for just a seat belt violation. This would only be enforced if you were already pulled over for something else (like a speeding violation, for example) Moral of the story - NEVER let the camel get his nose in your tent. Never.

We'll git' those terrorists... Now watch this drive.
Ah, **Peak Gov't**
Not.
When do the rallies start to promote the “Superior” race on the football fields?
Oh wait, I think they already did. American idol.
Guess I won’t be selected to be one of the participants.
Don't forget Madonna's NWO imagery at the Stupor Bowl.
Tyranny is here! It has found a home in America!
Communism, marxism, socialism, progressivism, and all their collectivist cousins ALWAYS lead to tyranny! They have eventually destroyed every civilization they have ever touched. They are now doing the same to America!
The government has made clear that according to them, we're ALL terrorists now!
don't think any of those designations will hold up in court, for american citizens in foreign countries there is no court, however. and i wonder if jim rogers making speeches about the us government from singapore shouldn't watch above him?
Fair Warning. Anyone who clicks the down button on my post will be reported as a terrorist.
this is extraordinarily serious and efforts must be launched to fight it.....unfortunately it will be a hard struggle because the majority of americans agree with the government from so much brain washing....what is worse, most of them believe that concentration camps are the best way to deal with dissenters....we live in a nazi state....
Nazi Germany meets Idiocracy.
I am often reminded here on theser pages of two quotations:
1) George Santayana: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
2) Martin Niemoller:
Dana White went on tilt versus Anonymous and others for his support of SOPA, due to "illegal" stream of his PPVs being all over the internet, costing his business revenue (even though UFC has grown into a monopoly, and STILL under pays his fighters despite record profits).
In his response to the hackers after hacking his site, he said, "You guys are so dumb. This isn't the way to change things, by justifying stealing my shit. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE GOVERNMENT."
This is the type of thought that the majority of the non critical thinking, populace has. "I'm a millionaire, fuck everyone else." When people start thinking, "Hey, it (govt intervention) doesn't affect me, why should I give a fuck?"....... the exact minute that happens......you start losing a republic.
That's the type of thinking that crumbles societies. Ask Rome.
The population is quick to generalize and not too quick to look under the emperor's robe (although that is gotten more prevalent, hence SOPA/ACTA/PIPA).
Everyone thinks that this govt has YOUR best interests in heart. It doesn't; if it was, everyone wouldn't be fucking bitching about it.
But hey, we live in corporate fascism that has created so much wealth for us so, why fight it, right? Why even try to stop the govt when they ram inflation, higher taxes on poor/middle class, and censorship, up our ass?
Nearly 12 years ago, experiencing identity theft provoked me to return to cash only transactions. I've never looked back.
You can thank the christ tards and their "war on terror" for most of this shit. Christians are dumb as rocks.
I'm a Christian, and I am MUCH smarter than a rock. I don't support any of the crap that's going on....Republitards, NDAA, wars, etc.
Please don't paint with such a broad brush....I know many other Christians who are not going along with the cointelpro. : (
Too right - the Christards are at least half the problems in the world. As bad as the Islamics and the Jews
They all need to be torched.
Lets get back to dancing around the maypole and fucking virgins.

The model for the new society is a termite colony. Men will be of the soldier caste. Bred for that use only. Women will be bred as workers and will not breed separately. The 1% will run the colony and will be the only ones to reproduce. That's where everything is headed. You will follow orders or be eliminated.
Interesting analogy. I propose the introduction of fipronil in the form of a pm asset backed currency to infect and take down the entire colony. It's already happening when state fed presidents are saving gold and inflation hedged securities in their personal holdings. These guys don't believe in their own efforts, why should anybody else?
End the fed.
(By the way, ants are natural enemies of termites, they're a perfect foodsource for them.)

Papers please, bitchez.
As a man who loves his freedom, (as much of it as there is remaining), who loves his children, (and fears for their future), and wishes no harm on his fellow man, I am stunned at how my defense of my core beliefs by living my life as I chose, is, in itself, an act of terrorism.
I'm sure glad they didn't include listening to a police scanner on that list.
Thanks. U are a true patriot. The DHS will now update it's warnings. **sarcasm**
Torture chambers will soon be a patriotic thing. So will prison camps. So will death panels. Anything to put fear into the sheep and thin the herd from malcontents. Nobody believes the narrative they give about the banks saving the world. Nobody beleives the war narratives anymore. That's why they have to make speech a crime. Next logical step is thought because people are wanting out of this arrangement. They need you to think this is all normal and there are no alternatives except Mad Max but really any alternative to what the want to give us would be 100x more appealing. We are not free now and they never want us to be.
Same deal in Canada, any disagreement is anti Canadian. You are shut down and shut up. Harper is a dictator, he is worse than GWB.
"Real" Canadians shouldnt protest the pipeline.
This is not new, news. Lincoln jailed opponents. FDR was a tyrant and so were several Presidents. Look up and read about the War Powers of a President. It is ongoing and more dangerous with each new President.
Your Bill of Rights is not what your teachers told you. The two largest hammers the American People have are to control elections (it gets more difficult) and to know the rights of a Jury in a trial. If you do spend the time to learn the powers of a Jury, keep it to yourself, a Judge can smack you up aside the head.
This may be The Home of the Brave, but caution about The Home of the Free.
The pronouncements of Home Land Security are at times outrageous and sound in my mind of a Terrorist Nature. Holder does not up hold the Law except in a very selective way and mostly not in the interest and benefit of the USA Populace.
HOWEVER, the Freedom to Speak out is still with us. It may bring scrutiny, or an audit, or a no fly on public air lines and other unknown problems. Yet, It is a pitch fork, a hammer, a defense and an obligation to oppose tyranny.
On the other side of the coin, this Nation may be in the most diabolical and difficult War in our history. The Home Land is at risk and the weapons that are available to cause illness, death and destruction are available to the enemy. The known various agencies that have gained my wrath have no doubt stopped more than one execution of acts that would have had severe consequence. For that I thank those agencies and the people that make it not happen day in and day out. Not all Government is bad, but as with Pinocchio whose nose grew longer with each lie---- the Big Lie produces longer noses.
The US Government must take care not to loose any more credibility with the people it governs.
Onlooker - that is the most reasoned comment so far on this somewhat hysterical thread. It boils down to this: if you haven't concluded that it isn''t worth trying to maintain your freedom, then keep on trying. Otherwise you might as well just lay down and give up.
If you do spend the time to learn the powers of a Jury, keep it to yourself...
I must agree too. Years ago I was taught that if your neighbors animals were the source of malicious conduct one was best adivised to say nothing about it. Take care of business and move on.
End the fed.
We are very early stage here - you ain't seen nothing yet.
I agree Bob. Believe it or not, this is just the beginning. Soon, the Ides of March will be upon us, 3-3-12 is when NDAA takes effect and the 12th on out will reshape Amerika as we know it.
We have the right to disagree with appointed figure heads, the right to protest. Last time I checked, it was "We the People" not them the 1% unless we have a Dictator installed right now and haven't realized it yet.
I have been monitoring the rapid decline of Western society since 9/11, it wasn't all for nothing folk's, it's an overeaching power grab to TPTB.

Moreover, I usually don't quote myself, this is an addition to after I was just knocked offline.
Thanks for the search term Ned. What I am trying to impress upon people without pulling out the firehose and turning everyone off to these items of research is this. If your not ready to pay the ultimate price of Patriotism, then get your Passport out and go now.
This has no good ending regaurdless, I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees. But, that's me, it's not for everyone.
I wanted to cover an issue of my study real quick.
I cannot find a plan or an executive order anywhere which outlines any procedure or allowance for the restoration of the Constitution after a National Emergency has ended. (define Emergency). So anyones guess is a good as mine of how to "restore" a Republic post conflict.
The Enemy.
Chix 4 Free:
Please reconsider, that way you can give the quote your highest approbation ;-)
There isn't any vision of suspending the Constitution, within the Constitution. So there would be no plan within the Constitution. But consider a) "a civilian defense force, equal in capability to the military." b) Honest Abe, suspending Writ of Habeus Corpus, c) Wilson rounding up all of the Germans, d) Rosie rounding up all the Japs, e) ... then there are several ways out. 1. The National Emergency decision gets rescinded somehow (the Cincinnatus path), or 2. a Constitutional Convention convenes on any single subject, but that opens up all topics for amendment (the ConCon path). Of course, there is the third path, 3. the Augustus Caesar change of ~2 years after which the Republic is dead or, 4. the Reichstag Fire path that will involve a) above and then will require "Operation Hummingbird" to consolidate the "victory."
Slippery slope indeed.

{NO! you don't get to sign off with "The Enemy," nor "the enemy." Maybe "an enemy" or <subscript> "a tiny little enemy.}
{{There are too many good enemies around here, including GW himself, for you to get away with that ;-) }}
I cannot find a plan or an executive order anywhere which outlines any procedure...
You've stumbled on the conundrum that precipitated the US Declaration of Independence. Once sovereignty has been asserted, “governments are instituted”. In the US, our heritage is such that our original government was viewed as “deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”.
It also allowed a possibility of dissolution and re-solution due to peculiar inadequacies and ineptitude from time to time outside “normal” channels of elections, though with the recognized risk of operating without the safety of perceived legitimacy.
imho.
Careful!!! Searching those terms is a terrorist act in itself, as the National Security Agency(tm) will inform you.
Chix 4 Free: add "Operation Hummingbird" as historical precedent. - Ned
Germany was a reasonably well functioning democracy in 1933.
Things look to be moving a tad faster this century.
LEON RUSSELL MAGIC MIRROR LYRICS:
I'm standing by the highway
Suitcase by my side
There's no place I want to go
I just thought I'd catch a ride
Many people look my way
And many pass me by
In moments of reflection
I wonder why
To the thieves I am a bandit
The mothers think I'm a son
To the preachers I'm a sinner
Lord I'm not the only one
To the sad ones I'm unhappy
To the losers I'm a fool
To the students I'm a teacher
With the teachers I'm in school
To the hobos I'm imprisoned by everything I own
To the soldier I'm just someone else who's dying to go home
The general sees a number, a politician's tool
To my friends I'm just an equal in this whirlpool
Magic mirror won't you tell me please
Do I find myself in anyone I see?
Magic mirror if we only could
Try to see ourselves as others would
To policeman I'm suspicious it's in the way I look
I'm just another character to fingerprint and book
To the censors I'm pornography with no redeeming grace
To the hooker I'm a customer without a face
The sellers think I'm merchandise, they'll have me for a song
The left ones think I'm right,
The right ones think I'm wrong
And many people look my way
And many pass me by
And in my quiet reflection I wonder why
So, to our own Govt. we're crooks.....?
It is clear that the need for broader definitions of "terrorist" reflects an increasingly corrupt infiltration of the government itself. The initiative of those in authority and political influence is to use the system to shield and protect themselves from the public. Well, now the definition of "terrorist" includes soccer moms with Ron Paul bumper stickers.
This reflects a corrupt, criminal government, and elitist influences (or I should say, cororate dictatorship) over it and their sold out representatives.
It reflects a collapse of society itself; The criminalization of the public brings us the inevitable collapse of ALL faith based institutions: Currency, Religion, Government, Law, education.... all now being exposed as fraudulent and ficticious, thanks to the overexploitation by the elites.
Law enforcement? There is no law now. The law applies only to the poor and unconnected. Police powers are used to target those without power, much like the US military. It is systemic cowardice. The only elites that are "brought to justice" are chosen by the elites themselves... and later vindicated. A law that is not comprehensive to all does not exist. Law enforcement is designed to extract resources from the public, not serve and protect.
Not to mention, law enforcement benefits from the extensive and bloated federal funding, BILLIONS spent on a phantom menace. So there is direct corruption upon the minds and hearts in enforcement that interferes with the very oath they took when they put on that uniform.
"there are exactly 52 terrorists...."
Exactly, how do local police departments have money to purchase 154 million dollar drones to bust people for 100 dollar crimes?
Oh, the Gov't gets it from 'CTRL+P' Bernanke, then it filters down via DHS grants. It won't be long before the local PD gets Cobra Attack Helo's, and M1 Abrams Tanks - 'cuz there's a terr'ist in every home, don'tcha know!
And every piece of new equipment begets an Inservice Training or two on its "effective use." Inservice delight means the same to a fascist pig tool, er, peace officer as it does to anybody else: Time off from the usual grind (maybe even OT), booked "training" hours spent mostly bullshitting and eating free bagels and doughnuts, extended catered lunches, and checking out early. Of course, the more "modern police practice" the job requires means more funds needed to maintain personnel levels and keep "skills" sharp.
The future is brighter than ever for the Pig class, its suppliers, trainers and various toadies.
Not just all bagels and doughnuts. This stuff is evolving and becoming common. In my area a "school" was set up to train LEO et all in better ways to protect. Not sure who they will be protecting, but the militarization of LEO is proceeding at breakneck speed:

OK, so my mother-in-law is a suspect. Cool.
To paraphrase Milton Friedman's "We are all Keynesians now"
We are all terrorists now!
