Ter·ror·ist (Noun): Anyone Who Disagrees with the Government
I noted in 2009:
The Department of Homeland Security and police forces label anyone who they disagree with – or who disagrees with government policies – as “terrorists”.
Don’t believe me?
Well, according to a law school professor, pursuant to the Military Commissions Act, “Anyone who … speaks out against the government’s policies could be declared an ‘unlawful enemy combatant’ and imprisoned indefinitely. That includes American citizens.”
And according to an FBI memo, peace protesters are being labeled as “terrorists”.
***
Anyone who disagrees with the “acceptable” way of looking at things is a terrorist.
How is this different from Stalin or Mao’s use of labels such as “enemy of the state”?
This may have seemed over-the-top to some, but events have proven it true.
For example, the following is considered terrorism or suspected terrorism in modern America:
- Questioning war (even though war reduces our national security; and see this)
- Criticizing the government’s targeting of innocent civilians with drones (although killing innocent civilians with drones is one of the main things which increases terrorism. And see this)
In fact – since 9/11 – virtually all dissent has been equated with terrorism.
As Paul Joseph Watson notes:
Of course, the vast majority of people who visit Internet Cafes use cash to pay their bill. Who uses a credit card to buy a $2 dollar cup of coffee? A lot of smaller establishments don’t even accept credit cards for amounts less than $10 dollars.
Other examples of suspicious behavior include using a “residential based Internet provider” such as AOL or Comcast, the use of “anonymizers, portals, or other means to shield IP address” (these are routinely used by mobile web users to bypass public Internet filters), “Suspicious communications using VOIP,” and “Preoccupation with press coverage of terrorist attack” (this would apply to the vast majority of people who work in the news or political blogging industry).
Searching for information about “police” or “government” is also listed as a potential indication of terrorism, as is using a computer to “obtain photos, maps or diagrams of transportation, sporting venues, or populated locations,” which would apply to virtually anyone who uses Google Maps or Google Earth.
People who may wish to keep private the contents of a personal email or an online credit card purchase by attempting to”shield the screen from view of others” are also characterized as potential terrorists.
Business owners who spot patrons engaging in these types of activities are encouraged to call the FBI’s Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC), after first gathering information on license plates, names, ethnicity, and languages spoken.
In total, there are 25 different CAT flyers aimed at businesses from across the spectrum – everything from hobby shops to tattoo parlors.
As we have documented on numerous occasions, the federal government routinely characterizes mundane behavior as extremist activity or a potential indicator of terrorist intent. As part of its ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign, the Department of Homeland Security educates the public that generic activities performed by millions of people every day, including using a video camera, talking to police officers, wearing hoodies, driving vans, writing on a piece of paper, and using a cell phone recording application,” are potential signs of terrorist activity.
The CAT program again underscores how federal authorities are empowering poorly trained citizens to become terrorist hunters, stoking fears that America is sinking deeper into a Stasi-style informant society.
In modern America, curling up in a ball to avoid police violence may also be considered “active resistance” … justifying the use of more force, including baton strikes.
And even pointing out tyrannical trends may be grounds for harassment.
Note: Some also claim that copyright infringers are terrorists, and swat teams have been deployed against them. See this, this, this and this. I’m not condoning copyright infringement, but merely citing to the all-pervasiveness of the “terror” label. And given that even grandmas and children might innocently and unwittingly download copyrighted content, any tendency to use the terror label is troubling.

There is an old saying in several variations about when you demonize all your opponents you should not be surprised that you end up facing an army of demons and that you are regarded as the demon.
With us or against us, bitchez
THanks for sharing GW. I knew this was coming. We all knew. Time to wake the sheeple. This only ends one way. Why wait any longer?
I have my COINTELPRO goggles on while reading the following http://kauilapele.wordpress.com/2012/02/06/benjamin-fulford-2-7-12-the-takedown-of-the-satanic-cabal-is-proceeding-smoothly/ “Despite widespread pessimism on the part of many truth seekers about the situation in the G5 terrorist states, behind the scenes the satanic cabalists in control of the Western central banks are in a state of extreme fear. One reason is that US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told a White Dragon Society representative last week that the Pentagon and the US agencies were in no mood to let off the cabalists with a truth and reconciliation committee. “We have been watching these guys for a long time” he said and the conclusion reached was that Federal Reserve Board needs to be dismantled and the cabalists jailed.”

Paper bear, thanks. The very fact that the cabal is resorting to these blatant means means they are indeed losing control.
Americans deserve what we get. We've become a nation of money glorifiers and ignore the ruiners of freedom we sent to Washington to govern. What will it take to open our eyes/ i'm afraid to imagine.

I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The shit they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.”
“The next time they give you all that civic bullshit about voting, keep in mind that Hitler was elected in a full, free democratic election”"Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. Fuck Hope.'"
"I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain,' but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for that these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created."
George Carlin
Liar, you and Bolshevik Carlin both. Hitler was not "elected in a full, free, democratic election". In an election with massive voter fraud and intimidation - by Nazi and Communist thugs - he got a raw plurality in a multi-party contest. Hitler became Chancellor only after Heydrich blackmailed v. Hindenburg into making the appointment.
I couldnt have said that better myself.
It is coming... people in authority disappearing up their own rectums
..it's a natural progression of any monopoly mechanism, in this case, Govt
The only way to stop it is to cut the delusional suckers off
Stop Paying Your Taxes
What good will that do? Ben will just print the money they need.
as soon as taxpayers stop paying tax a number of seismic changes happen
1). Govt goes bankrupt
2). all the Govts thugs (IRS, Police, FBI, CIA, EPA etc) go unpaid and are out of work
3). the Fed (a private bank) loses its ratchet (Govt) and its powerbase (monopoly) on money
No Govt, No Fed ...the Free Market free'd in 1 Easy Step
Stop Paying Your Taxes (for immediate social enrichment)
HeyZero G - according to the FBI, you just commited a terrorist act.
Just sayin' ...
NFP
Yes i know.. thankfully i'm European and outside their entirely incompetent jurisdiction
Here in Europe we've usually 3 or 4 Police forces all equally fuking useless at doing their job ..i think the US with the Police, FBI, CIA, Homeland Retards, etc, etc are passing even Eurolands deranged obsession with adding as many worthless different forces as humanly possible in the vein hope the alphabet soup of police forces will scare or deter anything!
..it doesn't. They're all inept
Welcome to upside-down world. Right is wrong, dark is light, loss is gain. Like cockroaches, TPTB thrive in the darkness of lies and deceit and scatter from the light of truth. Suppress, distort, threaten, harass, label as "terrorist"--these are the only tools in their toolbox. Pathetic.
Every one of us needs to watch Bug's Life again. Bug thug Hopper says, "Those puny ants outnumber us 100 to 1. If they figure that out, there goes our way of life!"
More of us ants need to figure it out...
I said sarcastically late last year that sooner or later a parking ticket would be a terrorist act leading to de-citizenship and infinite detainment. Looks like we're heading there.
Who was it, Geobbels, that said go control a society completely you must pass so many laws that "living itself becomes a crime"?
You're very close. The new camera ticket is an excellent example of doublespeak and a "safety" measure which actually decreases safety and is nothing more than a tax. It works like a very bizzare parking ticket. And of course, no one can drive without commiting an infraction, it's impossible. Build it and they will come.
In my state, and in many others, the camera ticket is a radical departure from driving and licensing laws. Before the camera ticket, if you racked up enough "moving" violations, including speeding and red lights, your license was (logically) suspended in the interest of safety. But these new camera tickets have no effect on your license no matter how many you commit...as long as you pay. In my state, when a driver gets their notice in the mail, the very first thing, in bold at the top of the page, is do not worry, "this will not go on your driving record...as long as you pay." If you don't pay however, your license is immediately suspended.
Cities have been literally caught shortening the time delay of their yellow lights so they can catch more drivers. ANd guess what, that has resulted in more accidents. Worse, local cities here have also been caught expanding the twenty mile speed limit when schools are getting out and getting in to ALL DAY, just to throw the drivers and of course the kids are safely tucked away in the classroom. Bastards.
ALthough many drivers and their lawyers simply encourage those "caught" to simply pay, for fun, I thought I would challenge the system in court. THe first thing I noticed is that they only prove these cases "circumstantially" by citing the registered owner of the vehicle. They have no picture of the driver. But wait a minute, what if a married couple are each the registered owner of one vehicle, how do they prove by a preponderance (50+%) who the driver is? Then something else hit me. The courts also set up a system that will let people off if they declare they were not the driver AND reveal who the driver actually was - friend, foe, daughter or both. Usually, it's the spouse. But the evidence rules have something called "the spousal privilege" which gives a spouse the ability to keep another spouse from testifying to something they told them (discretely). There are exceptions to the rule, but they usually involve OJ level violence and the like. So you can't reveal your spousal's "racey" secrets. Hmmm
The next thing I noticed, at least in my state, is that they aren't following any of the other evidence rules as well. ER 901 indicates that before any party can offer the evidence of a process or system, they have to show how it works and that it indeed does work. THis has evolved in may areas and many technologies. In my state, and in may others, contested ticket hearings ARE subject to the eivdence rules. Funny thing is the companies that sold this "easy money" to cities all over, never set up the technician, documentenation and witness system to pull this off.
When I first aruged this, the very local municipal judge was grimacing but denied the motion to suppress (knowing it would be the floodgate to kill the revenue). I told him I would appeal which made him grimace some more. I then filed my appeal and wrote my brief. When we appeared before the higher court, the prosecutor announced that if the court would "remand" the case back to the lower court, they would dismiss the matter. This was a first, usually a prosecutor will "concede" the issue and have the appellate court rule in the other parties favor but they wanted to avoid this at all costs. The appellate judge then grimaced, thought it was weird too and said that's too bad because I read Davey's brief and thought there were some interesting things to discuss...
Like all government corruption, the story does not have a good ending. It turns out, no surprise, that Chicago is "the leader" in this area with hundreds of cameras and millions in revenue. Well the state is broke and the town did teach our president his ropes. Another bored and pissed off lawyer tried the same thing but the city did not give up and it went all the way to a federal district court who recently announced that they really don't have to show how the system works.
UPDATE: there has been a fairly large and growing backlash to these cameras and some cities, under pressure, have removed them. The governments have responded by (what I call) converting all tickets to virtual camera tickets. There is a fast growing trend in the courts that no matter what your driving record, they will simply amend your moving violation to a non moving violation that will never go on your driving record and never threaten your license....as long as you pay. Bastards.
Where I live a camera ticket has to be personally served on the party by an officer. (Colorado) Further, if you really want to fight it, refuse the dismal. It then goes to trial; a very expensive jury trial. Stop that kinda nonsense. Milestones
yes, we've suggested the same strategy, everyone should contest them, it does not increase your cost. That would kill the money plan

"How is it different?"
It just is damn it!
<Someone's gonna have an accident if you.. um.... they keep this up>
And Julian Assange is a Traitor...
<how can he betray a country to which he's not a citizen? He just is damn it!>
The BOTTOM line to all this, is everyone is guilty of a crime, some crimes.
Now that the NDAA Act has passed, we have no rights under the Constitution.
If they want you arrested, you will be.With no recourse for a defense, you have no choice but to go to jail, or die trying not to.
Is it any coincidence that ALL these new onerous BS mandates and laws have been put into effect under the current admin?.
Nope. As planned.
As Bob Hawke would have said; " ... derahh, ... yer, ... yer all just trying to spoil my, my consensus ... errah ... yer, yer all just a bunch of bloody terrorists ... erah...".
An example of real discussion, Bob Hawke style:

Hawk became the PM shortly after that interview. If an Oz PM can talk straight like that to the MSM and just tell the truth about stuff ... why can't a saviour and guru like Barry the superhero?
Because Barry's a skilled liar and a consummate deadhead/dud, who's totally obsessed with pretending to be genuine, and thus needs a teleprompter and faked awards for nothing he has even done, in order to pull it off to an MSM who 'professionally' (I'm using that word very loosely) live or die, based on how much they grovel to this mongrel dog.
Hollow man
+1 Completely agreed (the counter on your post is frozen.)
(it's a new anti-terrorism measure)
celebrate the opposite:
I believe that liberty is the only genuinely valuable thing that men have invented, at least in the field of government, in a thousand years. I believe that it is better to be free than to be not free, even when the former is dangerous and the latter safe. I believe that the finest qualities of man can flourish only in free air – that progress made under the shadow of the policeman's club is false progress, and of no permanent value. I believe that any man who takes the liberty of another into his keeping is bound to become a tyrant, and that any man who yields up his liberty, in however slight the measure, is bound to become a slave. -- H.L. Mencken
forexskin:
Those who put liberty into practice were convinced that men did not, nor could not invent it.
- Ned
@ned
not sure what you're saying.
would Mencken have been better to say 'discovered liberty' than 'invented liberty'?
those who put liberty into practice were pragmatic if nothing else, and knew that the power associated with the necessary evil of government would corrupt most. if men did not invent liberty, as you say, perhaps you're suggesting the same thing - that our Rights are inseperable and not granted by any institution?
u got it--the Natural Rights basis is the only path that avoids (reduces) trouble. Neither man nor government grants liberty. - Ned
"Natural" rights = Guns and willingness to use. Otherwise, there'll be no "rights".
these are really interesting times, and in a way, i'm grateful

there is now a vital focus on what i considered arcane history in my earlier life; i've got a renewed perspective to live by, and raise my kids well. ironically the times are a positive influence on our family life - all this clarifies human ethics in a unique way.
now if we could see progess in my lifetime so i could say that 'i don't distrust this government' as much as i can say 'i love my country, first and foremost for the principles of its founding'...
sorry, but this always gets personal, and i guess i'll never understand anymore when i hear 'vote for him, he's the lesser of two evils'...
i just don't want my kids to inherit their own slavery.
Great, the fbsi doesn't do their job going after financial terrorists and threaten the fabric of liberty.
This weekend, I heard gunshots from multiple locations. I am a little rural, but it ain't the forth of July, either.
The propaganda machine wants us to be controlled by the TV and not organize in our communities to discuss how to protect ourselves. I have to prep on my own, too. By the time that my neighbors understand what I've been saying it will be too late.
Ruffcut - Wish I had neighbors like you. All mine are heavily programmed robots. Nice people, just not very aware. Although I do frequently hear gunshots off in the distance on some days. Probbly should go introduce myself to those people - whoever they are.
The current paradigm is US citizenism.
So...
US citizen nature is eternal. Indians from day one were declared terrorists by US citizens, not people fighting for their 'natural' rights.
236 years later, some US citizens would want the others to keep struggling with what US citizens are.
236 years is quite a long time, especially since some people envisioned in 1776 what US citizens would be.
US citizens nature is eternal and the only thing to be expected from US citizens is to be US citizens.
The author of the article, being a US citizen himself, wants to propagate the idea of novelty, the idea that US citizens have changed along the way.
Which is cheap propaganda.
The communists, the Nazis, the Japanese Imperialists were inspired by US citizenism. They took their ways from US citizens. Not the reverse.
You know,
you often have at least somewhat worthwhile points sprinked in there among your posts but you convey that information in such an inefficient, and probably annoying to some, manner.
Unless you're just trolling you may want to speak to your audience...not yourself.
Just a friendly tip.
Carry on.
Cheers,
GML
It's the dope, mixed with drink
Trying to reason with a Chinese government troll is the equivalent of trying to hold a conversation with a brick wall.
All of its posts are the same stupid shit over and over and over and over and over. Being a mind-numbingly repetitive troll is how it earns its bowl of rice for the day. Why are you even bothering to read its posts at this point?
It's spam.
You must be very experienced in dealing with chinese government troll to have secured that knowledge.
Facts are facts.Nothing wrong in using them extensively.
US citizens have nothing to counter any fact that are brought in.
So they invent, side track.
As a US citizen, it is quite normal for you to maintain a troubled self perception.
US citizens like to crush the weak, US citizens are bullies.
If any of my argumentation was weak, US citizens would enjoy taking it down.
But they prefer circling around, have invented the fabulous tale I have to be a Chinese in order to speak facts about US citizenism etc...
It tells.
For one of the unwashed: What the F--- is "Citizenism"? I am a Sovereign citizen to wit: "We the people--Do establish this constitution foe the United States of America." We are all the owners and final rulers of this country.
Now how do I go about practicing "Citizenism"? Sorry, I'm lost! Milestones
Ok then, what the hell are you?
Comic relief.
http://www.truth-out.org/chinese-fascisms-global-consequences/1327694358
Nice article again.
Contrary to what the author claims, it does not show that China is embracing fascism.
It shows that US citizenism is spreading accross China, as it was reported many times.
-----------------------------------------
"I like black people, because, since they are closer to animals, they are really good at sports."
-----------------------------------------
is not the hallmark of fascism.
Once again, this kind of comments are the hallmark of US citizenism, they were commonly uttered and propagated by US citizens way before fascism was thought of.
Fascism got its inspiration from US citizenism, not the reverse.
The author, a US citizen, just does what US citizens do: kicking the can.
He tries to avoid the reality: US citizenism is what is spreading in China.
Animals are good at sports?
(My Jack Russel never covers her zone.)
Good article. Thanks.
"Another key indicator of fascist state organization is the militarization of the youth, which is an integral part of the Chinese education system - and indeed of Chinese working life. All university students in their freshman year are obliged to enroll in five weeks of military training and indoctrination, most of which consists in standing still for long periods of time, marching for hours on end from 5 AM until 1 AM, shouting, "Yi! Er!" over and over and mass-rehearsed and largely useless hand-to-hand combat drills."
An insect colony masquerading as a nation of human beings.
Makes me think of that Obama youth group video from a couple of years ago.
pods
Friendly, unfriendly, you know, reality does not care.
I've repeated a number of times that US citizens nature is eternal, rephrased sometimes US citizens cannot change.
What is a 'more' reader friendly delivery expected to achieve when you know that you talk to and about people whose nature you know to be immutable?
You are serving here the propaganda trick that if US citizens were better informed, if they know this or that, they would change, which contradicts the very fact that their nature is eternal.
People who speak about reality are generally not here to convince other people: reality supports itself.
You make predictions and see if your predictions fit with observation, then validation.
US citizens admission is not required to validate that US citizenism is this or that. Their acts do that.
Human nature is unpredictable but when harnessed by US citizenism systemics, suddenly, prediction is possible.
It is what matters. That is where the big topic of interests take root.
Seriously, are you some sort of weird comic? Because you do not make any sense. Or are you drunk and passed out at the keyboard?
Friends don't let friends surf drunk.
Do you play the part of an evil robot on Star Trek?
