Bernamke laughs all the way to the bank after his testimony before congress. Congress honors Bernanke and asks for him to create jobs. Bernanke knows he has a room of suckers when appearing before congress. His sole function is to make the banks wealthier, just the fools in congress don't understand it.
They understand it well enough - do you really think they all get so incredibly wealthy on their Congressional salaries?
