  • *CON ED SAYS UNDERGROUND SUBSTATIONS COULD BE UP IN 3 TO 4 DAYS
  • *CON ED SAYS IT WILL TAKE LONGER TO REPAIR ABOVE GROUND STATIONS
  • *CON ED SAYS IT COULD BE UP TO A WEEK FOR POWER RESTORATION
  • *LARGEST STORM RELATED OUTAGE IN CON ED HISTORY, MIKSAD SAYS

Finally got my USDJPY short to come in.  Still rolling.  Looks like to at least 78.85.  They only added 11T yen to the asset purchase program, instead of the 20T that Parliament wanted.

The European session should be one for the bank.

Best of luck trading, Chump!

What the hell happened on the Nikkei?  Bank of Japan announces even more easing, and the Nikkei flash crashes 150 points into the close??

It was expected that the BoJ was going to add another 20T yen to their asset purchase program (which was also priced in...).  Instead, they "only" added 11T yen.  They were disappointed.

:/

Sell EURUSD to 1.284 and watch for another "Miracle Mouth" to ramp it back.

Holy smokes!  Did you catch the ramp on the EURUSD?  Pump, pump it up.  Got to keep it pumpin'.

These boys are scared.  Real scared.  It may not be very long before they lose control.

Be wary.  Be keen.  Keep your eyes on the prize.

They'll probably follow the playbook strictly: sell it off all session then ramp it into the close.

falak, did you know that New Jersey is called the Garden State and is actually one of the prettiest states in the country?  Rolling hills, trees forever and very fertile land.  Here are some statistics:

New Jersey is a leading producer of fresh fruits and vegetables. Its total farm income was $821 million in 2001. In 2000, New Jersey ranked 3rd in the US in the production of escarole/endive. In 2002, it ranked 3rd in cranberries, 6th in lettuce, 7th in fresh market tomatoes, and 14th overall in fresh market vegetables.

Some 820,000 acres (about 332,000 hectares) were in 9,600 farms in 2002. The major farm counties are: Warren for grain and milk production, Gloucester and Cumberland for fruits and vegetables, Atlantic for blueberries, Burlington for nursery production and berries, Salem for processing vegetables, and Monmouth for nursery and equine.

In 2002, New Jersey produced 290,700 tons of fresh market vegetables. Leading crops (in hundredweight units) were: bell peppers, 962,000; cabbage, 624,000; sweet corn, 791,000; tomatoes, 759,000; and head lettuce, 150,000. New Jersey farmers also produced 56,340 tons of vegetables for processing. Fruit crops in 2002 (in pound units) included apples, 35,000,000, and peaches, 62,000,000. In 2002, cranberry and strawberry production were 43 million and 1.8 million pounds respectively. The expansion of housing and industry has increased the value of farm acreage and buildings in New Jersey to over $8,000 per acre, the highest in the nation.

You can't grow all that stuff on concrete.

Here is the town I used to live in: http://www.visitnj.org/clinton

New Jersey gets a bad rap because of mob ties and the inner city idiots like Snookie.  If you've never been there, you should visit...just stay west of Somerset County and you'll see what I mean.

:D

Lots of bad news...

- Brooklyn Fire/PD dispatch: Coast Guard reports HUNDREDS of people int he water at Ralph and ave L building on fire

- The worst flooding and fires are in south Brooklyn. They have called out multiple alarms and nobody can get to the scenes.

- Update: Levee break floods the New Jersey towns of Moonachie, Little Ferry and Carlstadt with 4 to 5 feet of water, say officials

- Bergen County, New Jersey emergency officials: 75% of town affected after dam broke

Maybe Wall Street can burn to the ground... that would be nice. If some good people can start a fire on Wall Street... do it... the firemen can't get to it... so it will burn to the ground before they can get to it...
