Marc Faber's Asset Protection Plan: "Buy A Machine Gun", No Really, "You're Right, Buy A Tank"

Tyler Durden's picture

Trish Regan and Adam Johnson do their best to hold themselves together in this sublime rant by 'Gloom, Boom & Doom's Marc Faber on Bloomberg TV as he sees Obama's re-election as "very negative for the economy". From his view that the market should be down at least 20% - and maybe 50%, to the implied ignorance of both of the candidates, he believes fervently that the "standards of living of people in the western hemisphere will continue to decline." Faber views Obama's re-election as one of many unintended consequences of market manipulation (since Democrat attacks on the wealthy were 'enabled' by their profiteering from Bernanke's money printing) and sees the need to protect one's assets "with a gun, a machine gun... or perhaps a tank." He concludes with a stunner as he exclaims his view doubting Obama will make it through the whole four-year term because "there will be so many scandals" since "there is so much smoke, there must be some fire!"

The pre-amble is useful and well worth listening to as Faber describes exactly what is occurring in the world...

The good stuff begins around 7:30 as Faber goes Baumgartner... and gives the Bloomberg hosts a taste of reality we suspect they have not heard from their run-of-the-mill portfolio manager sheep guests...

Faber on President Obama’s reelection:

“I am surprised with the reelection of Mr. Obama. The S&P is only down like 30 points. I would have thought that the market on his reelection should be down at least 50%...I think Mr. Obama is a disaster for business and a disaster for the United States. Not that Mr. Romney would be much better, but the Republicans understand the problem of excessive debt better than Mr. Obama who basically doesn't care about piling up debt. You also have in the background Mr. Bernanke, who with artificially low interest rates enables the debt to essentially escalate endlessly.”

Onwhere he sees the equity markets given Obama’s reelection:

“You have offsetting factors. The problem with Mr. Obama is that you get more regulation and it’s disincentive for businessmen to hire people. You probably also get higher taxes, so in terms of the economy, he is very negative in my view. But you still have Mr. Bernanke, and you still have because of money printing very high corporate earnings. They are now coming down, but they are still at the elevated level. You have money printing supporting the market and on the other hand, you have an economic slowdown globally which will affect earnings negatively. It is difficult to tell where the market will go because we have so much manipulation. I think, minimum, it will drop 20%.”

On how investors should protect their assets:

“They should buy themselves a machine gun…I need to buy a tank. Joking aside, look, we have manipulated markets. Whenever you manipulate markets, you will get unintended consequences. i think the reelection is unintended consequence of money printing, that favors the so- called 0.25%. It was easy for the Democrats to attack the wealthy fat cats of Wall Street, the elite, and the privileged people to portray them as a profiteer of the system, which to some extent, they are. Not because they wanted to but because Mr. Bernanke enabled them to be profiteers. We have a situation where you have today Mr. Obama, I doubt he will stay at the presidency for another four years. I think there will be so many scandals, but that’s another story.”

On why he believes Obama won’t make it another four years as president:

“There is so much smoke. I suppose there is some fire. That is my observation. We don't know how the world will look in five years' time. I am pretty sure central banks will continue to print money and the standards of living for people in the western world, not just in America, will continue to decline because the cost of living increases will exceed income. The cost of living will also go up because all kinds of taxes will increase. Like Proposition 30 today in California is of course negative for the Californian economy. That is the state of the world. We have worsening economic conditions, but we have money printing.”

On Speaker Boehner’s comments to Congress today on the fiscal cliff:

“I am sure that they will solve it. They will increase cosmetically some taxes and they will cut cosmetically some spending and it will all be back loaded 10 years from now. So in reality, not much will happen. But the market tends to rally towards year-end, and i think from a low of around 1360, we could have a rally to January, but I think sometime next year will be again lower.”

On whether he sees the U.S. in recession in 2013:

“Yes, I think that if the figures were compiled properly. If nominal GDP was adjusted by a proper price deflator, we would probably already be in recession…But I would like to point out one thing about the economy. GDP is not a very relevant figure. It consists of many different sectors of the economy, so you can have some sectors that are improving like housing and others that are worsening.”

On his dollar and euro positions:

“This is the choice in life. You choose what is less bad. I don't particularly like Mr. Obama, but I think he is less bad for the world than Mr. Romney. It is a tragedy of life that both candidates did not lose the election. They would have deserved both to lose.”

i voted AGAINST odummer

my iq is greater than 50...unlike those high-school drop-outs, illicit drug users = demon-rats.

secondly i am NOT surprisingly shocked that prop #37 failed in CA..I guess those idiots like to buy crap and THEN find out what's in it !!

i'm recycling some words from odummer which pelosi was directed to say regarding odummercares...she said "u gotta buy it to find what's in it.

i guess the idiots in CA want to taste the pesticides and added hormones, antibiotics...they wanna get cancer and THEN find out all about it !! i buy ORGANIC only.

WFM still has the most non-GMO choices in the area I live in.  So, it is the lesser evil for now.  Not to mention, it hasn't exacly been a poor investment in the last few years. I have to admit, it is pretty annoying when their employees say they do not have GMOs.  I usually pull one of the Whole Foods brand vitamin supplements off the shelf and point out all the GMO corn and soy fillers on the label.  That shuts them up.  Difficult to find any pharmeceuticals and vitamin/minerals not full of GMOs.  Some of us don't live in a rural area and are too busy running our businesses to be able to grow our own real organic food, an expensive proposition since you have to filter all the fluoride, chlorine, insecticides, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and other crap out of the water without stripping all the good minerals that plants require.

I've dealt with Whole Foods corporate directly on this issue. They are indeed hypocritical bastards. I am working with those working to get this on the Washington ballot. I told them today that if California is any lesson, the approach must be much much more aggressive. Monsanto will always outspend you. There is plenty of information and science to show how dangerous this stuff is.

When I casually brought up GMOs in conversations, a suprising number of people were under the false perceptions that a GMO was a food that had been modified to add vitamins/minerals to make food more healthy for us, or just to grow a larger volume of produce. The problem with the "Yes on 37" campaign in California is that there was not enough explanation of what a GMO is, nor enough mention of Bt/RoundUp in food or the consequential nutrient depletion of the produce (RoundUp blocks nutrient uptake of plants), the mutated uperweeds/superinsects created by excessive insecticide/pesticide usage, the resultant proposal in front of the FDA to use 2,4-D modified seeds (2,4-D being 46% of Agent Orange), the severe toxification and nutrient depletion of GMO farms' soil, the detrimental impact on honey bees (neo-nicotinoids coat most GMO seeds), horizontal gene transfer proven in several studies as the gene promoter (derived from Cauliflower Mosaic Virus) continues to do its job in the gut of the human/animal consuming it (transferring the genes to your own DNA so that your gut continues to produce it's own Bt).  Eat a GMO = Become a GMO.  If I had the money, I would run a series of short 30-second (or even 15-sec) informative commercials during the 6pm news, during 60 Minutes, during soap operas and shows like Ellen (for the stay-at-home types that watch these), during Letterman/Leno, and during football/baseball/basketball games, particularly the championships.  Raising enough money is the big challenge. As least some of the spots need to be sensationalized a bit (worked for "no" campaign). Show a mother putting a drop of RoundUp into a baby bottle with an eye dropper and ask, "Would you do this to your child?  You are feeding your baby RoundUp in that GMO formula." Add your informative website (which should have a bunch of short facts and studies, bullet point style, with links to more details and actual studies themselves). If you are afraid of being sued by Monsanto, use a generic bottle that looks similar to RoundUp with the word "HERBICIDE" OR "PESTICIDE" in large print (and maybe a skull and crossbones). Most American voters are too occupied with bread (entitlements) and circuses (TV/Hollywood) to bother to research anything themselves and if you can get them to your website, you have to start out with short bullet points to avoid losing the majority with ADD.

Sorry about the run-on sentences.  Spent too much time working with corporate attorneys, writing legal documents and SEC filings earlier in my career.  At least there are a few periods in the paragraph. Once 18 of us sat in a room at the printer arguing about a comma versus a semicolon for almost an hour while working on an S-1.  That was torture.

just got back to your post. good stuff. was thinking similar themes. definitely want to use children as rats analogy throughout the chain of ads.Given the shit causes cancer in rats and that our kids are the first real test tubes.  Was thinking of using classic film analogies for strong images. Want to run a series with the teenage son at the dinner table rattling his monsantoesque executive dad with questions about the issue. At the end of every ad, the kid would corner dad logically and the piece would always end with dad saying "shut up andy and eat" and the kid would pick up his guitar and play....One of the cinematic images would be a shinning / strangelove take where andy keeps scribbling GMO on a piece of paper then he holds it up to the mirror - OMG.  Have family and friends who are very good musicians and would like to write some stuff that would stick. As the music hits, the ad would always run a revolving kill list of ten to twenty hard facts. One key first strike is that their outrageous money campaign is the stongest evidence that they fear the database and will do anything to stop it, proving our campaigns point.

I like the OMG and teenager grilling Dad ideas for their youth appeal. If you can do something that achieves social media coolness for the 18 to 30-something year olds, it might go viral. Make it cool to question GMOs and use a Superbowl attention-grabbing mentality. Cool people would never blindly succumb to being used as guinea pigs and eating poisons just because the industrial corporate complex, government and mega agri-chemical companies say they don't need to know or question what they are being fed (like it worked so well in the past -margarine). Maybe do parodies of some famous Superbowl commercials. Instead of catching the potato chip in her mouth, she can duck them because they are GMO potatos.

Also like the idea of attacking their spending. If GMO food is harmless, why are they so worried that they spend tens of millions to prevent you knowing about it. Also, many of these same companies already have to label GMOs for other countries and it did not drastically increase the cost of foods and make all the poor people starve.

And if you can get some anti-GMO Hollywood and Music celebrities to volunteer for your commercials, you can get the attention of the "bread and circus" crowd.

HEK293 cells are derived from human embryonic kidney cells. They are a workhorse protein expression line that is pretty ubiquitous across the biotech industry, academia, etc. It is not a big deal.

Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells are another similar cell line used for protein expression. It does have an ominous sounding name though, eh?

Modern biotech drugs rely on lines like these to produce therapeutic proteins that closely resemble endogenous proteins so as not to induce an immune response against the drug. Proteins produced in non-eukaryotes lack the glycosylation patterns (i.e. sugar moieties added to proteins) found in humans and can be immunogenic. Put another way, if it is bad to have a drug made in HEK cells, is it any better to have one made in E. coli ? Where do you think these things come from? It is not feasible to make them synthetically at scale.

If you have ever taken or known some one who has taken Enbrel for arthritis, Herceptin for breast cancer, or any other biotech derived protein based drug, know that they came out of cell lines such as these and were subsequently purified away from all of the host proteins, DNA, RNA etc. If you would rather go old school, by all means go for the toxic-to-all-fast-growing-cells chemotherapies for your cancer instead of a modern drug that specifically targets the cancer cells. e.g. compare quality if life on methotrexate vs. Enbrel for RA

I think a more interesting question for the libertarian-minded would be "do we need government to hold our hand or should we be responsible for doing our own due diligence?"

I'm not a fan of companies that make toxin resistant plants and then bomb the fields with herbicides or companies who sue non-GMO farmers down the street because GMO pollen has blown onto their fields and hybridized with their formerly non-GMO crops. californiagirl makes some excellent points.

Not ALL GMO or genetic engineering, recombinent technology, etc. is bad. People need to learn more and judge for themselves. Good luck though given the dismal state of math/science/technology curriculum in the US these days.

The problem with using Human genes for production is the danger of multation of diseases that our immune system can't defend against. What happens when plant diseases become mutate in response to human genes in GMO that jump from the plant kingdom to the animal kingdom?

Then there are GMO projects like Kelbesella planticola, which could have wiped out humanity if a few last minute test hadn't been performed.

Biology is the strongest force on the planet. We play with it much the same way as giving a 10 Mt Nuke to a 12 year boy to go play with. There are many hidden risks and the pressure to produce new solutions without proper research might just kill billions one day.  We allowed Bankers to go invent new financial products, with thousands of quants convinced nothing would go wrong. That didn't turn out very well. Biology is a million times more complex than financial systems and we are applying changes to systems that we don't even fully understand. Once a change is released into the environment it can't be recalled, or destroyed. Once its released, its out there forever and it cannot be deleted. Do you really think that GMO developers are any better at addressing bad code better than computer programmers?

As far as Cancer, probably 1/2 to 2/3 of cases are caused by humans, either because of toxic man-made compounds, the food we eat or unnatural environments we live in that exposes us to made man compounds and processes. Its likely cancer cure is a solution to man-made problems in the first place. Only a small number of people treated with cancer drugs remain cancer free. Most cancer patients cured with drugs redevelop it again 5 to 10 years later, and rarely survive the second battle. The solution is simple to avoid cancer in the first place. Consider people taking drugs to address common issues like diabetes, cholestrial, etc. In most situations, these diseases are caused by poor diet and poor lifestyles. Diebetes use to be a rare disease, now its nearly an epidemic. Yet foods keep on getting loaded with sugar and saturated fats leading to diseases later in life. Most process foods contain manmade compounds (preservatives, emulsifiers, coloring agents, sweeners, etc) and virtuall all of them  should not be consumed in food.

Your first paragraph is all kinds of wrong. If you can give me one example of a plant pathogen that jumped to animals then we can debate this point.

Engineered Klebsiella planticola was destructive to wheat plants. I hardly would claim that it "could have wiped out humanity".

I do agree that once released, a GMO can cause trouble if not researched thoroughly, etc. However, nature is constantly changing on its own and one of these days another pandemic flu (or equivalent) will come along entirely due to natural processes and wreak havoc and widespread death. You have not given me a convincing reason to stop trying to understand biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, pathology, etc. through experimental research. Knowingly ignoring science that points to detrimental consequences in order to profit is wrong (see Vioxx).

I further agree that many cancers and chronic diseases such as diabetes are caused by or exacerbated by environmental factors such and diet and man made substances in the environment. Also by stress and lack of exercise. For some one who develops type 1 diabetes, eschewing insulin can result in a decrease in quality of life and early mortality.

Returning to a theme in my previous post, knowledge is power. There are powerful forces that benefit greatly from a large fraction of the population relying on fast food, processed food, "diet" food, etc. This leads to profits for those that promote and sell "junk" foods. The only entities that benefit if you eat a local, organic diet are small producers. This is not good for shareholder value for the large agribusinesses.

Nothing would please me more to see prevention, nutrition, and other healthy lifestyle choices (exercise, moderation of alcohol, etc.) taught to kids so that they would be empowered to take control of their health.

As a scientist I get touchy when broad brush strokes are used to demonize legitimate research. Biotech is one of those few areas that has been hard to outsource and still represents an area of potential in the US economically. That said, I have witnessed some bloody restructurings in the sector.

Shareholder value at any and all cost, even human health? This is a Gordon Gekko attitude I do not subscribe to.

And since you know of no studies, will attach some links tomorrow. Have some URLs to actual published studies saved on my office computer. Not being a scientist, you can tell me if I am misreading them.

I don't think all recombinant research is bad. However, the mass rollout of new and unproven technology to our world-wide food supply without adequate long-term testing scares the heck out of me because, by the time science and government acknowledge problems, the damage may be irreversible, or require decades to reverse. Remember the bad GMO corn tortilla fiasco several years ago? That corn wasn't even supposed to enter the food system.

HEK, human gelatin, and other human genes of human food are reminiscent of cannibalism and mad cow/hoof-and-mouth disease . It wasn't a good idea for cows. Why should I believe it is a good idea for people without long-term testing?

californiagirl, sorry if the tongue in cheek didn't come through with my "shareholder value" comment. I will try to circle back to this article tonight, but if you are on twitter, you can find me there under the same name and connect.

Personally I tend to favor organic & local foods. They don't always overlap. I'm also building my garden slowly. I avoid processed foods and do most of my own cooking from scratch. Love to cook & eat. Haven't touched a soda in years (save for the occasional mixer). These habits help me avoid many of the dangers present in our food supply. It takes more effort, but is worth it.

Cheers

Must have been tired last night. Clearly saw the tongue-in-cheek today.

Sorry, I don't twitter.  Here are some interesting articles about transgenic Bt that you can start with. Until recently it was thought that DNA ingested as part of food would rapidly be broken down by the stomach juices and digestive enzymes of the gut. Since there have been several studies proving otherwise. In an FSA study conducted at Newcastle University, volunteers (people) were fed one meal comprising of a GMO soy veggie burger and a GMO soy milkshake. DNA uptake by the gut bacteria was found in three of the volunteers after only one GM meal. Glad I don't live in GMO farming country and eat organic whenever possible.

Article about Newcastle Study:  http://www.gmfreeireland.org/resources/documents/science/SA/GM%20researc...

Download this interesting research by typing into google: "horizontal gene transfer of viral inserts citeseerx" and select the first item PDf) that comes up. Couldn't find a direct link that is free.

In another study, Bt DNA (cry1Ab gene) was found in detectable quantities in rivers close to GMO cornfields. About 1% of the initial amount of DNA still survived in the aquatic sediment samples after 40 days. The half life was about a week.  So those consuming the water near GMO fields are likely consuming the Bt transgene. In addition, it seems to survive in the soil and has been found after winter, before planting the next crop.   http://training.fws.gov/EC/Resources/pesticides/GMOs/btk%20transgenic%20...

"Your first paragraph is all kinds of wrong. If you can give me one example of a plant pathogen that jumped to animals then we can debate this point."

I cannot provide an example. However It is unnatural for plants and animals to share genes that are distinct to thier own particular gene pool. To assume that no signicant changes to pathogens can happen because of mixing genes,  would be utterly foolish. Especially when human immune genes are inserted into plants. Most of these modifications are temporary solutions at best because pathogens will adapt to the changes over time (just as antibiotics are slowing losing their affectiveness and probably will be worthless in a few more decades). Its when pathogens adapt to the inserted genes that worries me. At best any GMO attempts for disease resistance will last 50 years before pathogens adapt. Its nothing but a short term fix with long term risks.

I am also concerned when crops include genes which produce pesticides. These pesticides (poisions) enter the food chain. These genes will also jump into other breeds of the same plant species from cross polination. Its utterly stupid to introduce pesticides into food crops. The bugs will eventually adapt to the pesticide, but since new genes will be dispersed it will be impossible to remove it from the environment even after its no longer effective.

Consider that more 90% of all plant adaptions for human benefits (ie Corn, Wheat, potatoes, Tomatos) were achieved without GMO engineering. I see no reason to apply "shortcuts" and create hidden risks when we already have a proven and safe method to reach the desired affects. In some cases using the traditional methods to achive the same results of GMO is cheaper and quicker.

"Engineered Klebsiella planticola was destructive to wheat plants. I hardly would claim that it "could have wiped out humanity".

They stopped testing it when the issue with Wheat was discovered. Its likely that it would have affected a large number of other plant species as well. Lets suppose it was limited to just wheat. Wheat production feeds about 50% of the human population. This would have caused mass starvation and would have caused WW3 as nations went to war to secure resources. The aftermath of a global Nuke war would likely have wiped out 98% of the population. So yes, it could have indeed wiped out humanity.

"As a scientist I get touchy when broad brush strokes are used to demonize legitimate research"

I am not demonizing biological research, but I am deeply concerned how its being applied, Especially when it comes to GMO research which clearly is focused on profits over any long term considerations. Technology and Research isn't inheritely wrong or evil. Its how its applied.

"However, nature is constantly changing on its own and one of these days another pandemic flu (or equivalent) will come along entirely due to natural processes and wreak havoc and widespread death."

Your now jumping from one type of research (medical) from another, trying to link the benefits of one (saving lives) to an another GMO to maximize profits. Please don't do that. Also consider that use of vaccines on livestock (pigs and chickens) to maximize profits is a risk of creating drug resistant flu strains. By the way, the Flu is caused by a man-made process due to farming Pigs in close proximity to poultry and ducks, which is not a really a natural process. It spreads because people are unwilling to wash their hands. Better farming procedures at a small reduction of farming profits would significantly reduce the risks of the flu.

"You have not given me a convincing reason to stop trying to understand biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, pathology, etc."

Again you are trying to defend one type of research with another. I didn't say, nor suggest we must abandoning medical or abandoning all biological research. I questioned the way its beeing applied, because its likely to cause more problems than it solves. For medical research, the majority of research dollars is spend on developing cures for man-made illnesses. Billions to Trillions of dollars are transferred treating man-made disease that can be avoided with proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles. The problem is that there is no profit in educating the public, but there is big profits by taking advantage of thier ignorance.

I disagree that mixing animal & plant genes is always wrong or that flu is a result of farming pigs & poultry together along w/ no washing hands. Frankly I also doubt that eliminating wheat would result in nuke war. Interestingly I went to a talk yesterday that made the case for gluten free (i.e. zero wheat) diet during pregnancy and in early childhood reducing the incidence of diabetes.

I think we fundamentally agree that problems arise as a result of how technology is applied. Ethics and technology do not always progress in lock step for humans. This has other ramifications beyond bioengineering that are disquieting.

Vaccines in livestock do not create drug resistant strains, but widespread prophylactic antibiotic use does. This is a bad thing and should be discouraged. A friend recently went to Europe & had a minor medical issue on the plane. It became evident through his experience with the health system of his host country that they don't have MERSA over there. I have another friend stateside who had a big chunk of is shoulder cut out because he got MERSA here.

Its been a long day for me and I need to retire, but I would be happy to continue discussion. If you look up a post or two you can feel free to get in touch. caligirl suggested some reading.

ETA: you made some very good points in the last paragraph.

Excellent post. From what I have been reading, the process of gene insertion is pretty arbitrary and creates multiple mutations in the DNA. There is no controlling where the GMO gene inserts itself because there is nothing surgical or controlled about it. No long-term testing is required. We have no idea what the effects on our own DNA will be. We are all guinea pigs.

Most of the recombinant work done for research in biotech-land uses very precise mechanismsi (i.e. restriction enzymes). However homologous recombination used in producing GMOs is not precise. I will point out however that DNA sequencing technology has advanced tremendously in recent years and therefore it may be possible to verify insertion points and select clones where the gene has landed in the right spot. I'll have to think about this more as it has been a while since I took that plant molecular biotech class @ Boulder...

The problem is that guns, even tanks, can do practically nothing to protect against weapons of mass destruction. Since the real system is global electronic fiat money frauds, backed by the threat of atomic bombs, when this collapse to chaos finally happens, it will be genocidal wars, and democidal martial, that go utterly off the scale of anything that can practically be prepared for. Human beings holding guns and gold will end up being taken over by robot soldiers, being cranked out by robotic factories, faster than you could shoot them, to prevent them taking over. The longer it takes for the collapses into chaos to happen, the worse will that situation finally become, by the time that happens. More importantly, when that finally happens, the chain of command over those robotic enforcers will fracture, and that is when things will get really interesting!

It's not just weed paranoia, guys.

"Disposition" by "signature strike" is the Newspeak term for legalized random murder by the puppetmasters' soulless robotic henchmen (in this case, drones instead of cops).  Drone missions are now determined by statistical algos at the NSA.  Citizens can be targeted too.  Thanks to executive orders from the Traitor in Chief, it's all perfectly Constitutional and is forgiven if he says three Hail 9/11's.

http://www.chris-floyd.com/component/content/article/1-latest-news/2291-welcome-to-the-age-of-hell-entrenching-murder-as-the-american-way.html

The latest drones can be mistaken for insects.  Some have stingers.  Some can detect banned chemicals.  Before long, they will be very cheap to produce.

Here you go.  Buy em since it is one asset class that seems to have never dropped in value - from the ATF web site:

Q: How can an individual legally acquire NFA firearms?

Basically, there are 2 ways that an individual (who is not prohibited by Federal, State, or local law from receiving or possessing firearms) may legally acquire NFA firearms:

  1. By transfer after approval by ATF of a registered weapon from its lawful owner residing in the same State as the transferee.
  2. By obtaining prior approval from ATF to make NFA firearms.

[27 CFR 479.62-66 and 479.84-86]

Q: What is the tax on making an NFA firearm?

The tax is $200 for making any NFA firearm, including “any other weapon.”

Q: How is this tax paid?

A money order or check made payable to the Bureau of ATF together with the application forms are to be mailed to the Bureau of ATF, NFA Branch.

What many of us underestimate is the ability of TPTB to change the rules, rig the system in clever new ways, and the willingness of the general population to swallow whatever story they're fed by the TeeVee.

http://www.westernjournalism.com/obama-administration-facing-massive-federal-lawsuit/

A lawsuit seeking the return of $43 trillion (with a “t”) and an audit of all the TARP programs by an independent receiver has been filed against senior members of the Obama Administration and the New York group known as the “Banksters”.

The Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch is reporting that the Spire Law Group, LLP has moved its mass tort action into the federal court in Brooklyn, New York. In this District Court lawsuit (Case No. 12-cv-04269-JBW-RML), the Spire Law Group, LLP is acting on the behalf of homeowners across the country seeking to halt all foreclosures nationwide until the return of the $43 trillion.

The independent audit the lawsuit is seeking of the TARP Program stems from a report by the former Inspector General of the bailout program, Neil Barofsky, who is countering the claims made by President Obama both publicly and privately to Congress that the money has been paid back. Mr. Barofsky asserts that none of the money advanced by the Treasury has ever been paid back by the recipients of the program.

The Plaintiffs have established the location of the $43 trillion of laundered money in a criminal racketeering enterprise participated in by the following individuals:

Eric Holder

Tony West

Kamala Harris

Jon Corzine

Robert Rubin

Timothy Geitner

Vikram Pandit

Valerie Jarrett

Anita Dunn

Robert Baueras

The lawsuit alleges that theO bama Administration actively borrowed money from these “Banksters” to fund his political campaign in this 2012 Election and has not pursued any criminal charges against them

The lawsuit also claims multiple violations of the United States Patriot Act, along with the Policy of Embargo Against Iran and Countries Hostile to the Foreign Policy of the United States, and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and other State and Federal laws by the Obama Administration.

A win is a win is a win. Lots of bad stuff is percolating below the surface, and lots of big cans were kicked past election day. The same thing happened in 2004. Obama's second term could easily end up more disastrous than Bush's 2nd term, but so what? He still gets to play Commander in Chief for 4 more years.

This Wall Street Journal site is awesome.

Strongholds of the Republicans

Areas that actually "work" and produce, are massively Romney. They in fact "are building that".

Strongholds of the Dems

Old school areas on large bodies of water. They are still living on past glory, looking for modern day handouts on the shoulders of our grandchildren.
Hard hit areas from oil spills, hurricanes, are quite a bit Dem, looking for handouts. Looking for Big Bro to save them.
Areas with lots of immigrants.

Pretty simple really.

The black outline ones here are the counties that Obama won, very few geographically, but high density for electoral votes. The blue shaded area have become "more democratic voting" since 2008

Below are the counties that Romney won, sheesh, anyone looking at this would say why is he not the president!

Don't hate me until you check out the charts

The Electoral College totally just isn't fair enough.  Like every state should just get one vote each.

Either CA and FL and NY and TX would Balkanize, or the cities would fall. If nothing else, at least third parties could suddenly become MAJOR regional players.  Some folks might even have the opportunity to "Vote Crip!" or whatever.

Doesn't that sound win-win(/win)?  The obvious strengths inherent to European uh... legislative diversity... will serve everyone so well when unleashed upon unsuspecting 'Merkins.

maybe some other country can adopt them.

Our fence should be electric, 50,000VA.

You don't get to those positions usually without someone already having a complete file on you with the bedroom shot etc. Think The Firm with Tom Cruise.

Most are bought like in The Distingushed Gentleman / Eddy Murphy.

And yes The Mafia is a better framework to use.

It doesn't matter to the store owner(You) whether it's the Gambino's or the Genevieve's, If you don't pay or get out of line you get your legs get broke
(Or your kids get their necks slit, But that's a different story)

In that parlance, you don't get to that level without being owned.

I wholeheartedly agree that everyone above the rank of junior politician is compromised, bought, and paid for. On the flip side, millions of current and former military men and women are not "owned" and are keenly aware of what's going on. For years they have been watching... remembering... and preparing to strike.

Obama has been a good little stooge of those who are the real power in America (the ultra wealthy).

Let's see if he martyrs himself and tries to go against the flow this time around.  I strongly doubt it - zero upside - massive downside (ask JFK...)  - who wants to be the 'boy who didn't play ball' and a pariah ...  better to be revered like Clinton and Reagan... two other stooge assholes.

We'll get more of the same from obama - because even if he wan't to make changes he'd not be allowed to.

We are deep inside the gut of a crony capitalist monstrosity

Dysfunctional water boy George Soros whose own father sent him to a Nazi so the boy could live (understandble, not criticising the father) chose Obama to put a nice smiley face on the Socialist Internationale which Soros believes and funds.

The un-Democrats replaced the Communist Party of America which disbanded when its leaders said that they no longer needed to exist because the 'Democratic Party' had adopted their agenda.

It is a very grave danger to the Republic that war-torn psychos of the early 20th century dominate U.S. politics and finance.
