Obama's Victory Is Very Bullish For This Google Search Query

Tyler Durden's picture

The query in question? "Renounce Citizenship"

Simon Black's always interesting insights on this 'event' can be found here.

Perhaps the geographical dispersion of those searches will be insightful, if rather paradoxical...

And by targeted MSA:

And as a bonus, another search query just hit a record: Remington 223

I would tell the TSA dude to be careful I fart really badly when you touch my asshole and I ate a lot of mexican food last night

edifice's picture

I would be careful... They'll disappear you on "bioterrorism" charges.

SheepDog-One's picture

Sell paper stawks, buy .223!

MachoMan's picture

I would get m855 or a 5.56 round before .223....

One step at a time for me.  With the Dems obtaining or about to obtain a super majority in the CA assembly, my search was,

Brookings, OR

Charles Bishop Weyland's picture

Chickenshits. SERIOUSLY? what--you think you can disappear? the NSA can find ANYONE. why do you think i went ORBITAL?

Fucking noobs.

Poetic injustice's picture

Right right, open your cheeks wider when officer orders you to do so.

Even "Top 10 criminals" list is refreshing somewhat slowly, and you are talking about small person without criminal record, just wandering in mountains or similar areas with low population density.

And what about persons who disappear, why government/NSA hasn't found them being so omnipotient?

LMAO -- And I just bought more rifles -- I really need a tank!

I renounce my throne!  I am no longer the King of Zamunda!!!

Dr.Vannostrand's picture

Ahh, back when Eddie was funny.

booboo's picture

On renouncing ones citizenship.

Stick around you pussies, I mean you were part of the problem by thinking the government was there to "secure the blessings of LIBERTY" knowing full well they were doing the opposite so now you can be part of the solution.

tmosley's picture

Would you have stayed and fought in Nazi Germany?

Fuck that.

Poetic injustice's picture

Especially when government makes clear that they don't like your nose/whatever else.
Then staying is more risky option every day.

Lmo Mutton's picture

Renounce citizenship=

Fuckin pussies

tmosley's picture

You clearly don't have a family.  Or you don't much care about them.

booboo's picture

Sure I do and I didn't raise no pussies. You leaving a few family members behind to fight your battles? "You don't much care about them?"and when it's cleaned up are you coming back?

Totin's picture

Not much chance that the disease of Liberalism will be cleaned up in our lifetime. The indoctrination of Generation Z is nearly complete. By 2016 the Constitution will be a meaningless piece of paper. This country won't even remotely resemble what the Founding Fathers had in mind. The idea of coming back to a country that has been "cleaned up" will be nothing more than a dream that old men have.

Grinder74's picture

Kind of prefer that to fucking asses--unlike King Barry.

socalbeach's picture

Chill out people. This article says they searched for the term on Google, not that they've done or are going to do anything. Prudence requires one to consider all options.

(Once these people realize they will not be eligible for a free ObamaPhone, I'm sure they'll stay.)

Aegelis's picture

Buying your citizenship!  Don't renounce it, make a quick dollar from me and I can use your citizenship to vote in addition to mine for the next election.  It won't go to waste on a D or an R.  Send message for details.  Safe deportation and all the best.

alagon's picture

I'm pretty sure Friedman predicted that this would happen. He said that if the government raises taxes on the wealthy, then the wealthy will just leave. Econ 101, bitches. Human beings respond to incentives.

akak's picture

What I want to know is, when is AnAnnoyingUs going to renounce 'citizenism'?

Poetic injustice's picture

You clearly hate him for his dumpster diving and great work ar Foxconn factory.
P.S. I hope he never comes back, he was too repetitive and boring.

Cole Younger's picture

They don't let you leeave unless you are in a foreign ccountry..

NotApplicable's picture

Well, given that countries are political abstractions, I've never been "in" one my whole entire life. Not even once (not really into hallucinogenics).

Instead all I see are crazy, occasionally armed people who call themselves "the state."

There are waiting listings of up to a year for appointments to renouce in some locations around the world.

Sensaional people make me laugh.  Like all those that claimed they'd kill themselves if Obama won, yet they are still alive.

I wonder which other country offers comparably low tax rates while guaranteeing a high level of national security, infrastructure, basic healthcare, education, access to a huge homogenous market, low legal obstacles of doing business, a rational legal system.

Having a choice, means having to compare altervatives...

How much extra legal cost bahrain is, if you step on the wrong guy's shoe? Or what kind of business you can start in monte carlo, apart from a yachting school or a casino.

Until someone drives a Keynesian stake through the heart of the fear mongering deficit hawks, they will keep returning from their graves to haunt us. The American voters have spoken and they couldn't have been clearer:

Deficit reduction was the top priority of 15% while economic and job growth was most important for 60%. Hopefully Pres. Obama got the message.

  • http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/08/deficit-hawks-down-please/ Don't you get it? We need to raise taxes when we're talking revenue, but we can print money forever when we're talking funding the wars and buying craptacular mortgage bundles off bank balance sheets. Don't you fucking rubes get it?"????

Gotta love a person who shows a negative interest rate on a TIP as an example of a crisis NOT happening.

To the "no more biggerer goverment" folks, you're sounding as mentally deficient as "let's move to Canada/Australia to escape socialism" folks.

Read more ZeroHedge or you're not paying attention.

I think we just need a fearless champion who can lead the Homeland back to glory - back to the days before the foreigners corrupted it, back to the days when all were united as a single, proud, glorious people.

    Flakmeister's picture

I do believe you are trolling...

A little out of character, p'rhaps?

    Spastica Rex's picture

    Yeah. Point taken.

I've let all this post football defeat angst get to me.

I'll be happy when it's over. I really hate football.

Serious question - where would they go?

    I know we're in trouble...

I know things have to get worse before they get better in any sustainable manner...

I just don't see any really good, realistic options for anyone seriously considering jumping ship.

That said, I will take this opportunity to repeat one of the crazy, off the wall predictions I've been making for a couple of years now:

At least one U.S. state will try to secede before the end of this decade.

I'm not saying it's a good idea...but I really think there is a good chance of it before this is all said and done.

Antarctica is pretty undeveloped. I don't know how business friendly the local governments are, though.
