Mayan Apocalypse Technical Analysis
If the Mayans are correct, the world has just over a week before it goes poof. But, the hard-core chartists will say, is there any technical analysis suggestion they may be right? Let's take a look: the chart below shows all the 450 MunichRe-documented natural disasters that have taken place in the first half of the year, running at at annualized pace of a near record-setting 900 in 2012 alone. Is this enough to set off the most terminal selling event in the history of the world in 8 short days? You decide.

But just in case...meet me at the life arks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UylcJlVb5-E
1. the Mayans did not predict world catastrophe. All that is happening is that their calendar is resetting like ours did on Jan 1, 2000.
2. the Maya are NOT EXTINCT. They are citizens of Mexico and Guatemala and other nations.
3. People are gullible. The millions of fools buying in to this hyped up bullshit means nothing other than that there are millions of gullible fools.
If it all ends, at least we won't have to hear the words "fiscal cliff" anymore.
And yet there's still ~6 Billion people walking around...
Human Race: 1
Natural Catastrophes: 0
Off topic: Are there really 6 or 7 Billion people on Earth? Or is it just double accounting by various countries, so that when someone immigrates to a new country, the old country still counts that person as theirs?
Yeah, to really foul things up will require a HUMAN catastrophe. Shall we play a game of thermonuclear war?
You might have thought I was gonna play the AGW card...but that will take too long.
Plus we seem due for a pandemic.
Read the Third Pandemic.
Interesing thriller.
Of course, the end of a calendar period implies the end of the world... the end of a day, week, month, year, decade, century, millenium, etc...
The calendar on my desk ends on December 31st. I believe we have enough evidence here based on calendars to concretely declare, December is the last month...ever.
I wonder if we could chart these disasters into a candlestick chart and recognize some sort of pattern, rather it be the kiss of death with moving averages, a parabolic run up or something else like a 3 wave pattern? To me if it's a wave pattern I think we're at least in a high subset of b.
What BS. The Mayans never said the world would go poof. They think cyclically. They were not linear thinkers like us. The last long count cycle ended a little over 5,000 years ago. Did the world end? NO. Did the world as they knew it then end. Yes. Check the records of mass global flooding. I'm a prepper, go ahead with the thumbs down. I can take it. I'm prepared. ;-)
some are convinced, others need more evidence and then there are some who will never be persuaded. Blessed are those who believe without having seen.
not that the world is ending, but that something BIG is happening...
Ok. Gonna be really annoying here. Where did this chart come from? Its missing serious amounts of data. Christchurch New Zealand has been having Earthquakes constantly all year and there is not a single Earthquake event on it!!!!
Uhm Oh,,, Ok Guys
-I just found a "Rawk" with some Rightings on it and it has dates and shit on it, but it beCums unclear at the end...uhmm coz the date-oh seems to be smothered out , but yeah its kinda looks like a "Im busy Gotta Go Scedule" @ december ISH 2012, Now what am i supposed to do? Give up all to the State, or do i Use my own conviction and give a fuKK?
Please be Kind.

The Mayans didn't predict anything. Their work was hijacked by the usual cranks!
FUCK, IM SICK OF THIS SHIT. Dammit Tyler, don't contribute to this BS.
The Mayans did NOT predict the end of the world.
The Maya also believed in cycles, beginnings and ends, so being astronomers/philosophers and saying they couldn't predict their own end as a complex civilization is completely idiotic. Nothing lasts forever and they knew it and know it today as they still exist.
Unlike some of our current 'leaders' who see lining their pockets linearly/exponentially and continue to kick the can down the road pretending everything will be ok.
It's amazing some here can be so intelligent but completely ignorant of past civilizations and societies, repeating mantras of the simple minded and joining the 12-21-12 insanity.
Climate change explains a ton of those :(
As for the Mayans, they obviously never made any of the claims those crazies subscribe to...
