Newtown, CT Elementary School Shooting Tally Rises To 27 Dead, Of Whom 20 Children - Live Video

Tyler Durden's picture

Update 4: the NYT has released a brief biopic on Lanza's, who it turns out had Asperger's Syndrome:

He carried a black briefcase to his 10th-grade honors English class, and sat near the door so he could readily slip in and out. When called upon, he was intelligent, but nervous and fidgety, spitting his words out, as if having to speak up were painful.

Pale, tall and scrawny, Adam Lanza walked through high school in Newtown, Conn., with his hands glued to his sides, the pens in the pocket of his short-sleeve, button-down shirts among the few things that his classmates recalled about him.

He did all he could to avoid attention, it seemed.

Until Friday.

The authorities said Mr. Lanza, 20, wearing combat gear, carried out one of the deadliest mass shootings in the nation’s history. He killed 20 children and six adults at the elementary school where his mother worked, they said. He then apparently turned his gun on himself. The police said he also earlier killed his mother.

In his brief adulthood, Mr. Lanza had left few footprints, electronic or otherwise. He apparently had no Facebook page, unlike his older brother, Ryan, a Hoboken, N.J., resident who for several hours on Friday was misidentified in news reports as the perpetrator of the massacre.

Adam Lanza did not even appear in his high school yearbook, that of the class of 2010. His spot on the page said, “Camera shy.” Others who graduated that year said they did not believe he had finished school.

Matt Baier, now a junior at the University of Connecticut, and other high school classmates recalled how deeply uncomfortable Mr. Lanza was in social situations.

Several said in separate interviews that it was their understanding that he had a developmental disorder. They said they had been told that the disorder was Asperger syndrome, which is considered to be a high functioning form of autism.

“It’s not like people picked on him for it,” Mr. Baier said. “From what I saw, people just let him be and that was that.”

One former classmate who said he was familiar with the disorder described Mr. Lanza as having “very flat affect,” adding, “If you looked at him, you couldn’t see any emotions going through his head.”

Others said Mr. Lanza’s evident discomfort prompted giggles from those who did not understand him.

Law enforcement officials said Friday that they were closely examining whether Mr. Lanza had such a disorder.

More here. Indeed, there is a statistical predisposition, at least anecdotally, for those with Asperger's toward both murder and violence.  In other words, watch as the debate rages over the traditional bogeyman of gun control, in a country with over three hundred million weapons, when we may well simply be talking about a mentally ill young adult.

As for the misidentified Ryan, who for a few brief hours was presented by law enforcement as the suspected shoorter, we learn from the WSJ:

Israel raids Palestinian NGO officesKatie Colaneri, a 24-year-old resident of Hoboken, N.J., described herself as a friend of Ryan, the suspect’s brother who for hours Friday was incorrectly identified as the alleged gunman. “He [is] a little shy, but very nice and sweet,” said Ms. Colaneri, who has known Ryan for over a year.

She said Ryan is a gentle guy who was  devoted to his job at the Ernst & Young accounting firm. A representative for Ernst & Young would not comment on his employment status.

A law-enforcement official briefed on the investigation told the Associated Press that Ryan has been “extremely co-operative” and is not under arrest, although he was still being question late Friday.

The official said Ryan’s computers and phone records were being searched but only “in an abundance of caution.” Ryan told authorities he had not been in touch with his brother Adam in recent years, and the official said he isn’t believed to have any connection to the school killings.

In Hoboken, Ryan lives in a newer building that was hard-hit by superstorm Sandy, Ms. Colaneri said. He lost power for a number of days following the storm.

The last time she saw him, about a month ago, Ms. Colaneri recalled that Ryan ran up to her and gave her a hug.  ”I’m really shocked,” she said. “As the details unfolded, I was totally devastated.”

Update 3: ABC has released a picture of the real shooter, Adam Lanza, taken in 2005 when he was ~13 years old.

Update 2 : NY Post now refuting CNN's initial report, and stating that the shooter's real name is Adam Lanza, not Ryan Lanza, who is instead brother of the latter. At this point there appears to be a ridiculous amount of confusion who did what, so it perhaps would be prudent on behalf of the authorities to double check this information before releasing it to the media. And just out from AP:

The AP confirms this further here:

The suspect in the Connecticut school shootings is Adam Lanza, 20, the son of a teacher at the school where the shootings occurred, a law enforcement official said Friday. A second law enforcement official says the boy's mother, Nancy Lanza, is presumed dead.

Adam Lanza's older brother, Ryan, 24, of Hoboken, N.J., is being questioned by police, said the first official. Earlier, a law enforcement official mistakenly transposed the brothers' first names.

Both officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record about the developing criminal investigation.

The first official said Adam Lanza is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the second official, the suspect drove to the scene of the shootings in his mother's car. Three guns were found at the scene — a Glock and a Sig Sauer, both pistols — and a .223-caliber rifle. The rifle was recovered from the back of a car at the school. The two pistols were recovered from inside the school.

The official also said Lanza's girlfriend and another friend are missing in New Jersey.

Meanwhile, former Jersey Journal staff writer Brett Wilshe said he has spoken with Ryan Lanza of Hoboken, who told Wilshe the shooter may have had Ryan Lanza's identification.

Ryan Lanza has a Facebook page that posted updates Friday afternoon that read that "it wasn't me" and "I was at work."

Update: According to CNN the shooter's name is Ryan Lanza, out of New Jersey. Based on a White Pages reverse lookup there is an 18-24 year old Ryan Lanza living in Hoboken, NJ whose FaceBook profile lists Newtown, CT as his home city. Whether it is the same person remains to be confirmed officially.

Sadly, increasingly it appears that not a day, and certainly not a week can pass, in the US without news of some mass killing somewhere. Several days ago its was a mall in Oregon, and today it is a shooting rampage at the Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. Here is what is known: the shooter, who CBS reports is a 20 year old from New Jersey, is reported to be dead. A second shooting suspect, a 24 year old man with a bulletproof vest and 4 guns has been apprehended in custody (this has subsequently been not confirmed). According to CBS 27 people are dead, of whom 18, Connecticut Post 27 people are dead, of whom 20 tragically, children. Among the dead are the principal and the school psychologist. The AP has already dubbed it "the worst school tragedy in American history."

More from Reuters:

At least 27 people, including 18 children, were killed on Friday when at least one shooter opened fire at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, CBS News reported, citing unnamed officials.

If confirmed, it would be one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history. The holiday season tragedy follows a series of shooting rampages in the United States this year that have killed multiple victims, and it was certain to revive a debate about U.S. gun laws.

The principal and school psychologist were among the dead, CNN said. Witnesses reported hearing dozens of shots with some saying as many as 100 were fired.

The suspected shooter, 24, was armed with four weapons and wearing a bullet-proof vest, WABC reported.

There were unconfirmed reports of a second shooter.

Another person was being held in police custody after he was detained in the woods near the school wearing camouflage pants, CBS reported.

Sandy Hook Elementary School teaches children from kindergarten through fourth grade - roughly ages 5 to 10.

"It was horrendous," said parent Brenda Lebinski, who rushed to the school where her daughter is in the third grade. "Everyone was in hysterics - parents, students. There were kids coming out of the school bloodied. I don't know if they were shot, but they were bloodied."

Television images showed police and ambulances at the scene, and parents rushing toward the school. Parents were seen reuniting with their children and taking them home.

"This is going to be bad," a state official told Reuters, requesting anonymity because the scope of the tragedy remained uncertain.

President Barack Obama was notified and would receive regular updates throughout the day, White House spokesman Jay Carney said.

"We're still waiting for more information about the incident in Connecticut," Carney said when asked about the president's reaction to it.

Carney called the event "tragic" and said there would be time later for a discussion of policy implications.

Obama remains committed to trying to renew a ban on assault weapons, Carney said.

All Newtown schools were placed in lockdown after the shooting, the Newtown Public School District said.

Lebinski said a mother who was at the school during the shooting told her a "masked man" entered the principal's office and may have shot the principal. Lebinski, who is friends with the mother who was at the school, said the principal was "severely injured."

Lebinski's daughter's teacher "immediately locked the door to the classroom and put all the kids in the corner of the room."

Danbury Hospital, about 11 miles (18 km) west of the school, had received three patients from the scene, a hospital spokeswoman told NBC Connecticut. The mayor of Danbury, Mark Boughton, told MSNBC: "They are very serious injuries."

An early report from CBS:

A shooting at a Connecticut elementary school Friday left several children and the gunman dead, law enforcement sources tell CBS News. At least one teacher was wounded in the shooting that sent frightened pupils into the parking lot.

It is unclear if there was more than one gunman at the school.

Law enforcement sources told CBS News senior correspondent John Miller that preliminary and unconfirmed information indicates that the shooter was the father of a student.

The shooter was killed and apparently had two guns, a person with knowledge of the shooting told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was still under way.

It wasn't clear how many people were injured at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. CBS Hartford affiliate WFSB-TV reports around 600 students attend the school.

Connecticut State Police spokesman Lt. Paul Vance described the situation to CBS New York station WCBS-AM as a "very serious school shooting."

A dispatcher at the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps said a teacher had been shot in the foot and taken to Danbury Hospital.

Stephen Delgiadice said his 8-year-old daughter heard two big bangs and teachers told her to get in a corner. His daughter was fine.

"It's alarming, especially in Newtown, Connecticut, which we always thought was the safest place in America," he said.

Lisa Bailey, a Newtown resident with three children in Newtown schools, told CBSNewYork.com, "Newtown is a quiet town. I'd never expect this to happen here. It's so scary. Your kids are not safe anywhere."

The superintendent's office said the district had locked down schools in Newtown, about 60 miles northeast of New York City. Schools in neighboring towns also were locked down as a precaution.

State police said Newtown police called them around 9:40 a.m.

Well said, but certainly not boring. If these mother fuckers are found responsible for this outrage it is time to get really gangnam style pissed off. I'm looking into finding out more about the shooters through the Freedom of Information Act. It is really, really convenient the shooters happened to commit suicide after.

Problem is it can lead to more mass slaughter like this one.

'Americans' live in a world of fantasy. If they start thinking that some non Palestinian kids are Palestinians, they might as well start pulling the trigger to do what 'americans' do to Palestinian kids.

Was the kid put on ADD drugs as a child? Was he on any antidepressants in the past few years? I am convinced that the brain altering drugs claimed to treat "depression" were actually created to produce psychotic episodes like what we have just witnessed. Can there be any doubt anymore that these shootings have all started to happen as the most medicated generation of children in history reached adulthood?

The drug companies and the everything is permissible liberal crowd is responsible for the massive increase in mass shootings. The tragedies aren't happening in cities that could be considered bastions of conservatism.

Obama himself is responsible for advocating a philosophy that can only end in death and destruction. Instead of banning guns maybe we should ban mind altering drugs created by big pharma, and hold the CEOs of every drug company responsible and execute them for the crime of mass murder.

The shooter was only 20 years old. The guns were registered in the name of his mother, a kindergarten teacher. He killed her first, then massacred children at the school where she taught.

There is a terrible attempt by venal politicians to use this massacre to promote their own shameless profitable agenda including drugging children at the behest of big pharma and ending the Constitutional right to bear arms as a protection against oppressive central government of any hue or name.

The war in Afghanistan is about getting  the poppy fields, heroin. DC political pets want the money, anyway they can get it. See that whore Bill Clinton and boy Bush as examples.

"Sambo" is a pretty racist term, in case you did not know. Peace is good, that's why they call guns peacemakers.

Say "no" to anti-Constitutionalist, gun grabbing, brain-damaged fascists like Obama's buddy, Harry Belafonte, who just said: "Obama needs to throw all his opposition in prison, like a third world dictator."  This is the real reason for the second amendment and why we have it. 100 million died in Russia and China under such collectivists who grabbed guns so they could murder any opposition.  Bill Ayers (Obama's buddy) has already said murdering 25 million Americans would needed if they could not be "re-educated" under marxism.

The root cause of these incidents is not the gun. The root cause is that we as a people have lost all respect for one another. We have been stripped of our natural ways of policing ourselves, such as physically beating bullies, outcasting rapists and thieves, even just DISCUSSING certain topics such as race, we have descended in to a "politically correct" discourse and now trust our government to take care of all of this for us. This is not going to change, these values have been lost through time and we have let them die by allowing the government handle these inconveniences for us, to save us the discomfort of doing it ourselves.

We are done, financial collapse will just exacerbate, not exonerate what we have let ourselves become.

The state has taken over the role of family.  The nuclear family is no longer relevant.  Bring a father onto the scene and you will lose your benefits.  Family services and the school system will raise your child.  If he acts out, he will be diagnosed as emotionally handicapped.  Should you opt for corporal punishment, then you are abusing your child because he is handicapped and you will be put on the child abuse register.  When he comes of age, he will be looked after by the criminal justice system.  If your child is a girl, then she should be introduced to the breeder program as soon as possible.  This will increase your subsidies.  Not to worry.  She will be taught everything she needs to know in her sex ed classes.  All her prenatal and delivery expenses will be covered by the system.  After she has delivered, teachers will be dispatched to privately tutor her while she is on homebound.  When she returns to school, she will be treated like a rock star and her baby will be placed in the school run day care.  Best of all she and her child will be introduced to the system and become entitled to life long subsidies.

All charity is to be managed by the state.  Churches are irrelevant.  They are nothing more than gatherings of primitives who worship a higher power.  Everyone knows there is no higher power than the state. The state sees these gatherings suspicious especially if they are predominantly white and attended by veterans.

Horrible.... but lets not get emotional and hasty.  Remember Harry Belafonte, just this week said: "Obama needs to throw all the opposition in jail, like a third world dictator."

Some facts and perspective: In 1980, prison murders across USA were 1000% higher than public -- 50 per 100K, instead of 5.  And that is with intense 24/7 strip searches, surveillance, armed guards, pat downs, and lock downs. Prison murders are now down to "only" 5 per 100k because they separate the gangs. But point remains, you still can't stop murder by grabbing all the guns, even with a suffocating police state or putting everyone in jail.

These are Obamaphiles, blue people in blue states, doing these crazy things. It's called 'going postal' for a reason. Blue MSA's (e.g., Detroit, NOLA, DC, Chicago, Memphis,*) skew the national rate higher and have much higher homicide rates than the red team areas where the homicide rates mirror Canada and Western Europe.

East St. Louis, a deep blue area, now has one of the highest murder rate in the Western Hemisphere. Vermont has the lowest homicide rate and has the most lax guns laws in the country. I'm sure astute persons will figure out the correlation.

*Tuscon is a blue area, Jared Loughner was a crazy skull-worshipping pothead who went thru high school at one of Ayres/Obama's little nutty Annenberg schools. Coincidence I'm sure, but much better connection than anything to due with websites and images of 'crosshairs'.

It was later reported that Three Dollar Bill was seen laughing in the Presidential Limo immediately after the eulogy. I wonder if Obama was laughing as soon as the cameras were shut off?

And BTW the first guy I heard call in on a radio talk show from the local in Conn. said his sources at the school reported TWO shooters who gained entry onto the facility dressed as nuns... In the Batman theater shootings smoke canisters were reported being thrown from both sides of the theater at the same time. And one guy went to the emergency door and let another guy in… In the Sikh Temple shooting carloads of cops in unmarked cars were reported cruising the parking lot the morning before the slaughter…  It’s always the same. And you won’t read about it in the syndicate controlled media.

Congress isn’t going to take the guns but the executive branch is going to do an end run… watch them try it!

25% of American females are on cognitive effective drugs [aka all of the above, plus a whole lot more]

Now, does this say:

1) ALL THE FEMALES ARE LIKE INSANITY BITCHES, BRO!!

2) 25% of American females hate their lives, hate their society and hate life enough not to breed

3) American males are now so disgustingly retarded that American females have to self-medicate just to breed with them

Oh, we can parse this out more, but bottom line: Apart from the "browns", "illegal aliens" and so on, the whities ain't breeding no more.

Couldn't possibly be anything to do with your society, could it? Naaaaah, go find a Mormon already, they breed young, early, without any science and keeping them ignorant.

All these recent shooters are mentally ill, or at least disturbed. We cleaned out the mental institutions 40-50 years ago, and now they wander the streets.

Add to that the very deliberate PC propaganda that mentally ill people are no more violent than the general population. This is a lie, and a check of the numbers refutes it. While most mental conditions are not associated with violence, certain one are: paranoia, paranoid schizophrenia, and certain personality disorders. Then there's the role of psychiatric drugs, their use and misuse (Columbine). These facts are well-known to criminologists and forensic psychiatrists.

I've been to Switzerland and Israel, where gun ownership is both widespread and highly regulated, like what you have to do in the police or army to keep track of weapons and ammunition. It's like owning a car or getting prescription drugs. But needless to say, those countries haven't let their mentally ill loose on the streets and such people can't get firearms to begin with.

OTOH, mass shootings have happened in Scandinavia, Holland, and Canada, which went through the same revolution of emptying out the institutions, like the US.

This might be a good time to discuss how eroded our society has become with extremely violent video games, in primetime network tv and certainly in most paid tv.

IMHO this is what needs to be targeted for review first before even considering any limitations on guns.  I don't see why civilians should hold automatic weapons.

Another facet of this is psychotropic drugs which are in wide use, instead of actually treatment.

Also we should consider this all occurs with the backdrop of the U.S. Government killing Men, Women, and Children in our wars and assassination campaigns across the world.  The U.S. Government has certainly killed more children in the name of "liberty" (/sarc) than any of these potential manchurian candidates, or merely sick puppies.

How The CIA Trained Shooter In Connecticut! Shooting Tied To European Court Ruling Against The CIA! Friday, December 14, 2012 12:06  Share0 0

(Before It's News)

By now, all of America has heard about the shocking school shooting in Connecticut; what most Americans have not yet realized is that this shooting is another ‘false flag’ event designed by the CIA and the SADISTIC criminals within the United States government to institute TOTAL CONTROL over the masses. Yes, this shooting is another shocking example of exactly how EVIL these people are; the mere fact that they would MASSACRE school children to achieve their goals of the disarmament of the American public is absolutely attrocious. These people MUST be stopped at all costs! It is not a coincidence that this has occurred the same day that a European Court has handed down a ruling against the CIA, labeling them as torturers and condemning extraordinary rendtion. Freedom in America and therefore the entire world will not survive as long as these EVIL henchmen are permitted to continue to implement their agenda. From Wikipedia: Project MKUltra was the code name for a covert research operation experimenting in the behavioral engineering of humans through the CIA’s Scientific Intelligence Division. The program began in the early 1950s, was officially sanctioned in 1953, was reduced in scope in 1964, further curtailed in 1967 and officially halted in 1973.[1] The program engaged in many illegal activities[2][3][4]; in particular it used unwitting U.S. and Canadian citizens as its test subjects, which led to controversy regarding its legitimacy.[5][6][7][8] MKUltra involved the use of many methodologies to manipulate people’s individual mental states and alter brain functions, including the surreptitious administration of drugs (especially LSD) and other chemicals, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse, as well as various forms of torture.[9] The scope of Project MKUltra was broad, with research undertaken at 80 institutions, including 44 colleges and universities, as well as hospitals, prisons and pharmaceutical companies.[10] The CIA operated through these institutions using front organizations, although sometimes top officials at these institutions were aware of the CIA’s involvement.[11] MKUltra was allocated 6 percent of total CIA funds.[12]

There is also a belief in some circles that "joining" the NWO Elite requires a sacrifice up to and including ones' own kids.

There is no direct evidence of this, so I am sceptical.

However, it has long been a staple that the so-called "illuminati, etc." have a Lucerferian Worldview.

It is conjecture, yet, if you follow the trail of evil, it is certainly something that cannot be discounted.

Before the internets, we had no way of digging up information on TPTB. It is getting quite interesting.

I suggest people share research on this "stuff," because something is indeed rotten.

I don't know, eyewitnesses are saying multiple shooters again. Just like Wisconsin and Colorado. Bullet resistant vest... Again, wearing Black "military style gear" again.. 4 weapons found on the scene. 1 Sig, 1 Glock and 1 .223 M16 and the 4th has not been named as to what make or model, my best guess is that it is a tacticle shotgun. Sounds too much like cinima 16 all over again and we saw how that turned out, sealed case with secret testimony once the judge found out the FBI was involved with an Airforce psyc afterwards and his hardware for the crime was being mailed directly to his school. I'm getting the feeling someone want's to get rid of all guns hence the real reason Obama recieved the Nobel Peace Prize because he promised the International community and the UN that he would ban them in America, little known fact in '08. This administration has murdered millions of foriegn civillians in Nations that haven't even attacked us, 28 more won't make them lose sleep. Prayers go out to these families that lost.

His brother is quoted as saying autistic spectrum and personality disorder.

Which one? Anti-social? Schizotypical? Age 20 is often when schizophrenia first hits.

His mother stayed home to look after him. Someone whose only issue is Asperger's, doesn't need a stay at home care giver.

Something else was obviously going on. Medication has also been mentioned.

Had he just been put on or taken off of medications recently? I've personally seen someone completely lose it during a medication change. Luckily not killing anyone in the process. The risks of violent withdrawal symptoms is especially severely under stated. Skip Effexor and Respirdal for a few days with a bunch of guns sitting around, the results may not be pretty.

Ohhhh, he had an autistic affliction.  Okay. I'm going to tell a story.  I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin.

Before I moved out to the country, I lived in town (pop. 900).  I had a house and three lots, which I fenced off for my dogs.  I had little knowledge of my neighbors at the time.  I would come home from work to find my two dogs' faces bloodied, regularly.  My big dog bullied the younger one away from the fence, which I thought was odd at first until I realized he was trying to protect him.  I got an inkling something was up with the neighbor kid because I found bright blue rocks in my lfenced-off awn that didn't occur in nature, but were plentiful in their rock garden.  He was pummeling them with rocks after school.  I know this because I put cameras out and caught him in the act.

I approached his parents about this, and even with video evidence and blue rocks in hand, they said, "Oh no, Alec wouldnt' do this," or "Well, you know he has autism."

This kid abused his younger sister, their own family dog (who eventually bit his ass - in front of me - much to my delight) and all the while the parents made excuses and wouldn't acknowledge what a danger their kid was.

I tried.  The kid left me alone, and my dogs, for awhile and moved on to other mayhem.  I got lax on the surveillance and I regret it to this day.  He killed my dog.   Poisoned him and I watched him die in front of me.

I moved out of town and heard through the grapevine that the parents still would not acknowlege anything about their son: "Oh he is autistic and can't help himself," as they left him alone and to his own devices all day.  Excuses, excuses. He was 14 years old and raped and impregnated a girl, and then tried to blind her with bleach. And later he burned down his family's house.

I drove by my old house and the now-vacant lot where their house used to be.  They don't live around here anymore.

I guess they ran out of excuses for coddling their fucked up son.

Ignorance is bliss, until it smacks you in the fucking face.

Wow.

From what I can tell, those certain sections of support from within are now being disolved.  While certain others shall be strengthened.  While also regarding those people who voted for Obama as a "lesser of two evils"?  I see 3/4 of them are now shaking their head, namely that partial support is now gone.

The most obvious of this all, are two things.  ONE.  The timing of all of the usual suspects up and out, and calling for the disarmament of all guns.  TWO.  The early consolidation of the news reports and the attempted hiding of the fact, that there is more than one shooter, Again.

What really scares me?  Is what else is going on.  Like it or not, granted, this one woke up a bunch of people.  60 to 70% in favor of the American people, and 30 to 40% for those of whom who have been pushing for such destruction of our Different Western Societies.

You seem to have a very short memory. I've lived long enough to remember several incidents, Here are just two:

Vicky Weaver is dead. She's been dead several years, since her husband Randall Weaver refused to become a government informant. Look up "Ruby Ridge" for the details.

Vicky Weaver was shot by a sniper through a door; a US government sniper, one Len Horiuchi. He was detailed, to the FBI I believe, at the time. Idaho took a dim view of someone shooting a woman dead in her home, and attempted to try Horiuchi for manslaughter. The US government put a stop to the proceedings on the basis of "sovereign immunity". Horiuchi was never tried for murder, nor was Janet Reno, his superior, or Bill Clinton, who was POTUS at the time. But Vicky Weaver, never charged or tried for any crime, was still dead.

This government hates the second amendment, and its armed citizenry.

David Koresh was a religious nut. He kept firearms at his compound. The Feds found out about it, and took a dim view. They could have arrested Koresh any week, when he came down to town (usually alone, or with a few followers) for supplies. Instead, they surrounded the compound, told him to come out, and when he didn't, they fired tear gas into the buildings. Unfortunately, the grenades explode somewhat (to disperse the gas), and theymay have upset kerosene lamps, or just set bales of hay afire (imagine that, bales of hay in a barn!); look up "Branch Davidians" for how many died. Again, neither Janet Reno nor Bill Clinton were held responsible for any wrongdoing, and the site was bulldozed two weeks later to prevent any further investigation. Various pieces of evidence went missing as well.

These are just two of the better-known instances of what happened to citizens the government took a dim view of. " turning the event into some kind of massive conspiracy" DOESN'T cope with it; it merely is the most likely answer for why now, why in a school, why wasn't it stopped, and so forth. You can remain blind as long as you want, I'm certainly not trying to convince you; you can say it's just a mentally disturbed young man, a loner (despite the news reports of two shooters, early on), just a freak, an abberation, the far end of the probability curve biting us in the ass; I don't care what explanation you're willing to believe.

There are simply too many dead over the years for me to disbelieve automatically, anymore, that in order to increase control and disperse opposition evil men in power will do evil things. Even to children. You can believe what you want to.

So you conclude based on the Ruby Ridge and David Koresh incidents that there's a massive and super-secret government conspiracy which INDUCED this disturbed young man to kill his parents and a bunch of innocent children before committing suicide?

It's not that I have a short memory--it's that you really are batshit-crazy.

I'm sorry, if you want someone to buy into your conspiracy story, you need a WAYYYYY better pitch.  Maybe you can start a compound somewhere in Guyana and attract a bunch of like-minded minorities to join you.  That worked out great last time.  Or just get high on speed and write a book, and in another 50 years some Hollywood superstar will be preaching about the brilliance of your theories.

(*Anything* is bound to be more effective than THAT crap.)

I am hardly crazy, batshit-or-otherwise. But you are a government troll, How much are you paid to post your nonsense?

Whether or not we ever find out why this particular deranged killer killed, I am simply saying it's possible that he was set up. You are the one insisting it's impossible - without giving any reasons.

I gave two verified, historical examples of government abuse - and you gave nothing. That's all you have; nothing but a blind, mindless faith that those in power would never hurt you, never set someone up for death or exploitation, never kill children to increase their power over the populace.

Go back to sleep, it's better than listening to your statist apologetics. I will waste no more time on you.

What makes you crazy isn't that your opinion differs from mine.  What makes you crazy is that you started with 100% CERTAINTY of information which may be false in the absence of any information.  That's pretty close to an operational definition of "crazy."  I am glad to see you want to backpedal now, so perhaps there's hope for you.

But EVEN NOW, not only are you claiming that this "could be" the result of that massive super-secret government conspiracy, but ALSO that *I* am one of the conspirators!

I like conspiracies, and some of them are very real.  If you have any credible information about THIS ONE, I'd be interested to see it.

(You'll probably assume I'm lying, but just to mention: I'm a 100% unpaid volunteer pundit.  I hate the government, perhaps even as much as you do, but my reasons are based on facts that are easily observed in the shared reality.)

Question:  What is it about American society that has made these disgusting attrocities a seasonal sport?  Is it the influence of the entertainment industry?  Diet?  Government indifference to life elsewhere on the planet?

You hardly ever hear of these events occuring outside of the USA, when they do they are a one off.  So what is it with American's?  Why do they need to go into schools and colleges and murder their young?

You also never hear about citizens with legally owned guns being used in self defense. Which happens quite often thats why its never reported. It might put ideas in the serfs heads that guns for them are a good thing which is a bad thing. Only the state has the right to kill indiscriminately.

POTUS has killed at least 20 kids by drones, collateral damage but hey at least they weren't amerikans. That POTUS puppet crying, what a fuckin shame. Adam had a mental disorder. Obama does it because he is following orders, who is sicker?

Discussing who is the more 'american' between 'americans' can give weird results.

They are all 'american' 'american'.

Killing kids abroad and weeping when kids are killed in the homeland is as 'american' as the M 4 or the apple pie.

In an 'american' society, the middle class is the King class.

Obama, as the president, is the servant to the 'american' middle class. He has to please them in order to secure their consent.

The President kills kids to please the US american middle class and he weeps on kids' death to please the US american middle class.

That is the way it works in 'americanism'.

First of all, this whole event in one in a series of false flag events aimed at further militarizing civil society in the US. The point has been argued pretty extensively and i wont rehash the arguments except to say that whatever position you are taking, keep an open mind and dont dismiss people who have actually done the research.

Cant one teacher with a pistol permit bring a gun with him or her to work. Im already hearing suggestions of having armed guards at every school. Does anyone see what is going on. They are using these events to completely militarize civil society. We are becoming a police state and we are begging them to do it.

Take our guns because we, as individuals are not responsible to possess them. Give them all to the smart people in the gov. We can trust them to watch over us. The idea sounds pretty good unless you fully understand how evil the government is. People must understand the evil we face or they will literally run for safety into the hands of the perpetrator.

FEAR is the great motivator.

"There is something happinin here, what it is aint exactly clear, theres a man with a gun over there, tellin me i got to beware"

Better stop and look around before you surrender your rights to the government.

Its a battle to get to the truth. Dont expect it to come easy.

A lot of this militarization began under Reagan (with Bush throwing the switches and levers). Televising the war on drugs and the LA armored cars crashing into houses certainly went a long way in militarizing police and society.

If you plot a graph of 'the capacity to do violence' vs 'the love received in childhood'

you will see that it asymptotically approaches the two axes. Good old Santa Klaus has

no inputs to this curve. He is just an invention of the media/business folks.

Zero love received = infinite capacity for violence = max capacity for war.

From the NY Times update, take these lessons:

1) Asperger's syndrome has been removed from the new DSM V [see here], so doesn't officially exist anymore; but basically, fear the male, fear the socially non-conformist. It's not as if American High-School needed more damaging social dynamics, but expect them. Ra! Ra! Go Team go! Salute the flag and stand for your oath! Fear the other! Fear the different! CONFORM, CONFORM, CONFORM!

2) "In his brief adulthood, Mr. Lanza had left few footprints, electronic or otherwise" Not having Facebook is suspicious and might hide you being a killer (this is a meme that's been tried before the IPO shorting, interesting it's being re-used). See this fear piece by the Daily Mail ~ is not having Facebook a sign you're a psychopath? Answer: no, it isn't, and you insult everyone by the memetic inference.

3) “If you looked at him, you couldn’t see any emotions going through his head.” Translation: fear the unreadable, fear the sophisticated, fear those who can act. This is ironic, given the clossal amounts of artifice and acting that get you ahead in American society [see further: Congress and Media celebrity]. The message is that only the chosen should do this, everyone else needs to be completely transparent and surface based, and more importantly, not be able to read subtlety or advanced social cues. Those are for the predators, not the herd.

Lovely piece of spin and control the NYT is running with. How respectful of the children who died.

There has been or will be 'americans' to request that people around the world take a few minutes to mourn those kids.

Such suggestions never been made about kids 'americans' kill in their wars.

Somehow, the whole humanity has to feel guilty of this 'american' made mass slaughter.

Humanity owes that to 'americans'. Consider, if human beings were not what they are, the world would be such a great place under the imperium of 'americanism'.

That is human beings who spoil the beauty of 'americanism'.

I know what you mean, pal.

All kids are equal to me. For some reason americans leaders have this absurde perception they can kill everybody, children all over the World at will but the World has to mourn even for the massacres some of they psychotic man from the government's agencies and their allies organize (as 9/11).

The (un)information given doesn't sound - once again -  right.

Was this boy on neuroleptichs as Risperidal, olanzapina and shits like that?

Was Peter Lanza to testify on the LIBORgate?

Where there two shooters?

What about all the kids assassinated in Afghanistan, Irak, Libya, Siria, Gaza, Sudan, everywhere by bombs or starvation?

And they give themselves the Peace Nobel Price, Obama and the European Union!

I've said weeks ago in this forum that the american people was the first victim of the american govt and the Power behind it and I've got many "minus".

I'm reading right now thousand of bloggers making the same questions and nobody is gonna answer as nobody did about 9/11. I feel this shit has gone too far already and I'm sick for those children and their families... And "the lonely shooter" pattern once again.

Just quote one of those comments: "Thats something to think about....how did the guy break into the school unseen? Why drive all the way to shoot 20 kids?...and didnt somebody try to stop him on kid number 7?...why shoot afterwards? was it because you couldnt live with the fact that you killed 20 kids? If so then you were SANE not INSANE.....hmm"

And so on and on and on... As in here:

The answer as always is not less guns but MORE guns. If those kids and their teachers had been allowed to take semi-automatic guns into the school then this would never had happened. The kids could have opened up on this nerd - and the teachers could have also have targeted him. It's amazing once you get a bit of crossfire happening how quickly these sort of psychos loose their nerve.

But nooo - as always the libtard gun control pussies have made it difficult for students and teachers to defend themselves in these situations. In and ideal world EVERYONE over the age of 5 should be armed and ready to deal with these monsters.
