Drones Over New York City?

Tyler Durden's picture

In a world in which the NSA has access to everything, including - soon - one's bank accounts, because "the government is there to protect you", it was only a matter of time before the logical extension of abdicating all privacy was enforced in the city that never sleeps, and which ended up with 24/7 vigilant "alarm clocks" in the form of unmanned aerial vehicles, aka drones, "for the sake of security." From RT: "The head of the New York City Police Department announced this week that the largest local law enforcement agency in the United States might soon rely on spy drones for conducting surveillance. During an open conversation held Thursday between Reuters editor-in-chief Stephen Adler and NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, the chief of police confirmed that New York’s boys in blue aren’t entirely opposed to acquiring an unmanned aerial vehicle for the sake of security. “We’re looking into it," Kelly reportedly told an audience at the 92nd Street Y Thursday evening. “Anything that helps us.”

More:

Jill Colvin, a producer for the website DNAinfo, says Kelly told his crowd that adding an UAV to their arsenal of surveillance tools could come in handy during future mass protests in the Big Apple. For starters, she reports, Kelly said cops could begin with using basic civilian models that are available for purchase online and in stores.

"You can go to Brookstone and buy a drone," Kelly told the crowd.

“The only thing we would do is maybe use the cheap $250 ones to take a look and see the size of the demonstration or something along those lines,” Colvin quotes him as saying.

...

Should New York City secure a drone of their own, there is little one could do that isn’t already possible in NYC. As of last year, the NYPD had access to around 2,000 surveillance cameras on just the island of Manhattan.

And maybe attach a few missiles (not sold at Brookstone just yet) to said drone, just in case a little additional militarized firepower was necessary in addition to looking and "seeing the size or something."And why not: it's not like there is a law in the US preventing the government for going all Ezekiel 25:17 on any US citizen just because the pilot at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, didn't like the angle of attack on some guy's mustache.

Because, remember, "they hate us for our freedoms."

This chart makes it very clear cut

The big job growth is in treating sick people and educating those who cannot find a job.

The big hits are in making things, building things, selling things, and moving those things around.

 Wow

We had one of those things fly over a hunt club down here by commie vegetables or something.

It got shot down.

"They hate us for our Freedoms."

Nobody caught on it meant USA citizenisms, not smelly camel jockeys.

Drones over Manhattan .... Staten Island, too .... a swarm of drones .... could bring down a rogue airliner .... maybe one would be enough .... if you hit the elephant in the eye .... but redundancy is a proven aeronautical precaution ?  They aren't as noisy as pigs in choppers .... although, just as nosey ?  Maybe they could be used to spook all the pigeons (rats with wings) ? At least rats don't climb up in trees and/or shit on you from bridges with egg shell calcium marker in their stool !

Freeduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb.

I just love watching football and seeing the huge 100x50 yard U.S flag before the game and all the sheeple getting all rah rah over it thinking their country is the home of freedom and democracy and greatness and being totally oblivious to how big a police state the country is becoming, how they are nothing but slaves or money giving cattle and how so many of their rights are being taken away on a weekly basis and how broke the country is. What morons and I can't feel any sympathy for people who have the ability to clue in and see the truth yet are too lazy or apathetic to do so since they have their smart phones and can twitter and facebook it up all day so they are content. If people are that apathetic to what is going on and they get screwed over then they deserve it.

I do feel bad for those that live there and have a clue of reality and what is really going on and can't really do anything to stop it or to get the sheeple to wake up since the sheeple of course will trash anyone who has taken the red pill and call them anything from conspiracy theorist kooks to unpatriotic haters of freedom. I can only hope those red pill takers have or are getting themselves prepared for all that is coming.

I teach high school and I was given a revised pledge of allegiance today.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the democracy for which it stands, one nation indivisible, under drones. Amen"

One kid came up to me afterwards and said he's glad the drones will stop the school shootings.  The Fox camera crew that was on hand almost teared up.

Last night, as I was reading various blogs, and patriot's thoughts, the hair stood up on the back of my neck.  There's no need WONDERING how patriots from earlier times felt.....WE CAN FEEL IT, RIGHT NOW!  We are currently experiencing the same thoughts and feelings our forefathers had 200 years ago.

We all now must face up to our feelings, come to grips with reality, and make some hard decisions. I've made mine.

Sound-waves may offer some respite from the drones.  (Once they're here, it's only a matter of time before the Hellfire missiles are used).  You've seen the 'patterns' that sound waves make on 'salted' drum-heads....I'm pretty sure that with a little research, it will be found that certain frequencies and their corresponding 'disruption patterns' can be directed towards the drones with resulting engine malfunction. It should be a comparatively simple matter to build a speaker-based weapon to aim at them.  Sort of like microwaves, which may ALSO be used in some fashion. Or a combination of the two.

Once drones are commonplace in our skies, it's over for Americans.  Might as well live in Pakistan.
