Boston: A Photographic Retrospective

Tyler Durden's picture

It has been a tumultuous and terrible week with every emotion being played out in public, real-time across every social media source. This is an attempt at visually preserving and memorializing this week's events.

Everything was going as planned for one of the most prestigious marathons in the world

The elite athletes had completed their race

The rest of the pack (still incredible athletes to qualify for Boston) continued their trudge through the 26.2 miles

And then at around 4 hours in, this

and then this

Chaos and devastation

Heroes emerged

First responders with uniforms

... and without

The suspects were first unknown but identified in a few days

Then the manhunt began

Following a shoot out on MIT Campus

Which left one police officer dead

As well as one of the suspects

Quickly Boston was put into lockdown mode

A city on the verge of martial law

As the manhunt began

As the suspects were identified, family members came forward

Neighborhoods were evacuated

... and searched for bombs

As bewildered residents looked on

Even the journalists were told to provide "ground coverage"

Then as night was about to fall and the suspect remained uncovered, shots were heard

And the showdown siege began

The second suspect was discovered - in a boat

SWAT teams swooped in

And Suspect 2 was captured

Law enforcement celebrated

As did the people

'Friends' were rounded up

And all was well: a perfect ending.

... or just the beginning?

Seeing that runners shredded legs reminds me that kid-terrorista's date with death is due.

He is clearly guilty.  I saw it on television and his license plate says he is guilty, so let's just declare him an enemy combatant and send him to Gitmo to die in a "hunger strike" before his secret military trial is scheduled to begin.  I for one welcome my new militarized police and I feel much safer knowing that I am being thermally imaged as I type this.

Interesting choice of words.  Due process ring a bell?  If he's guilty, no doubt it will be easily proved in Court.  Unless that step is somehow bypassed for national security reasons, like his Miranda rights.

Or if his "serious condition" suddenly turns south and he expires, leaving proof of guilt to be played out in the mainstream and uncontested...

What jury can be impartial when the President has determined his guilt.  Obama was still on the 'all suspects killed' script when he said this:

Obviously tonight they are a lot of unanswered questions.  Among them, why did young men who grew up and studied here, as part of our communities and our country, resort to such violence.  How did they plan and carry out these attacks and did they have any help.

If the Pres says he's guilty, he's guilty.  No reason for a trial.  It's right there in the Constitution after the "Iraq war will pay for itself with oil profits and Saddam is an evil-doer so let's go" Clause.

Didn't the Prez say that George Zimmerman was guilty in the Trayvon Martin case?  Must be true.   That guy doesn't deserve a trial either.

Speaking of trials, we don't need to go through the expense of one here.  Via NDAA we have gotten rid of habeas corpus.  This is great.

Come to think of it, this bomber suspect #2 looks an awful lot like what Obama's son would have looked like.

Obama was just upset it wasn't one those 'typical white folks'.  The Islamic terorist apology tour has already begun, calling it a tragedy instead of an act of terrorism --which is what he would have called it if it they had found a card carrying NRA member.

NYT already pulled a bullshit article that painted them as 'unfortunate' young lads, for not being able to fit in. ie., "What did we do to make them do this?" It was so fucked up even their fellow liberals couldn't stomach it, so they yanked it.

That narrative got pulled.

They always have 3 or 4 in play at any one time that they can choose from for back-up if needed (recall: the deported Saudi).  In all probability, this was NOT 'Plan A'.

CNN, MSNBC were all primed for white, ex-military Constitutionalist type before crowd-source analysis of photos flipped their apple cart

(c.f. BBC and Building 7)

[EDIT: By 'that narrative' I was referring to the 'wet dream' of the MSM's promotion of Constitutionalist Terrorist as previously vamped by CNN et al not the 'unfortunate' lads storyline... But that said, all their narratives are in play until they receive the final script...sometimes it's just the default Islamist AlQ schtick they're stuck with...]

Can't have a trial where the truth might confuse and "harm" the public, now can we?!

They, those in the governmnet, really blew it this time. They were able to kill 76 in Waco to limit any truth telling but missed one of two, so far, this time. Sloppy, sloppy sloppy.

Now I am to believe that the FBI is......pulling its pud all day?

Something I haven't been paying attention to, but now it is getting me thinking. We do know for a fact that the FBI has run a lot of sting operations and they have sought out people with radical leanings and set them up with a handler pretenting to be a fellow radical. In a number of well know cases the people have been led along and helped to prepare a terrorist attack. In many cases weapons have been provided and explosives, along with dummy bombs etc. ect. In a number of well publicized cases the subject has been taken all the way by FBI handlers to the point of taking a dummy car bomb to a place of detonation.

We don't know what games the FBI has played with people of interest. We KNOW that the FBI had talked to Tamerlan, his mother and father now both claim the FBI was following and handling his every move. These are claims, but we have seen how the FBI has tryed to lure people they become aware of into going through with attacks.

If both subject die, then all we have is the FBI's word. We will not know what the FBI said to Tamerlan, we won't know if he was being handled by FBI undercover radicals to egg him on.

Since we now know the Russians warned the US in no uncertain terms that Tamerlan was connected to the highest level of Chechen terrorists, then how do we explain the FBI not catching this guy as he carried through with a terror attack. His social media was full of radical Islamic postings. The FBI has a lot of questions to answer. But they have the power not to answer them. So we will be left to speculate how involved they were with the head bomber Tamerlan. The Russians claim this guy made contacts with the highest level of terrorist leadership. But they didn't take him out. This whole story stinks. No?

Well, plus one overall.

Many times people are taken in by our government for "other uses". I've never agreed with it, a murderer is a murderer, a thief a thief etc.

It would be interesting to see in our "chained immigration system" who the first from this family is...not just these two who are guilty as sin IMO.

How or where did the elder brother get the means to drive a Mercedes (for example) as his occupation was as a "food deliverer" whatever that means?

supposedly they carjacked the Mercedes SUV.

But we have initially 19,000 +/- recipients of public assistance (EBT) who don't live at their stated addresses.  This might be the only thing that Faux-cahontis has done to the public good.  She caused a group, run by her daughter (1/64th Cherokee, if we are keeping track) to mail out voter registration cards with return postage no less, to the entire welfare roll.  19k came back, "return to sender", in the initial report.  Then they "scrubbed" the list and it now stands north of 40k.

Routine reports of locals bragging that they are enrolled 3..5 times.

Besides, if one is a "food deliverer" in the People's Republic of Cambridge, one doesn't wish to offend the deliverees.

You mean like the real explosives the FBI "accidentally" put in the bomb that blew out the basement of the world trade center in 1993?  There were medals all around.  Chertoff helped with the coverup so the puppetmasters knew they could trust him to be head of Homeland Security.

that's the PNAC script you're quoting,

According to the PNAC report, "The American peace has proven itself peaceful, stable, and durable. Yet no moment in international politics can be frozen in time: even a global Pax Americana will not preserve itself." To preserve this "American peace" through the 21st century, the PNAC report concludes that the global order "must have a secure foundation on unquestioned U.S. military preeminence." The report struck a prescient note when it observed that "the process of transformation is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event--like a new Pearl Harbor."

most likely it's still their script, revised, updated, that we're watching even now. . .

Si, the whole story stinks.

FBI "foils" incompetent "terrorists" that it supplies with materiale ever since WTC 1 bombing.

Russia informed US about these guuys, but US did nothing.

Mom says FBI has tracked her sons for "years".

Best case scenario- FBI/DHS lost control and bad things happened because of FBI/DHS incompetence.

Worst case scenario- FBI/DHS players in false flag.

Middle of the road scenario- Mossad silenced patriots in FBI/DHS and carried out attack despite best efforts to stop it.

Right and wrong.

Most of the FBI's victims did not have any radical leanings and many were not even the government's chosen "Goldstein," Muslims. The FBI and their informants radicalized them and then hatched the plan, supported them and provided the materials.

Just as in the Martinez case, in terrorism sting after terrorism sting, FBI and DOJ officials have hosted high-profile press conferences to announce yet another foiled terrorist plot. But what isn't publicized during these press conferences is the fact that government-described terrorists such as Antonio Martinez were able to carry forward with their potentially lethal plots only because FBI informants and agents provided them with all of the means-in most cases delivering weapons and equipment, in some cases even paying for rent and doling out a little spending money to keep targets on the hook. In cities around the country where terrorism sting operations have occurred-among them New York City, Albany, Chicago, Miami, Baltimore, Portland, Tampa, Houston, and Dallas-a central question exists: Is the FBI catching terrorists or creating them?

In one case the victim could not raise the cash for weapons and such so they set him up with some guys who were actually agents and informants. These guys traded thousands of dollars worth of weapons for some speakers and a bike.

They should rename the FBI's Hoover building to "The Center for the Security Theater Performing Arts."      hujel

here's another mindbender for ya Jack:   there are reports of the older brother walking towards cops shooting (implying that he had at least 1 gun).    the older brother gets taken down and then is supposedly run over by his younger brother.   this implies that the authorities now have the gun(s) in their possession.

now in a week where there is a raging debate on background checks and gun control and every tiny news story in the nation gets exploited to prove a point about guns (no matter how tangential), we get a mysteriously released photo of the corpse but nary a whisper about any gun.

or who it was registered to.

My point was, what picture did they show him?

The ones the FBI released to the public?

I couldn't see any facial features from those photos and I believe any law enforcement officer that used those photos based upon the word of a very traumatized witness, would have fucked up their job.

If they had him identify clearer photos then that brings up other questions. Why didn't the FBI release the clear photos to the public?  Where did the FBI get the clear photos?

Please listen to the NPR radio show, which has the host interviewing her nephew about how close they were to the 19 year old.

I'm not saying the kid is innocent, but I'm saying that this shit stinks.  Don't forget that the FBI only admitted being in contact with the older brother when their mother made that claim in an interview.  How long would they have kept that secret if their hand wasn't forced?

MSM is the judge and jury? I'm defending MSM? You guys gonna throw up strawman attacks all night...poor poor pitiful me...lol.

Everythings a conspiracy. Give me a break.

Just because a couple of wierded out nutcases decide to bomb the Boston Marathon...or a fucking retard shoots his own mother in the head and then shoots up a school or another nutcase shoots up a movie theater...there is "some bigger manipulator"...because we're all perfectly fine out here...right?

Is that what I'm getting here?

No...its like this children...there is some really fucked up people in this world...large & small...rich & poor...and don't ever think for one minute when one of us goes off the rails some well meaning moron OR some evil fuck in high places won't try to take advantage of that FACT...to "help"...or demand "something be done".

Sun, 04/21/2013 - 00:45 | 3479461 Prometheus418
Prometheus418's picture

No.

You're getting far too defensive.  Those two kids could have done all of that shit- it's not outside the range of possibility.  But that's not the discussion I'm trying to have with you here.  You saw the same things I did, and chose to accept that the reports on the news were "fair and balanced" even though they led to a period of martial law, one execution, and one arrest without Miranda.

This is nothing for us to celebrate or defend, and it does not ensure justice.  What it does, and all it does, is promote senseless jingoism when the hoi polloi are permitted to watch a snuff film on the 6 o'clock news.  If these two guys killed innocent joggers, and we see the evidence in court, I'd be the first to want to see them executed by firing squad- but that's not what we saw.

What we were "treated" to here was a blast, an assumption built on the testimony of one man who had just received a massive physical trauma and was probably being treated with heavy narcotics, an assassination and an unconstitutional arrest.

Of course the shitheels who run things are taking advantage of whatever they can at this point- I expect that.  I'm not yelling conspiracy here, I'm throwing a flag on a foul.  I don't give two shits how bad a crime is, I am not willing to concede that our government has the right to kill people without a trial.  How is that so difficult for a guy as smart as you to understand?

Sun, 04/21/2013 - 09:22 | 3479853 nmewn
nmewn's picture

A nineteen & twenty six year old are not "kids"...so lets leave emotional levers prying on our rationality out of this, ok?

Do I agree with locking down an entire city looking for a nineteen year old? Of course not, never said I did. Didn't agree with it and never have, when Sandy hit and I said so at the time. We routinely ignore it down here during hurricane season.

Do I agree with the government saying they will not Mirandize the suspect? No...but what you fail to see is what that actually is. All it is, is a legal parlor trick designed for prosecuters. The Fifth Amendment didn't go away, he still can't be compelled to testify against himself but if he says anything to them it won't be thrown out of court...legally. Again...I disagree with it as everyone is not as well versed on our rights as us but thats all it is.

Just don't talk to them as "a citizens penalty" for them dreaming it up in the first place.

Now lets turn to what we agree on.

"Of course the shitheels who run things are taking advantage of whatever they can at this point- I expect that."

There is a growing tendency (in our larger society) for the people to turn to their neighbor or media or politicians in a moment of hightened anxiety and say "Someone should do something!" Well when they do..."do something" it is usually wrong...so people need to quit saying it and realize when they say it they are giving carte blanche for authority to fuck something up.

Universal background checks was a prime example, it would have done nothing to prevent Sandy Hook (the premise of the law) as the killer stole the gun after comitting his first murder (his own Mom). ObamaCare is another, where some "percieved need" among ten percent of the population was "corrected" by fucking up the other ninety percent of the populations health insurance.

Back to this...I don't believe its a conspiracy either. I believe these are the men who did it, there is more than one witness, theres an entire community of them now after the gunfight/bomb fight. But I also believe calling in armored humvees and locking down metro areas to search for one guy is over the top stupid and authorities will always over step their bounds in a rush to prove their worth to us.

as always, respect your viewpoint, nmewn, even when it diverges from mine.   if your presumptions are correct, then it still does not answer the questions of what, how, why & when did the FBI have foreknowledge of.

And thats all it is tip...just my vantage point, my opinion. Just like everyone else has theirs.

We still need to get down to the why and the interlacing storylines. The FBI visiting their home is just one aspect, it really doesn't point to anything nefarious on its face. They could have been trying to "turn him/them" in order to find out whats going on inside their mosque. Its not out of the realm of possibility.

Or did I miss something along that route? The mom is going to defend the sons (family) no matter what in my opinion. Its what family does and is to be expected, mine would too.

Of interest from an "outsiders" perspective on the family...

hmmm, methinks that article reveals as much of the hidden bias of the author as it does of her subject.

i have no illusions as to the proper discounting needed when reading any mother's defense of her children.   that's human nature.   it's why it's so intriguing to me that she actually seems to indirectly implicate her son in her defense:

"They knew what my son was doing, they knew what sites on the Internet he was going to,"   Tamerlan "was really an extremist leader and that they were afraid of him."

for someone who was up in arms about Fast & Furious, it doesn't seem like that much of a stretch to consider the possibility of something similar being pulled in this case.

Well I don't know about an "extremist leader"...maybe of one, namely his little brother. But he did take a sojourn back to the "motherland" long after the FBI was asked by Russia to check him out.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/21/us/boston-marathon-bombings.html?pagewanted=all&_r=1

Many seem to put a lot of emphasis on the "all knowing, all seeing eye of government" really knowing everything...they don't and people can change over time. What was once a seed laying dormant and bothering no one can sprout into a tree and damage the foundation of a house which effects everyone.

I don't expect them to monitor everyone, nor do I want them to. I don't want to live in one of those societies. They checked him out...there was nothing there...then.

I was just watching a special about the Greenbrier resort with my wife. I knew all about it from my Cold War history classes. My wife didn't know anything about it. When construction first started rumors circulated about a massive bunker being built. The media said it was all conspiracy talk. With so many people involved, how could the story not leak.

The cover story was the exibit hall, even though people at the time said there was far more construction equipment and materials used that what would be required for just the hall. Kind of like the Denver Airport. Soon the conspiracy stories stopped. People came to the exibit hall walked around, figured yep that was it.

During the show, before the big reveal, my wife asked, "So the secret was the big exibit hall?". I said, "Oh honey no. They built a giant fallout shelter for congress and the place was run by government agents posing as TV repair men."

She looked at me with you are out of your mind eyes. Actually thinking I was joking. I said, "Just watch the show." Of course everything is revealed just like I said. "How did you know that?" was uttered. I said, "Rust me you are better off not knowing. You'll be happier."

How many thousands of people walked past the false wall at the Greenbrier not knowing there was a massive bunker with an 80 ton door behind it. Thousands of people were involved with the construction, thousands more connected by other means. The entire thing remained secret. Well some people knew, but they couldn't prove it. Branded conspiracy theorists.

My wife asked, "Why would they keep it a secret?"

I said, "Honey, that's their job." Followed with her reply, "But how can they lie and do that? It doesn't make sense, it isn't right."

I said, "Honey, there is a large group of people that believe the ends justify the means. They have an agenda, they will see it through. If they have to lie to the people, they will. They do not believe they are doing wrong. They believe they are doing right. They will get in front of a camera and lie. They will cry if need be. The camera crew will be in on it, the producers, the news anchors, everyone. But they won't let the truth slip. That is their job. You think they are liars, perhaps evil. They think you are stupid."

So to the point. Is it really that hard for a few hundred or even a few thousand people to be involved in let's say, a bombing of a marathon in Boston, and keep it a secret? Some Chechen kid getting recruited by some three letter agency, thinking he was doing some cakewalk assignment, partying Wednesday night thinking he did his job well, only to find his face plastered on every TV network the next day.

There has been a lot of bullshit with this event. The simple explanation doesn't fit.

"Speaking of which, were you there?  Did you see a gun?"

Lotsa people there (Watertown is OLD New England) with neat houses packed side-by-each,  maybe enough space between them to drive to a rear garage.  I'm surprised that a boat can be parked in the back lot.

The firefight was 200+ rounds, 1 pressure-cooker bomb, coupula' pipe bomb/grenades, sounds recorded multiple times from muliple sources, you probably didn't see the bullet hole in the guy's calendar.

So, yup, there was gunplay and a pursuit with bombs going off.  Watertown cops showed large cojones in pursuit.

Sleep it off, man.

I get it, it's an emotional issue, and there's all kinds of pressure from all kinds of places that make all of us want to believe that our civil servants have our best interests at heart, at least once in a while.

Hell, I'd love to be able to believe that this was the work of a sleeper cell, and that Keifer Sutherland himself went all Jack Bauer on their asses to take their flag-hating asses down.  Problem is, life is messier than movies, and the guys writing these scripts just aren't that fucking smart.

Yeah, it could have happened just as described- maybe.  The point is, and always has been, that we will never know because the TV tried and sentanced them, and the military/"police" killed them.  Yeah, yeah, I know- the younger one is alive... barely.  I don't believe he'll make it, so I am calling it a double execution without trial.

I'm not defending them- I'm defending myself.  I don't play ball with the current narrative- I don't use credit, I grow and can my own veggies (in a pressure cooker,) I fly a Gadsen flag beside my front door, and I own enough ammunition to survive a zombie apocalypse in style.  I'm a white male of European descent who doesn't care for paying taxes and makes extremist comments on internet blogs when I'm in my cups (I'm mostly Irish, and that's when all the good blarney comes out.)  I used to be a member of the NRA, back when I had enough money to waste on it, and I take all my money out of the bank the day it's deposited- paying bills in cash, and converting the remainder to silver coin as fast as I can.

But for the grace of a vengeful god, I could easily see myself the subject of one of these witchhunts- but here's the rub, I've done nothing that is not legally and morally upstanding by the laws of both my country and by the dictates of the majority Christian faith.  Yet when I look around, I see that I hit almost every target square in the bulls-eye when it comes to the criteria established for a potential domestic terrorist.  I'm not a friend of TPTB, I'm exactly what they hate and fear- and I suspect that you are as well.  I can't know about you, but I do know that I have a day-glo target painted on my back, and I'm not going to kneel and pray that they allow me to live as a slave.  When the day comes, I will fight.

That means that when I see something, I say something- not to the police, because they are frankly the enemy, but to my neighbors and extended neighbors on the internet.

I want to know if they ever caught the perp who robbed the 7-11 and at least one gas station just before the MIT cop was killed.

The city is crawling with cops, FBI, BATF, military, all kinds of agencies and some dude goes on a robbery spree in the middle of all that?

I think the robberies were a diversion to distract the cops while the Tsarnaev's planted bombs at MIT.
(which would've worked except somebody called in a possible break-in on campus that officer Collier responded to and got killed)

The last question at the press conference right after Dzhokar's arrest was, "Do you know what they were doing on the MIT campus?"
Right then the guy heading the press conference said, "no more questions".

The Tsarnaev's were loaded up with bombs...at least one of which was another pressure cooker device. They wouldn't be out and about lugging that shit around unless they were planning on planting it all somewhere at that time, in that area.

A diversion to keep the cops busy while they did it makes sense.

So where is the robbery perp?
Were the cops keeping quiet about what they thought the Tsaernev's were doing with all that ordinance that night so other member(s) of their cell wouldn't know the cops were trying to pinpoint them too?

Another reason I ask the above question:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/boston-bombers-fbi-hunting-12-strong-1844844

The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers.

Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.

More than 1,000 FBI agents were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.

A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google."

sophisticated -shit- those things are about as basic as you can get-they've been around for 50 years.

It wasn't the bombs that they're saying were sophisticated...it's the detonators.

Sheesh, people can't read with any comprehension anymore.

the detonators could be rigged by most 12 year old tech geeks using a cell phone. the more complicated of a device simply makes it LESS likely these numbskulls rigged them up.

I heard nothing of looting after the bombings at the Marathon.  That's not the time period I'm talking about anyway.

I'm talking about 2 days AFTER the marathon when the MIT cop was murdered by the Tsarnaevs which started the bomb-throwing, automatic weapon firing, miles long chase that led to the city-wide lockdown.

I'm just saying there was typical crimes and mayhem by the usual street bad guys taking advantage while thousands of cops were everywhere, yet oblivious.

I know there is more to this mess, and there is mulch the government is hiding. It just pisses me off the horror some of those people have suffered through. Their bodies have been mangled and their lives are forever changed. All because of the growing reliance on and failure of the police state. Hopefully people will start searching for some truth in this mess instead of eating what the state shovels them.

Edit. I don't know what pisses me off more seeing that poor guy with his leg shredded or the idiots waving the flags celebrating their cowardice and roll in the ever tightening police state.

You're missing the point.  The security state would have stopped this if they had just a little more unchecked power.  It's kind of like how we all must flush the 2nd Amendment because some nut kills someone with a gun.  Sheep to the slaughter.

No I'm not missing anything Rand. The template has been set. The sheep have been shown how they are to behave when false flags are set off country wide. Not to mention the sheep are gladly going to accept drones or whatever it takes to monitor er... "protect" them.

Still waiting on photos from the Sandy Hook Hoax. Plenty of actors reading from index cards, and almost 30 supposed bodies, but no phootgraphic evidence to back it up.

And there will never be.  That new security system that the school installed has had its tapes wiped clean... can't have any evidence of the guys they caught and put into police cars entering the school.  Can't have the evidence of the "incident" a few days prior.  Can't be allowed to see what firearms were brought into the school, because remember the gun control agenda is against "assault rifles"  and not government sponsored assault teams.

Can't have people knowing that the RIP Victoria Soto web page was created days PRIOR to the incident.  Can't let people know that Google indexed pages and cached them days prior to the incident asking for donations.  Nope.  People cannot know that Sandy Hook was a complete hoax.

Can't let people know that one of the girls who supposedly died in Sandy Hook was in fact still alive ... the media was given her photo because some government numnut messed up the kill list...

besides the dismal show of all that money we spent to save us from terrorist. and then found by a guy checking his boat, if the next event happens it will be to get those police cars armored vehicals stacked up with all those assets on top of each other. like i saw.  the op4 can hit each end and bottle them up for a kill zone. all i could do is shake my head of all the thoughts the next bad guys can do. and rest assured they are.

Posted this on an older thread, bit late to that one so i'll post it here:

Was anyone else listening to this police chase live on the police scanners? IT was broadcast the entire time on ustream, the recordings are still up there.

At one point they arrested "a 60 year old man, not our suspect, grey hair, has a vest and dead man trigger, cuffed, in custody"

May have been mistaken identity but at the time they were pretty sure he had something to be concerned about. Sounds like he got felt up by the bomb robot in the least. Would be interesting to hear his story.

EDIT: found a transcript of someone commentating on the scanner feed - this isn't quoting the police.

EDIT 126 10:40: Waiting on mod position. A different suspect may be found, may have transmitter on him. They are being cautious, white male, 60-70 yrs old. Brown jacket, device is in jacket.

EDIT 130 10:47: He has something in his right hand that he holding. Last person had a dead man switch. (If someone lets go of a dead man switch it triggers the mechanism)

EDIT 132 10:52: Making attempts to block a possible blast.

EDIT 131 10:51: Suspect is shaking his head "no" and trying to arch his back up, speculating that he may be trying to do something with the device [...]This is not Suspect #2 aka White Hat.

EDIT 137 11:03: To further clarify, guy with the white hat has nothing to do with this (as far as we know). He is still on the loose. This suspect is an old man (60-70) with grey hair and appears to be holding a dead man switch.

EDIT 144 11:22: They said they need to bring in a second EOD robot and a second Bearcat (armored vehicle)

EDIT 143 11:19: EOD robot is still clearing the suspect. He will be interviewed after he is cleared.

EDIT 142 11:18: Officials are supposed to give any update some time soon.

EDIT 141 11:15: They are telling all non-SWAT to leave the area.

EDIT 140 11:14: Subject definitely has some kind of device or switch in his hand.

EDIT 139 11:11: EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) robot is attempting to remove the jacket from the man right now.

EDIT 147 11:26: Because it keeps getting asked. The suspect that is being searched by the EOD robots, that is handcuffed, that has the dead man switch, is a 60-70 yr old gray haired man. He was specifically identified as having salt and pepper hair, even the age 90 was thrown out. This is NOT White Hat aka Suspect #2

EDIT 154 11:47: Four robots operating on the old man right now. No word on device or explosive.

EDIT 161 12:02: Suspect is "clear", safe for EMS to approach him.

EDIT 199 1:21: I have heard no updates on the old man with the dead switch or the location of White Hat. I am only listening to the scanner but I do check messages for info.

And two Oregon guys, 59 and 60, blew themselves up near an irrigation reservoir on the 16th.
