"The Battlefield Is The United States Of America"

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Simon Black of Sovereign Man blog,

When you’ve got a guy like Senator John McCain who says “The battlefield is the United States of America,” it tells you that almost nothing is safe in the Land of the Free.

Whatever remains of civil liberties is going to feel the full brunt of the state’s boot heel.

They’re already regulating some of the most fundamental aspects of life, from how we are allowed to educate our children to what we can / cannot put in our bodies to the very nature of money.

People are forced to hold their savings in insolvent banks backed by insolvent insurance funds backed by insolvent governments. And those insolvent governments have demonstrated that they are perfectly willing to directly confiscate accounts.

Retirement funds have proven to be an easy, tempting target. A number of countries including Argentina, Ireland, and Hungary have appropriated private pensions. Even the US government temporarily dipped into federal employee pensions.

Western governments are making every possible effort to take over the Internet. Despite every previous attempt (SOPA, PIPA, etc.) failing due to public outcry, they keep trying and trying (ACTA, CISPA, etc.).

They’re raising taxes, creating new ones (including Maryland’s new ‘rain tax’), imposing capital controls, racking up debt, and rapidly devaluing their currencies.

It all reeks of desperation… and it’s all so obvious. At least, for anyone paying attention.

Unfortunately it’s easy to lose sight of the truth. After all, how can there be any economic problems when the stock market is at an ‘all-time high’ and Nobel Prize winning pseudo-scientists tell us that debt levels don’t matter?

Truth is, these enormous challenges shouldn’t be ignored. The entire global financial system is sitting on a bed of dynamite. Central bankers are dousing the pile with gasoline while politicians are standing around smoking.

The potential for epic disaster cannot be understated.

This is not to say that the world is coming to an end. Far from it. History is quite generous with past example of once-great civilizations that collapsed under the weight of their own hubristic debt.

Things didn’t end. They changed. Simple. And that’s what’s happening now in a textbook fashion.

Governments in trouble almost ALWAYS resort to the same destructive tactics. When things are clearly on the decline, rather than INCREASING freedom and opportunity, they try to control EVERYTHING.

We’re already seeing the early stages of this with competitive devaluation, basic capital controls, and bank withdrawal limits.

These will soon give way to wider capital controls, increased border controls, wage and price controls, asset confiscation, and more.

It only delays the inevitable. The more they control, the more rapid the deterioration becomes. Again, this isn’t some sensationalist prediction; it is the very common historical trend.

The other thing that history shows us, however, is that there are always a handful of people who see the writing on the wall and take action. And that action has almost universally involved looking abroad and diversifying internationally.

This is a time-tested strategy that was once available only to the wealthy landed class. But with modern air transport, digital communication, and global competition, solutions are now available to just about anyone.

I’ll be honest with you– moving one’s assets, business, and even family overseas isn’t easy. These are complicated topics with numerous tax, financial, and professional implications. So go carefully and rationally.

But when structured properly, history shows that a well-informed offshore strategy can have a generational impact should chaos ensue.

And, should nothing ever go wrong in the world, you won’t be worse off for it.

McCain is old, he will be dead soon...

Those 8 words are very likely the best insight I've read thus far, In my opinion there is a sense of panic among the operatives of TPTB who have come face to face with the mortality of their evil... knowing they will soon be replaced by a generation of decently inclined people.

Outlasting our old dysfunctional evil warmongers will bring me much joy.

It's more complicated than that.

When the services are the family "tradition" it's no big deal, and it would been more surprising if he hadn't gone.

When the family tradition is cowardice, selfishness, or greed, the surprising choice is when they do show up and serve.

There are always a few cases of true conscientious objection, but one has to hunt on an individual level and get past the fakirs to find them.

"The battlefield is the United States of America."

One of the things statist's love is this elevation of their importance.  Those functionaries not 'in' on any agenda (if one assumes an agenda, which often I do) will go along because it enhances their sense of power.

True story.  Shortly after 9/11 some dweeb on our large construction worksite wrote something on a shithouse wall that looked like some kind of specific threat to attack the site.  We held a jobsite meeting of maybe 150+ guys and the head of security (whose main job was to keep vandals and tweekers out at night) and a big, fat donut eatin' SOB besides, starts the meeting with a serious look "Gentlemen, we are at war...."  I kid you not.  Suddenly, He was more important than all the guys who actually build the damn thing.

And politicians wonder why we disdain them?

I know the type. Used to hang out with a guy who thought 'Muslim terrorists are behind every corner'. His eyes would bug out and he'd get so excited spit would come from his mouth while he ranted. I presented all sorts of information on the history of the use of various Muslim factions going back to the British  playing of The Great Game of global power and divide & conquer. Showed him mainsream news reports on US support for Al Qaeda in Syria. That would totally lock up what little brain he had - it just didnt match his conditioning.  He got a supervisor job with some company providing 'security' at concerts; then his chest really would puff out. I wouldnt be surprised if his company told him they are all a part of the security of the homeland.  Got all his 'information' from Limbarugh and Hannity.  Talked about the Tea Party and Consitution, but was pefectly fine with trashing the Constitution to 'get the terrorists'.  What a dangerous moron.

It cuts both ways.  A society needs reasoned policies which balance individual rights and mob/group desires, and politicians strong enough to speak out about the difference.

The Paki in Pakistan was much also better with an AK-47, RPG, and explosives, than his chest puffing expat bar-bouncing extended cousins that I also knew and were living in the US, but then, so am I, even if I prefer the SIG or AR-15 platform.  There are no easy answers.

$250 credit to your EBT card for reporting "suspicious activity" such as someone talking about "Sovereign Man", buying Gold and Silver, or talking about "changing things".

I posit here that the message that we are about to painfully [and gratefully]receive is:

All types of governments, bureaucracies, state sponsered commercial and investment banking aand financial services and elite political partys' are damaging and a priori dysfunctional, while breeding into the aforesaid, corruptive cultures and practices that in turn necessitate wars, theft, murder, genocide, and ruined societys' to maintain nthe staus quo of a non-scientific based society; that is, a faith based cult in an environment of collectives vs. collectives and individualism is shunned.

To oppose such corrupt states of societal being, one runs the hugh risk of death, torture, incarceration and worse; ruin and loss of family; forced decoupling from one's milieu. The safe preference and the normal course is to join the thing called elite government and emulate those that call them "leadership" and pilfer the coffers of the public. All the while introducing Laws that protect this recursive scamming and looting [of the public which seriously inhibits a free flow of individual contributions to the society and creates (yes, 'creates') a priori, cyclic destruction of society.

The message: Create a society founded in the sciences, dump ideologies and their faith based necessity for "priests", rabbi and mulllah; the politicians, bureaucrats, bankers; the whole lot of these parasites.

Can this be achieved? Indeed but only if we find the will. A total burn on a global basis, will stimulate this will. And, don't hold your breathe but it comes.

Ho hum

Yeah, let's let some scientist decide if your genes are suitable for reproduction. Let's let some scientist decide if you can drive a car powered by gasoline, or use an old-fashioned light bulb. Let's let some scientist decide if you can use your own property as you sed fit, rather than conforming to some community model.

I consider all that you mention as part of the elite that rules today, and are a major part of the problem;

As science, I refer to applied intellect with integrity in objectivity. It does exist.

My statement suggests that No man should be or  Need be trusted! While Risk should be allowed to enhance unimpeded (where 'risk' is computable uncertainty). Where there is no risk, denial rules supreme!

Odd Point: Somebody commented that the cops, guard, local authority "were walking back and forth" at Sandy Hook. They made the same observation at the Boston Bombing. Some have implied that the "meme" is to implant the presence of heavy military occupation in our cities; to make it acceptable, to prepare us. Could it be this meme: show overwhelming numerical dominance, to instill fear and belief in overwhelming force. IT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE CORRECT! They are, and should be, afraid of us. It would be better if the powers that be would take strength from its poplulace. They wont because they know they've fucked up and are continuing to do so, they're doubling down on a bad bet. We can forgive a lot. We're not the enemy. The blood bath doesn't have to happen.

It is called scientific socialism in Britain, and it is  ruthlessly promoted under nicey names in the USA by the Trilateral Commission, using the Bilderberg Group as a marketing tool to cajole or coerce 'movers and shakers' into their fascist agenda.

Privately owned central banks = corporatism; a fascist state,  total control by big government  allied to biggest companies.

The USA is a battlefield in the minds of failed warmongers like McCain the overpaid career politician, and other Nazionists who never tire of war, so long as the blood and treasure of someone else pays for it.

And also: fair points, Simon. However, the USA has survived worse than its present clear and imminent dangers. As you say, adaptability is a timeless asset for individuals. I'm reminded of an old Chinese belief: the people survived in spite of their government...and the Chinese are the world's oldest continuous civilisation, so I'm inclined to like their long term thinking.

Buying physical gold, silver, land. Staying close to family and genuine community. These things have stood the test of time, and history is written by the victors.

Yes, it appears that the US is replicating Bolshevik Russia under Lenin as well as Nazi Germany under Hitler. Chris Hedges has become a remarkable writer and speaker but one gets the impression that nobody wants to hear his message; it has all happened before and comes now both to the US and the EU.

Skill testing Q: What Neocon, US Elder Statesman is old enough to have vividly remembered both the Bolsheviks and the Nazis, and to receive PDBs (Presidential Daily Briefings)? And was fond of making NWO comments?

You know how you get shitheads like McCain to shut the fuck up? You tell him that he can't pass any more laws...period. Then what could he do? He'd essentially be like a neutered, declawed cat.

I shall start a new band called the "Dead McCains" and we shall play awful, horrible music every day, always singing flat.

Israel must have cities AND streets and schools named McCain as reward for his daddy who was then a judge (IIRC) who allowed Israel to walk scott free for the cold blooded murder of about 50 US sailors on the USS Liberty.

McCain is one demonic SOB.

Debility (No universal healthcare)

Dependency (EBT)

Dread (MSM)

I couldn’t help thinking “Oh, you ARE masterful aren’t you, managing with no more resources than the army, SWAT teams, marines, an assortment of helicopters, the FBI and the entire population of Boston to track down a lunatic covered in blood who’d been shot through the neck and was wriggling about in a boat in someone’s garden. I wonder who you’ll meet in the SECOND round of the World Hide and Seek championships.”

Let's get practical... How many zeroes required, if Chile is so much cheaper? Chilean Doomsday retreat at US prices, or how do you manage supply, demand and prices?

Simple, normal questions, w/o agenda. A posting on your might help.

The other thing that history shows us, however, is that there are always a handful of people who see the writing on the wall and take action. And that action has almost universally involved looking abroad and diversifying internationally.

The Bush administration created NSEERS, the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System. NSEERS stopped at least 330 known foreign criminals and three known terrorists who had attempted to come into the country at certain official ports of entry.

When the Obama administration took over, as Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul pointed out this week, it indefinitely suspended the NSEERS pilot program and has no plans to revive it in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings.

0 successful terrorist attacks after 9/11 under Bush

5 successful terrorist attacks in 4 eyars under obama

PLEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

9/11 WAS a false flag attack.

The "terrorists" attacks under Obama's administrations seem to be false flag attacks too.

Boston is.

So about the "terrorists" who ad attempet to come into the country...

1) How do they identify "terrorists"? As they did with poor kid Tsarnaev? The poor guys in GTMO?

2) Deal with the INSIDE terrorists who are part of the Administration, first.

3) Worst terrorists are already INTO the US. Most of them were born in the US.

How do you call governments who invade countries and assasinate other presidents based upon lies?

P.S.: Please, don't insult, argue with facts and coherency.

I remember reading about Americans raising hell over a tiny tax increase. They would protest, march and demand fairness....now you cant get them off their couch! So long as there is a McDonald's just around the corner and they have a fresh set of batteries in their remote control, they are happy creatures! What happened to us?
