What No One Wants to Hear About Benghazi
Congressional hearings, White House damage control, endless op-eds, accusations, and defensive denials. Controversy over the events in Benghazi last September took center stage in Washington and elsewhere last week. However, the whole discussion is again more of a sideshow. Each side seeks to score political points instead of asking the real questions about the attack on the US facility, which resulted in the death of US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
Republicans smell a political opportunity over evidence that the Administration heavily edited initial intelligence community talking points about the attack to remove or soften anything that might reflect badly on the president or the State Department.
Are we are supposed to be shocked by such behavior? Are we supposed to forget that this kind of whitewashing of facts is standard operating procedure when it comes to the US government?
Democrats in Congress have offered the even less convincing explanation for Benghazi, that somehow the attack occurred due to Republican sponsored cuts in the security budget at facilities overseas. With a one trillion dollar military budget, it is hard to take this seriously.
It appears that the Administration scrubbed initial intelligence reports of references to extremist Islamist involvement in the attacks, preferring to craft a lie that the demonstrations were a spontaneous response to an anti-Islamic video that developed into a full-out attack on the US outpost.
Who can blame he administration for wanting to shift the focus? The Islamic radicals who attacked Benghazi were the same people let loose by the US-led attack on Libya. They were the rebels on whose behalf the US overthrew the Libyan government. Ambassador Stevens was slain by the same Islamic radicals he personally assisted just over one year earlier.
But the Republicans in Congress also want to shift the blame. They supported the Obama Administration’s policy of bombing Libya and overthrowing its government. They also repeated the same manufactured claims that Gaddafi was “killing his own people” and was about to commit mass genocide if he were not stopped. Republicans want to draw attention to the President’s editing talking points in hopes no one will notice that if the attack on Libya they supported had not taken place, Ambassador Stevens would be alive today.
Neither side wants to talk about the real lesson of Benghazi: interventionism always carries with it unintended consequences. The US attack on Libya led to the unleashing of Islamist radicals in Libya. These radicals have destroyed the country, murdered thousands, and killed the US ambassador. Some of these then turned their attention to Mali which required another intervention by the US and France.
Previously secure weapons in Libya flooded the region after the US attack, with many of them going to Islamist radicals who make up the majority of those fighting to overthrow the government in Syria. The US government has intervened in the Syrian conflict on behalf of the same rebels it assisted in the Libya conflict, likely helping with the weapons transfers. With word out that these rebels are mostly affiliated with al Qaeda, the US is now intervening to persuade some factions of the Syrian rebels to kill other factions before completing the task of ousting the Syrian government. It is the dizzying cycle of interventionism.
The real lesson of Benghazi will not be learned because neither Republicans nor Democrats want to hear it. But it is our interventionist foreign policy and its unintended consequences that have created these problems, including the attack and murder of Ambassador Stevens. The disputed talking points and White House whitewashing are just a sideshow.

I like Ron Paul but I'm still waiting for the promise he made to take on Bernanke. He seemed like a lone voice in the wilderness at times I know for sure, but when it came right down to it he backed off from what was necessary in the way of challenging the Fed. Which in my mind was to raise holy hell with him while he was in front of him at the Banking and Finance committee and he simply would not go there. Why I don't know. He talked in circles with Bernanke as we all recall about gold's value as an investment or as currency. At the end of the day Paul leaves Congress and we still have the psycho at the Fed with an unfettered lunacy of money printing. Congress's role is oversight and should not be an underling of anyone at the Fed.

I suppose the book "End the Fed" was not enough. Or that he introduced legislation every year to audit the Fed. And several times introduced bills to end the Fed. And is probably the single most influential person in the country to shine light on the role of the Fed.

Gosh ... a pretty mainstream approach to Benghazi.
How about trying this trail balloon on for size: The entire Benghazi operation was PLANNED from the beginning as a means to get arms to the rebels so that they could work on behalf of the CIA/Obama/globalists to destabilize the region. Stephens (while not inconcievable that he was supposed to be scacrificed to tie up loose ends) was supposed to be unharmed or captured then rescued by the glorious emperor "O".
However, the special forces guys got in the way and started to kill some of the CIA friendly Al Qaeda doods, so they initially did not know what to do. They withdrew. O'bummer tried desperately to get the specail forces guys to stand down and let the plot proceed so that Stephens and all of the weapons could be captured ... but they did not listen. They knew their duty when confronted with bad guys, CIA directed or otherwise.
Ultimately the CIA Al Qaeda forces, knowing their job, were able to overwhelm the two special forces guys ... especially since O'Bummer and the evil Clinton had called off all chances of rescue. The CIA Al Qaeda were forced to kill the special forces to get the weapons that they were promised ... but the delivery MUST get through to Syria or wherever.
Anything else, just appears to be propaganda and noise designed to distract us from the real truth is that essentially O'Bummer intentionally killed his own people so that he could covertly deliver weapons to the rebels. Congressman Paul is missing the real issue. Obama is a global interventionist. Global intervention is a two-edged sword. Neither of these statements is controversial.
But given that Obama had an ambassador in Benghazi, why did the Obama administration strip his security away, why did they fail to recognize the danger associated with a significant anniversary like September 11, why did they fail to respond to requests for aid and why did they tell the local military assets to stand down?
These are the core questions. Why did the Obama administration expose and then abandon Ambassador Stevens?
Because this "conulate" or "embassy" was really just an office handing out candy (like chem' weapons maybe?). This was about to go public so the administration's handlers had the building scrubbed.

Why isn't the mad bomber spending the rest of his life in prison for this war crime of attacking the sovereign nation of Libya? Congress did not approve this. Only congress can appoint him Commander in Chief by the act of declaring war on behalf of the represented. There is no Executive Order loophole.

Did Hillary set him up in the process? There's been speculation that she might get back at him from the day she handed the presidential run to O. back in the 2008 primaries.
Maybe this was her vendetta and because it got screwed up so badly, O. will have to take the fallout and resign. That is how things get done in DC. Not that O. makes a big deal about his lack of interest in being President anyway. He doesn't care about the job and it's pretty obvious. Biden won't get in the way when the Clintons call upon him.
One thing we can clearly notice is that Hillary Clinton is a work horse. That woman does not stop working politics. Barrack Hussein Obama on the other hand is either on vacation or on the golf course and that may be his role, but he could show at least some initiative to try and convince us otherwise.
He may very well be the worst President in the history of this country although his administration has been quite effective in curtailing American cilivian liberties. Fast and Furious by example, USG running guns to the enemy, turned out to be a training exercise for the real thing. once americans figure out why we're arming drug cartels, the taliban, and alqaida [so we can spend trillions of tax payer dollars to phony secutiry companies who [pretend] to defeat these things] then shtf. but the FBI has to periodically set up a sting in order to create enought terrorists to maintain funding. like the body counts in Vietnam, but way way more insane.
We're up to our eyeballs in debt and there's no more funding for these wars, proxy wars or otherwise.
But the military industrial complex cannot operate on an empty tank of gas. They need constant funding. There is no alternative.
Last time we were bankrupter than bankrupt and left without a distance to kick the can further was the time for a big war. No silly little strategic war games. Military supplies and machines need to get trashed in a massive way.
Executive orders will limit all other funding and direct most of the budget to fund the military industrial complex. Debt payments will be suspended for the time and partial defaults will be enforced. The US will call in its debts and/or favors a.k.a. "you're either with us or against us". Quid pro quo.
The next big war is coming. When and where is anybody's guess.
Repeat. There is no alternative option .. at least not in their playbook which is the only thing they will ever care to know.
the next big war will be a Cold War, and it's already started, between the United States Government and it's people. The objective in a Cold War is to disarm your opponent (gun control laws against private ownership, and gold ownership, while voters demand defense cutbacks to data gathering, and other forms of oppression. the people defund the government which oppresses them)
The methods in a Cold War are propaganda propaganda propaganda. Counter propaganda includes conspiracy theories, and self incrimination, in which charges which are never answered are tantamount to an admission of guilt. if obama says that Benghazi is a circus, that's a propaganda victory. if Bush flips the bird to the American people, that's like a volley and return in tennis. Reagan said, the bombing starts in five minutes, about the Soviets, but he was really sticking it up our ass, how many of us would die if he did that. JFK and the Cuban crisis was probably the first mass terror campaign by the USG against its people.

I tend to agree with RP on most things. BUT non-interventionism also carries unintended consequences.
And let's be straight: there are a shitload of radical muslims out there who plan to hunt us down and kill we "infidels" whether we intervene or not.
So, let's have an informed conversation about the trade-offs of the unintended consequences (and intended consequences) of both intervention and non-intervention and not dismiss one out of hand for one reason (unintended consequences) when that's true for both paths.

The whole deal around Benghazi is obviously all about arms smuggling that includes weapons of mass destruction. Both the demopublicans and republocrats are all guilty of the murders of Qaddafi, the Ambassador, and millions more. The babylonian US govt disassociated from the al-CIA-duh that are smuggling and using these arms from Libya at the time of the ambassador's murder(hit) because they knew they would begin the switch over to supporting them in Syria a few months later. What did they just give the Al-CIA-duh in Syria? One hundred million dollars?? That could have fed or housed a lot of homeless people in the USA.

Nobody here hates the isrealli people. In fact, most feel sorry for these poor people that are being wrongfully educated to hate, and wrongfully being set up like bowling ball pins to be knocked down after they have been USED to start the third world war. What to do? Have isreal cease all hostile actions towards all it's neighbors and start to promote peace and harmony with the same neighbors.
