Oklahoma Tornado Devastation: Before And After Picture
The biggest story of the early part of the week was the massive 1+ mile-wide Tornado ploughing through a suburb of Oklahoma City leading to dozens of deaths and billions in damage. And while the story has already faded from the 15 minutes of collective random access memory, the following aerial picture showing just how devastating nature can be when it so chooses, is one to behold.

Godwin's Law as applied to natural disasters; sooner or later some schmuck HAS to mention HAARP ...
Whaddayaknow....
A greenie for you...
This HAARP shit is so ridiculous.
Anyone that passed HS physics will know that the amount of energy required to modify weather is astronomical. Additionally, weather, like rain, storms, etc. require an energy carrier, "fuel," like water vapor and an energy gradient, or differential, as well.
So even if one could bring enough energy to bare on a large enough area, an energy carrier would need to be present in great enough quantities to absorb that energy. Conditions would also have to be such that a large enough energy gradient would be created to cause that energy to disassociate from its carrier.
HAARP = Unicorns
Careful, this is ZH an otherwise science free zone....
HAARP or no, the question is, is it possible to influence/manipulate the weather. How? To what extent? And for what purpose could this then be used.
If you say its not possible I will disagree. If you say the cost/benefits don't work out, then I am listening.
Why don;t you do some serious digging on your own and get back to us...
Do I have to hold everybodys hand when it comes to educating yourself?
Well, I know Thailand uses cloud seeding, and Austria makes attempts at hail prevention...
I actually live not too far from the HAARP facility, and have seen it on a couple of occasions, as well as the power lines feeding into it, and they are most certainly NOT the ultra-heavy-duty kind of lines that would have to exist to serve a facility that was feeding massive amounts of power into the atmosphere for nefarious purposes. For that matter, such huge electricity generating facilities, or the potential for such, simply does not exist ANYWHERE in the state of Alaska. I call bullshit on all this HAARP nonsense --- for once, it truly is just a "conspiracy theory".
Ha! Shows what you know.
They are using zero-point energy. It's got about 10 bazzilion times more umph than regular energy. They pull zero-point energy right out of the air, too. So after they pump it into the atmosphere to create hurricanes and earthquakes anywhere they want to, they pull it right back out and use it again later.
You are all blind to the truth.
You forgot about adding in the unicorn farts --- they are a very important part of the equation.
" They are using zero-point energy. "
Don't you wish everybody did?
Seriously, you're BEYOND stupid and believe in unicorn-power.
Get lost.
He was joking.
They have about a dozen 4,000 kw generators on-site, so they aren't bringing in external power when running experiments.
Shhhh ... a man that knows the truth, well, now, we JUST can't have that now can we?
Science Person: Do you understand catalyst?
Do YOU understand RF transmission?
HAARP exists. Whether it manipulates the weather is up for debate. Geoengineering and weather mod is standard today. This has been going on for 50 years. Lynmouth flood (UK) in 1952 is a good starting point to understand the beginnings of weather modification and its unintended or intended consequences.
Odd, but I have not seen any stories about people waiting for FEMA to rescue them.
No pleading for Uncle Sugar to ride onto the scene.
No widespread looting.
No need to deploy private contractors to protect businesses and infrastructure.
No widespread raids on pharmacies.
Hmmmmmm.....
Gotta love those hearty fly-over state residents.
Self sufficient and determined.
10:1 those neighborhoods are completely rebuilt within 1-2 years.
Reporting this in the MSM will do nothing to help their cause of getting people hooked on 'public assistance' or making people in less than 1 generation rush out at once during whats shaping up to be an all out financial collapse to plead for help from the government to save everyone from themselves so we can morph and live under the new 1 government 1 bank rule
Where's that c*nt Connie Chung? She's supposed to have flown in and berated these stupid rednecks for not crying FEMA yet. How will these "flyover country" rubes survive this with our Big Momma government? The horror!
OK is one of the Red States.
(literally: "people - red", but that is another storyline)
looks like sim city IRL
;(
forget it
not the same area. the "after" has no lake/water feature.
Follow the roads from left to right. It's one big photo showing 50% before and 50% after.
thus, not the same area.
I see...so the tornado must have touched down right on the cut line then. You win!
With HAARP you can do shit like that. Seriously.
Idiot.
Another Class A "idiot" that 'believes' (because it's on some sort of odd twisted FAITH because he SURE hasn't worked through the logic of it) in HAARP.
What a waste of human potential.
Might as well believe in UNICORNS, 'moran'.
With HAARP you can do shit like that. Seriously.
Well, that sure cheered me up.. I needed a laugh today- gave you a grinnie..
Come on out and I'll personally take you to the affected area. Fair warning, I might leave you there.
I was relieved to hear that only 24 people lost their lives, I thought the number would be in the hundreds.
I have to wonder though, how many underground shelters, for elementary schools, would $85 billion a month buy ???
I have built a couple of schools that had pipe tunnels under the hallways and an escape hatch in each classroom. Response time for shelter is theoretically 60 seconds with proper announcement. For new construction, it is not outrageously expensive, and it makes maintenance and upgrade of building systems easier and cheaper. Of course those were single story schools out in the hinterlands, so, it might not work in denser communities.
Tell you what. If all they did was make hallways between classrooms out of reinforced cinder blocks with a concrete slab ceiling, kids could huddle there and miss 90% of the flying debris even if the classrooms are demolished. The doors into classrooms are already fire-proof, could probably withstand a F5 and if not then go with steel doors. The "hallway" becomes the retreat.
Run into the hallway, close the doors, ride it out.
Not well thought out I know, I'm not a civil engineer. But if I could come up with that in 30 seconds I imagine a civil engineer could hammer together a working spec in an afternoon. And even if it wouldn't ride out an F5 at 100% at least you'd have something better than hiding under the desk with nothing at all.
Welcome to ZH, Chris Davis. Keep hitting those HRs.
"going dark on the ZH front." bill paying time here folks...move along.
There's enough broken windows there to restart the European, Japanese, and American economies.
Or a before/after photo of the Japanese Treasury building?
It will be rebuilt in 6 months..not two years..these are get er done type of people...and they know their neighbors..and they will help too...people make fun of the midwest..but its a great place to live...
No doubt; hard working, honest, humble people that trust each other and work together. I'm a Jayhawk myself, but fond of the okies nontheless.
Some will stay, some will leave. That area has been hit three times: [http://missywpp.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/threes.jpg] in recent history. Some of the foundations were removed by the city for those who didn't rebuild from the last two.
I left...
I left. Oh, wait, I never lived there. I live in Florida with hurricanes, giant pythons, rogue alligators, drug cartels, a lunatic fringe, and a smattering of old people.
Florida is also where the rats go to die or start a new cash for gold scam.
Maybe just not that part of the Midwest? I live in Indiana and at least in my lil part of Tornado Alley we rarely get F5 tornados!
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky tacky,
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.
I live five blocks north of the tornado path and that damned thing destroyed my running park and just barely missed my kids school. Third time its just missed my house. I beginning to think my luck has to run out.
I grew tired of my property being destroyed on a yearly basis and moved East. The weather and scenery are better.
The Master Bater has spoken.
DO NOT PRAY TO THE MASTER OF MASTERBATION!
Master, Maybe we don't understand what "Absolute zero" means.
+ infinity -Infinity=0
2>n-2>n=0
Zero can contain everything in the universe.
I suggest you read up on Cantor and some set theory and also some infinite series re: the first and your second preposition is not valid for all n assuming standard notation (i.e. what n represents)...
Actually, I would venture that you are a poseur...
Funny the writer acts like it is bad for the story to have faded when it is this same site that didn't even make ONE post about that sweatshop clothing factory in Bangladesh collapsing (that was used to make many North American company clothing products) killing over 1000 people mainly because of building and safety violations. Apparently not reporting that is A-OK but not talking about a tornado in the U.S of A is an issue.
No American bias there.
Nature is a mother and there are too many people on this planet anyway.
False flag
It would be nice if the before and after pictures were of the same location but I guess that's asking too much.
They need to find a better way to travel over the rainbow. This tornado express just ain't workin well.
NOLA .... CHOCOLATE TOWN..... LOTS OF AID AND ATTENTION
SANDY .... TOO MANY WHITE FOLKS.. LET EM HANG OUT FOR ... I MEAN SOUNDBITE.."I WILL CUT THE RED TAPE"... NEWSFLASH.... STILL PEOPLE LIVIN IN THE SHELTERS AND STREETS... AND LOTS OF RED TAPE..AND EMPTY HOUSES... EXCEPT FOR PHOTO OP KRISPY KREME... A MINUTE SECTION OF THE BIG PICTURE
OKLAHOMA..... TOO MANY WHITE FOLKS ..... TURN ON THE RED TAPE MACHINE PLEASE ... THANKS
I live here, I was actually down there yesterday helping my best friend clean up what is left of his property, I can assure, "red tape" around here is a suggestion, when the local law enforcement laughs at the beuracrat telling you that you can't do something you feel pretty good about just going ahead and doing it. It really is a complete disaster down there, I've never seen anything even close to it.
We'll be reminded of this story when it's part of an explanation for some bad economic numbers.
I thought that was a photo of Detroit.
Have they revised the Death Toll back down to "4" yet?
Yea bitchez build more houses made from paper and shit glued together with horse shit. I'm sorry for all the joe six pack who buys those for over $250 a pop. This is just a huricane imagine a war, there will be nothing left!
But but it's good for the economy!
