Tea Party Blasts Boehner "The Senate Deal Is A Complete Sellout"

Tyler Durden's picture

While the House looks set to vote for the Senate bill and kick the can just a little down the road, the Washington Post reports that at least one tea party group is calling for Republicans to hold their ground.

"The Senate deal is a complete sellout.  Speaker Boehner and the House should stand firm and reject this deal to reign in the executive branch’s power before it is too late,”

-Tea Party Patriots head Jenny Beth Martin said.

“The House ‘leadership’ must stop playing ‘flinch’ with themselves, and instead, play hardball with the White House, the Senate, and the House. Otherwise, hard-working Americans are going to bear the burden of this unaffordable law (Obamacare). The American people will hold those responsible for this mess accountable.”

Its the "people's house", dumbass.  Maybe you should get a set as big as her's and pick a side.  Keeping the power in the House IS what is right for the country.

Apparently you are MR. Jenny Beth Martin.

Your mouth is in obvious confirmation of and disproportionately horribly affected by your imbecility.

You somehow seem to have tied your disaffected nether regions to your vocal cords.

That sadly terminal problem for you is seriously affecting your central nervous system ability to make logical argument aside from bloviated epithet.

Get it?

In simple, very simple language for you:

Drop dead because you have no more idea of what is right for the country than you have any idea which end of a horse your face most closely resembles.

But it is quite obvious by your comment that it is not the horses front end.

Damn!  I would love to buy you for what you are worth and sell you for what you THINK you are worth!

All that blah blah and you didn't say jack shit!

I know this!  This is the greatest form of gov the world has ever experienced and it was great when it operated within the guidelines of the the rulebook (the Constitution).  They took senators away from the people, the president has been a silver spoon prima dona for the last 40 years, the Supreme Court has always been full of over educated, self bloviating fools, and the House is the people's last stand before we go to total anarchy.

We are in anarchy right now and it is only the character of the average American that holds this society together.  The Tea Party is full of people who work hard, honor thier  commitments, and obey the rules.  Hell, the gov doesn't even do that anymore and when they make rules, they love to exempt themselves.  We have no leadership, and when the House refuses to listen to the people, we have no representation.  Just a matter of time and this will collapse on itself.

Don't bring your liberal ass to my house looking for a handout, unless it is lead you seek.  Some of you fear the thought of ever being without Washington, while others of us dream of the day it sinks into the swamp on which it sits.

Most everyone is going to have to wake up and realize that most people in this country (tea party included) could not handle the pain that is necessary to set it back on the right track.

It will take what it took to win this country in the first place; blood, sweat, tear, etc.  The parallels between what is going on in Washington and how we were being treated under king George are sooooooo clear.  Why do we think what didn't work back then will work today?  Why would we think it would not take the same thing today as it did back then?

We have lost the grit to get it done?

Gimma a break,  everybody that MATTERS is living REAL fine off of their favorite Big-Gov scam:  Big-Ag, Big-MIC, Big-Road, Big-Water, Big-Airport, Big-Energy, Big-Ed, Big-House, Big-Fin, Big-OldFart, Big-OldFartHealthcare, Big-AntiDrug, & Big-PoliceState.

When the OldFart demand their socialism gets cut, then you'll know IF "We have lost the grit to get it done" or not.

Until then, it's all "Conservative" (with the quotes) bullshit.

That Big-Gov scam I'm living off of isn't socialism, it's an investment in our children's future.

Tell ya what, write me a check for every dime I've put into the ponzi scheme, plus interest, and you can take me off the SS rolls next year when I hit 66. You win, your 30-something pals win, and I'll survive just fine knowing I won't have to listen to all the whining about how boomers are going to destroy your ability to buy a new iToy every 18 months.

+1.  you are absolutely right. blood sweat tears and sadly a decrease in population would have to occur for any chance of prosperity moving forward. the countrys population growth has occurred due to generous benefits and artificial economic growth, both of which can no longer be sustained. sadly, we have masses of people that are left with no skills, no incentive, no avenue for self sustainment.  there are far too many people who are conditioned to believe the government is needed in all its glory to resolve their issues.

its impossible to move forwards within the current paradigm.

Do it yourself negotiations tend to be a bit more flamboyant than the representational kind but that's to be expected when the majority of 535 reps are pretty damn comfy just coasting along.

Personally, I would have loved to see the Boner grab Reid and punch the everloving shit out of him but that's just me and my preference for proactive problem solving methods.

It ain't over until it is over but this theater should set the table for 2014 midterms. That is the real fight for change here. This is where the vets lead charge and everyone else backs it up at all levels. There is more of us than them just a matter of coordinating small decentralized groups to work towards the same ends using local tactics. Can't have one large central group they will attack and shut it down before it can be effective small and spread out is the key. It is the net sum that counts not the size of a single aggregation.

You fuckers know what you got to do so get cracking and start with your friends and neighbors and build from there. Build from bottom up, build to last.

As they do it in certain communities, force multipliers bitchez. Lot more effective in working locally using a few well trained individuals to organize and focus locally where there is still trust among individuals than trying to create a giant organization and getting everyone to join up at once. I don't mean just the typical stuff one thinks of, you create strong local communities that can operate outside the system maximizing local resources and that includes financial skills, land management, infrastructure, communication systems etc. You need people with individual skills and a systems engineer type in these small scale force multiplier teams and then have them help locally leverage it so the sum is something to be reckoned with. Birds of a feather and amplification effect.

Time to short the system every way possible. Bitcoins, refuse to use debt cards except at the bank to withdraw cash, don't file tax returns, etc. IRS should be taken head on next. Go after the mouth that keeps the beast fed. It is quite simple short the system every way possible (you don't have run around with a gun playing rambo to short the system( and only use where necessary and no more than that. Vote with your actions and wallet, it is not rocket science.

If you have never been to a Tea Party meeting and you have no farmers in your first degree network, you will not understand my response.

Tea Party people are as independent as farmers. These people are uncontrollable and this independence will likely be their downfall. As any organization--republicans, democrats...--, they need money and they take money from anyone with the means and interest to give. As we all know, money equals power; however, Tea Party is driven by principles much more so than republicans and democrats. The Declaration of Indepence, Constitution, The Creator, Individual Effort/Hard Work and Independence are their foundation that provides their confidence to stand strong. MSNBC and the MSM fear their confidence because they think they are the wise men (god of the stupid masses) and there is no god above them.  I admire the Tea Party people even though I remain a republican and fear their divisive power.

Per Scalia and Thomas, you pick outcomes to support your point. Playing your silly game, who the hell appointed John Roberts? John Roberts allowed the USA government to tax people who do not do what the government tells them to do. The PRECEDENCE this sets for a fascist state to control your life is mind-boggling!

You personify Stockholm Syndrome.

May you rot in Hell for your willful stupidity, your willful ignorance and your craven acquiescence to corrupt and increasingly tyrannical authority.

I am tired of trying to be patient and civil with the enablers of Big Brother evil such as yourself.  If you can't see that bigger, more powerful and more intrusive government is the REAL problem by now, and certainly NOT the answer to the manifold problems of its own creation, then you are either too stupid or too insane to EVER see reality for what it is, or to justify your pathetic existence on this earth.

This was a total win, a TKO, for TPTB. We got what we deserve.

It is incredible to see that the fate of the US economy depends on the attitude of an extreme-right organisation, the Tea Party. If Obama had balls, he should send the leaders of this gang to jail, like the Greeks did with the Golden Dawn....

Good luck pussy.  Obuttfuck ain't dumb.  There would be a civil war over night.  The problem is these "tea party folks" come from the only states that produce anything.  Your pilot light price would increase 10x overnight without them.  Plus they can shoot.

What, the TSA and your mamma going to come after them??

Nanny Sam and the DHS know they are out gunned and outnumbered.   They will need more than the billion rounds they have on hand for just Texas.

Unfortunately the TEA party began with great intentions and ended up getting compromised by NeoCon fatasses afraid of the direction the wind was blowing. So here we are still, languishing in the two party dungeon, hating absolutely every draconian measure that comes out of Mordor. It's a fucking bag of cocks to deal with, because you can only not cooperate to a certain extent and still survive within the framework of the society. Goddammit.  Again, go long on guillotines, because I think one day we'll be needing them.

Apparently nobody here understands the fucking strategy.
It was goddamn brilliant.
C'mon man, don't be stupid.

The GOP can now walk up to the can that was kicked into February & say "look what we did." "We went against every ideal we have, we so far alienated ourselves from our constituents that it's borderline insane. We did that, because we could not stand to see America fail. Now, it is only fair that you, the democrats, to sacrifice your ideals & your integrity to do what's right for America."

Entitlement reform is a shoe-in now. Don't know why nobody else sees that. Here comes the grand bargain & chained CPI.

The Senate deal is a dirty piece of evil that hands the president dictatorial powers regarding the Constitutional power to 'borrow money on the credit of the United States'. The Senate 'deal' means that from now on, the government's power to borrow money (and thus obligate Americans to pay it back) is now in the hands of the president (dictator), as it requires a 2/3 vote by Congress to override the president whenever he wants to 'up' his credit limit (debt ceiling). So if the president wants to spend money for anything - was, spying on Americans, etc. - he will have very little restraint. Many Democrats probably think this is great as Obama is president and Republicans control the House. Perhaps they will regret it when this is no longer true.

In the mean time, it is time a to start a new political party - the Public Debt Repudiation Party - with
the platform to refuse to pay holders of Treasury bonds. Anyone who voluntarily loans his money to the government does not deserve to get paid back. If Congress won't stop the President from inflicting debt on the people, then the people need a new party that just says NO to paying it back.
