What's the problem with those people in the advert?

They are skinny compared to the rest of the sheeple... so it does not cater to the real public

Notice these ads NO WHERE have the cost of the premiums.

It's like they want you to see it last on purpose, so it won't get focused on.

I'd like to see the ad where a guy gets a high health bill or is denied care.  "But I have 'insurance', bro!"

If that was real then it is an obvious FRAUD to collect money from Washington D.C.

That is the way Washington D.C. does everything these days.

Fortunately for us the DHS and FEMA are also supplying the globalists with comparable services.

It's real. http://www.cohealthinitiative.org/blog/2013-10-22/got-insurance

Thanks for going full libtard Colorado. I hope the North of the state break away from the South. SECESSION!

by Adam Fox, Director of Strategic Engagement

We should all be able to answer "yes" to the question "Got Insurance?" That's why today we launched our new social media campaign, "Got Insurance?" with ProgressNow Colorado Education to raise awareness of the new health insurance options available for Coloradans. It's not too much to ask to get the care you need when you need it, and see your doctor without unpredictable costs.

Colorado's new insurance marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado, can help Coloradans get affordable health insurance with financial assistance to reduce monthly premiums.

Modeled after the iconic Got Milk? ad campaign, Got Insurance? features everyday Coloradans with a message to the under- and uninsured that they now may be able to afford and purchase health insurance. The 'ads' link to a website that prepares health insurance shoppers to take the next step, enrolling in insurance through their marketplace. The campaign will roll out new content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and Pinterest weekly, and all the campaign images are housed on the website doyougotinsurance.com. You can easily share the images from the website and join in the conversation!

“Got Milk? is one of the greatest ad campaigns of all time. Everybody saw it, everybody remembers it,” said Jen Caltrider of ProgressNow Colorado Education. “When you’re trying to reach people and let them know new, affordable health insurance options may be open to them, keeping it simple is the best way to go. Got Insurance? is a question with a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answer.  If you answer ‘No’ then you’ll benefit most from heading on over to doyougotinsurance.com”

We intend to continue the Got Insurance? campaign at least through December 15th, when people need to have enrolled to gain coverage starting January 1st, but hope to continue it throughout the open enrollment period that ends March 31st.

Yeah, those models had graduated college recently and of course can't find jobs - this "recovery" has completely destroyed the hopes of college students actually finding jobs after they graduate.

Like I said in another thread, this morning, my local paper had a full page of letters to the editor bitching about how their old plans were no longer avaliable and their costs were shooting through the roof.  One fixed income woman said that she received a letter telling her that she had to pick a plan, none of the options were affordable on her fixed income, and if she didn't, they'd pick one for her and just take the payments from her bank account.  Should that prove to be true and should it be on a wide enough scale, the pitchforks and torches will come out.  A lot of the new transplants here won't do much, but the natives have been known to shoot up court houses, block roads, show up armed to remove said road blocks, etc... in modern history.

The people here are buying it because the law says they have to, but, in reality, they ain't buyin' it.  Perhaps the FSA is, but they tend to run and hide once they realize that you're packing.

The US government PWNS AIG (or what's left of it)

AIG has experience building online applications to sell insurance and operates in all 50 States

Despite all the BULLSHIT claims that "Obamacare" is more than a website, all they actually had to a week ago was launch a website with single online application that comes in 30-some-odd front-end state flavors.

Why should .gov/.sux pay a dime to Bill or Larry, when they could have paid half a billion to AIG and taken the whole half billion right back to finance another episode of the John & Barry debt ceiling melodrama, and then bragged about a better ROI on AIG (or is Barry still struggling with his profits-to-earnings ratios?).

To answer brood mare for the state the average pregnancy I believe costs about $6000 when you get the bill. Do the fucking math when your deductable is over 6k how much it costs you. You don't need medical insurance to know what that cost is. Just ask someone who has had a kid in the past year what the bill was. When they can't afford it they stiff the hospital so they have to know what it is in the first place. That ain't changing with high deductable insurance that don't cover shit anyways.

As everyone knows, Obama Care was written by the US Health Insurance Lobby. This is a proven fact. It was thus written to force Americans to buy shity and expensive coverage from one of thousands of rip off artist health insurance companies. Obama is thus a fascist. He uses the force of government to force people to become customers of big business. The few bones thrown to people, like pre-existing conditions, are helpful for some, but on the whole, this just feeds the monsterously profitable health insurance industry as they take more and more of the Health Care dollar as profit, and less and less goes to patient services.

Obama is a fascist thug. A proven fact!

Obama is a terrorist. A proven fact [look at Syrian Al-Qaeda US terror army]

Obama is a slave of the Health Insurance Industry. Obama Car proves this to be fact.

Obama is a war monger. A fact proven by his drone wars, which are illegal under all international law.

Obama is a neo-con.  His build up to war against Syria and Iran prove this.

Obama uses government as a tool for big corporate interests to crush small business and employees. Wages fall, jobs go to China, corporate profits soar, small business collapses. Only the well connected major corporations and banks prosper under the Obama thug government.

Will a Republican make this all better? You must be fucking joking! Two faces of the same corporate fascist state. The people will continue to be spyed upon and enslaved by debt. Two parties, one agenda.

"Piss on the bloody lot of 'em."

Nothing will change. Just window dressing. Obama Care is a joke. Corporations wrote the law, so what if repubs voted against it, they didn't have to vote yes. Their friends in the health insurance industry cashed in and repubs got to win a political point. Remember, this is a game. It is played to get the public excited that they have a choice. I shall be tracking the newxt republican president carefully. The changes will be more extreme corporate control and fascism. The fact is proven already. Hardly needs repeating.

Half the ads I see on TV are for Medicare-related insurance policies or products paid for by Medicare "at no cost to you". But since the last election, I've not seen a single ad that mentions Obamacare. Either insurance companies don't *want* to sell ACA policies (because only the sickest people would sign up for them), or they think no one under 65 watches TV anymore.

the great thing about Obamacare is that the premiums are so high, people like the ones in the ads won't be able to afford hobbies like golf, kayaking and rock cimbing.  i wish i could be in the same room when one of them realizes " i got this health insurance but now i don't have money to buy a new bike.  Hey mom , could i borrow like $3K?"

The destruction of America’s culture is well pronounced in these messages: beer money priority, “do I got insurance?”, “rode to recovery,” and of course the bovine approach to pregnancy. This is the under culture: the drinking, the trash talk, the disrespect, and the ignorance. Pictured here are whites as the false representatives of this sub-culture eating away at America, but it is not true. This, instead, is the culture of Obama’s base – much of which will be the recipients of free and subsidized health care.

Why are whites portrayed in this false manner? It is the forced association of everyone down to the lowest common denominator by the state.  And that is the objection to state control of property, health and life itself…it is the rulers pushing America and America’s white youth down to serfdom.

And it's now mandatory. You and yours cannot escape the onslaught.

According to Mr Spock, the engineering solution would be to have rates be indexed to desired Service Level and Risk Profile.

E.g.  Rate = Level * Risk = $/hr * hr/yr = $/yr

Where...

Care Level = 1-5 (1=Illegal/Undocumented, 2 = Basic, 3 = Standard, 4 = Premium, 5 = Elite) -->  $/Hr

Risk (level) = Projected Number of Hrs of medical care needed per year, based on health and lifestyle profiles. --> Hrs/Yr

This is just like in life insurance policies --> read 'Legal Precedent'!  Note, if your Risk Level results in fees you cannot afford, you may have to choose a Care Level you can afford.  Otherwise #1 or #2 will be selected for you.

Problem solved.  Mostly.

This computer kerfuffle is a distraction. The meme is going to be "well, they fixed that, now everything will be OK."

It is not just that after three years and billions in no-bid contracts, this only needs some code tweaks. And it is not just the many exemptions, to the unions and other favored units, for instance, the exemption granted to McDonalds after they announced that they were hiring 50,000 new employees in a month (pure PR, McDonalds hires 50,000 new employees every month).

Of course, it is called the Affordable Healthcare Act in the long tradition of naming a government program in sheep's clothing. It has nothing to do with healthcare and everything to do with who controls the information, the spending, and who gets the money.

The real problem is that this is a plan to transfer wealth and destroy the economy. When the somewhat independent middle class becomes as beholding to the government as the very dependent welfare class, the plan has succeeded.

When this plan has sucked the marrow from small and medium-sized business, it will destroy contributions to the opposition, and the plan will have succeeded.

This plan will be a cancer on this economy which, if left untreated, will wreak terminal destruction.

Apparently he isn't in jail anymore. John McAfee speaks on the disaster that is healthcare exchange websites and how easy it is to defraud people using fake ones. The brosurance crowd is going to be easy marks for this one.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/john-mcafee-predicts-hackers-will-empty-ob...

Obamacare websites have "no safeguards" to protect Americans who enroll in the health insurance exchanges from hackers who will "empty your bank account," according to internet security pioneer John McAfee.

McAfee said he could create a fake Obamacare exchange website for "a couple hundred dollars" and expect a big return on the scam.

"I'll ask you your social security, your date of birth, [so] an hour later I can empty your bank account," he told Fox News' Gretchen Carlson.

"And this is going to happen, it's going to happen soon. Nothing in the Obamacare system safeguards against this," he said.

The interview was a follow-up to McAfee's conversation with Fox's Neil Cavuto last week.

"There is no central place where I can go and say, 'OK, here are all the legitimate brokers and examiners, for all of the states,' and pick and choose one," McAfee told Cavuto.

"[I]nstead, any hacker can put a website up, and make it look extremely competitive, and because of the nature of the system — this is health care, after all — they can ask you the most intimate questions and you're freely going to answer them."

The telling aspect to this, and also the saddest, is that I imagine all of us are actually trying to figure out if this is a farce or if this is how the U.S. of 'murica views its citizens.  In fairness, the government, if in fact they do view the citizens as identifying with simplistic and cartoonish stereotypes, is quite right.  Additional credit is due to the government by the fact that if you do not respond to simplistic and cartoonish stereotypical characters by believing their utter nonsense, you are an enemy of the state and will be monitored closely and killed during your resistance to the raid by 35 law enforcement officers storming your home at 2:00AM on a random Wednesday night with a no-knock warrant signed by a judge presiding over a secret court of which the judiciary readily admits it has no qualifications to oversee.   Ah, vodka martinis, really fucking dirty ones, make me digress.

I am surprised the NSA botched the roll out of the website so badly. You would think that with all their funding and expertise they would have done a better job. All of you medical files are national security, according to NDAA, and there is no better agency to keep your records than NSA. Pffff my doctor recently threw out 35 years worth of my records because it would cost them too much to convert the hard copies to electroic. See I had been healhty for more than seven years so he considered me no longer a patient. When I went back last year for a checkup I had start a whole new file.

Before you can even get an estimate, they make you make an account and give out some very personal information.

Then after you have spent 20 minutes, they tell you of their Privacy Policy which you MUST accept before being allowed to continue. The privacy policy basically says, we can collect any information on you that we want, and that we can keep that information for as long as "we need it", and that we can have the Department of Homeland Security investigate you and your family, and also State Agencies or Local Agencies (of any sort)

They also promise to protect all your information, even though they cant even make a website work.

What a joke. A sad sick joke on America

I think (from the outside looking in) that the incompetence of the avowed signature legislation is risable. Of course, anyone with one forth of one half a brain knows that the thousands of pages of legislation is not to serve the taxpayer but to expand the bureaucratic enforcement of law. Every socialist state knows this. When will the people )not the so-called sheeple) get the fact the the dog herding them in is wagging his tail.
