The Obama Administration is Forcing Insurance Companies To Keep Quiet About Obamacare Problems

Just when you think the Obama Administration can’t stoop any lower they immediately come in and surprise you. In this incredible clip from CNN, we learn that insurance company executives are being threatened with retribution if they publicly criticize the rollout of ObamaCare, or inform the public about some of the most pressing issues with the disastrous healthcare plan.
In the most powerful part of the clip, Robert Laszewski, the President of Health Policy and Strategy Associates, LLC claims that healthcare executives warned the Obama Administration about severe problems with the rollout ahead of time, and that they were completely ignored. Our government in an inept mafia. Nothing more, nothing less.

Oh crap, this not right, it was in there from the beginning and I remember it as policies had to meet certain parameters and the problem is the "under insured"...this has been so bad. If you want to know the "real"story read my post. What happened was insurers came out with "bare bones" policies that were "affordable" and this was after the law was passed. Again I remember this very well that insurance was going to have to meet some general guidelines to be effective coverage.

Insurance companies on their own over the years have cancelled certain policies and replaced them with others...happened to me about 10 years ago, Obamacare was not even a thought yet...geez...
People do have a valid concern if all of a sudden their premiums go sky high from a bare bones type of policy I agree and the next think to do is go over to the half working exchanges and get a quote one way or another or call up the insurance company and raise hell, believe me insurers makes tons of mistakes themselves and can't keep even send out letter and keep straight who's in network and who's in not. I have written a few posts about situations like this and then come back and sorry the letter were a mistake.

This coverage has really been not reported correctly for what it is. Yes if insurers added their 2 cents to this misreporting, it would look worse and most of them are set up with revenue streams that don't need one penny from the exchanges especially United.
Insurance companies wrote the fucking law. Obamacare is the insurance companies' bailout. There has been PR blowback from stock values and premiums going through the roof, so Obama/gov is being blamed. But it's a symbiotic thing, with the goal being transfer of wealth from the have-lesses to the have-moars. By necessity there is a bottleneck and purposeful systemic dysfunction in the system in order to rationalize failure to deliver on promises. You have $X available to cover $10X of claims. That's what "free" healthcare means. It's Freudian wish fulfillment that only the sheeple could believe in. But Obama's black and metrosexual; and it's so environmentally correct to die young. :(

1. To the poster who believes gold will go up: Not true. Just the opposite. When you need money you sell and that brings it to market. 2nd no one really cares about gold anymore. It is, and has been called, a relic.
2. What you are seeing in Obomacare is the sheer brilliance of John Roberts, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. With his decision, he said to the people of the United States, are you men or are you mice? Are you going to let the government basterds run every part of your life? Take everything you have in taxes of one form or another? Add it up: income tax, local taxes, real estate taxes, business taxes, consumption taxes, hidden taxes from here to there, not the least of which are all the taxes that Large/Big Biz pays that are hidden in the price of everything you buy and use. I laugh when I hear people talk about paying taxes for welfare...that is exactly what drove businesses overseas. AS the welfare plans expanded, business had no choice but look for a way to make their costs cheapter: Voila! Take everything overseas. Rinse Repeat. People yell at business for taking jobs overseas but they should be yelling at Clinton, who hid giant welfare programs under various names. Seriously is it "welfare" when a woman has four kids gets food stamps, housing subsidies, free medical for all of them and then her daycare paid for. What does a professional have to earn to equal that before they are ahead of her?

What's funny is that supposedly these companies are publicly traded. They're owned by someone else. The CEO is just a manager of someone else's assets and the like. How successful you are in using someone else's property to contract for new business might, you know, be something the owners of that asset (aka shareholders) would like to know. Maybe, you know, those shareholders would like to know if this is being managed properly, if there's a real opportunity here and if it's been managed correctly. Then perhaps they can decide if this warrants addition capital or a new management team is needed.
But no. It's too politically inconvenient to tell shareholders what's going on.
Can we just admit that there's no such thing as health insurance? That's it's really a dunning system for third party health payments with managers taking a cut of every policy. Large insurance companys have so far dopped over 2 Million policies, many, many more to come.
All those policies brought in big cash, every month, year after year.
I don't know of any industry that gets richer by giving up billions in revenue.

Why would a person buy insurance unless it cost less than the actual healthcare?
Why would insurance companies provide healthcare for less than it costs them?
This is all part of the same paradigm of "something for nothing" that is driving the whole world off of the cliff.
We buy insurance because we believe it will ultimately cost less than the healthcare we all fear we need. There are but two ways this can happen. The first is to have people who use no healthcare to pay for those who do. The second is to "create" money to cover the shortfall by borrowing and printing. Obviously government can only do this, and we know it is not sustainable.
At some point we will have to accept the problem is the COST of healthcare, not insurance, and the demand drives these costs. We demand more everyday from healthcare and will sue the crap out of them when anyone dies while in their care. It is our expectations that are crushing us and Obama is more than happy to step in and give us exactly what we ask for....something for nothing, the cost of which is incalculable.
It still comes down to alignment of motivations:

This whole thing began as an attack on insurance companies, demonizing them as the cause of rising costs. If you recall many insurance compaines were threatened by Obama while this monster was being drawn up. There was talk of massive increases in cost to cover his mandates, and they were told to shut up or else. Just like GM bond holders if you recall. Insurance companies, just like the rest of us, are looking at which way the winds are blowing and figuring on how to surive if not profit. Ultimately the insurance companies knew they couldn't win in a head on battle, so they capitulated (like about everyone else) and took the best path. Obama would mandate coverage to ensure these companies would retain revenues while the heads of these comapnies knew that ultimately increasing costs would collapse the "system" and they would carry the blame. But they already have their money stash and they could give a fuck if insurance companies, as they currently exist, would survive. As we see the disaster of government management, the drive will be to nnationalize these companies to gain their expertise, while effecting the ulimate goal of government control, and ultimately single payer. Insurance is wealth redistribution, healthy paying for the sick. Government is th eultimate insurance company, redistributing the wealth of the prosperous to the less prosperous needy. Government wants NO competition and in the corporate template is absorbing any and all competitors.

If Obamacare makles it more difficult to see a doctor and be subject to his pharmacological manipulations maybe Americans will slowly begin to regain their health. I know more prople whose lives and health have been destroyed by our "health care" system than I know people who have been made whole.
It doesn't. What it does is force all rates up because everyone now must pay as if they had pre-existing conditions that can't be denied.
No one can be cut off or charged more for pre-existing conditions but limits on price are NOT set so now you MUST pay the insurance company and MUST pay an additional fine for each year you don't pay one and all the rates are doubling or something else awful.
