It is quite easy for the TPTB to make a mess of bitcoin and the like.
They simple need to make it law, via IRS or anything...that the sale of anything over a certain value must have and maitain proof of cash, cheque or trade payment recorded with it, with a fine coming to anybody selling an asset without keeping such proof.
My tulip bulbs turns into a pretty flower given the proper conditions, bitcoin turns into kiddie porn. I'll pass thank you.
