"You're Simply Continuing To Feed The Wolves Of Wall Street" - One Victim's Open Letter To The Kings Of Hollywood
First posted by Christina McDowell in the LA Times
An Open Letter to the Makers of The Wolf of Wall Street, and the Wolf Himself
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, dear Kings of Hollywood, but you have been conned.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Christina McDowell, formerly Christina Prousalis. I am the daughter of Tom Prousalis, a man the Washington Post described as "just some guy on trial for penny-stock fraud." (I had to change my name after my father stole my identity and then threatened to steal it again, but I'll get to that part later.) I was eighteen and a freshman in college when my father and his attorneys forced me to attend his trial at New York City's federal courthouse so that he "looked good" for the jury -- the consummate family man.
And you, Jordan Belfort, Wall Street's self-described Wolf: You remember my father, right? You were chosen to be the government's star witness in testifying against him. You had pleaded guilty to money laundering and securities fraud (it was the least you could do) and become a government witness in two dozen cases involving your former business associate, but my father's attorneys blocked your testimony because had you testified it would have revealed more than a half-dozen other corrupt stock offerings too. And, well, that would have been a disaster. It would have just been too many liars, and too many schemes for the jurors, attorneys or the judge to follow.
But the records shows you and my father were in cahoots together with MVSI Inc. of Vienna, e-Net Inc. of Germantown, Md., Octagon Corp. of Arlington, Va., and Czech Industries Inc. of Washington, D.C., and so on -- a list of seemingly innocuous, legitimate companies that stretches on. I'll spare you. Nobody cares. None of these companies actually existed, yet all of them were taken public by the one and only Wolf of Wall Street and his firm Stratton Oakmont Inc in order to defraud unwitting investors and enrich yourselves.
As an eighteen-year-old, I had no idea what was going on. But then again, did anyone? Certainly your investors didn't -- and they were left holding the bag when you cashed out your holdings and got rich off their money.
So Marty and Leo, while you glide through press junkets and look forward to awards season, let me tell you the truth -- what happened to my mother, my two sisters, and me.
The day my father had to surrender to prison, I drove him. My mother had locked herself in the bathroom crying and throwing up, becoming nothing short of a more beautiful version of Cate Blanchett in Blue Jasmine. Ironically enough, Marty, she looks like a cross between Sharon Stone and Michelle Pfeiffer. Totally your leading ingénue type. Anyhow, after my father successfully laundered money in my name, hiding what was left of our assets from the government in a Wells Fargo bank account, I arrived home to discover multiple phone calls from creditors and attorneys threatening to sue me. He'd left me in nearly $100,000 worth of debt. He left and never told me.
After all of that liquidated money was gone from the Wells Fargo bank account, things got pretty bad. My younger sister ran away at seventeen. My older sister struggled to finish school in Texas. I couch surfed for two years, sometimes dressing out of my car and stealing pieces of salami out of my boyfriends' refrigerators in the middle of the night, because I was so hungry and so ashamed that I couldn't feed myself. Tips at the restaurant weren't cutting it. It's a pretty confusing experience to go from flying private with Dad to an evening where he's begging you for a piece of your paycheck so he can buy food for dinner.
But, here's the real kicker --
I believed him.
I believed everything my father told me. I believed it was the government's fault he was going to prison and leaving his little princess, I believed it was your fault, Jordan Belfort. I believed that by taking out all those credit cards in my name, my father was attempting to save me. I believed him when he got out, and when he told me everything would be OK. I believed him until he tried to do the same thing all over again -- until I was at risk of being arrested myself (and I'm saving that story for the memoir).
So here's the deal. You people are dangerous. Your film is a reckless attempt at continuing to pretend that these sorts of schemes are entertaining, even as the country is reeling from yet another round of Wall Street scandals. We want to get lost in what? These phony financiers' fun sexcapades and coke binges? Come on, we know the truth. This kind of behavior brought America to its knees.
And yet you're glorifying it -- you who call yourselves liberals. You were honored for career excellence and for your cultural influence by The Kennedy Center, Marty. You drive a Honda hybrid, Leo. Did you think about the cultural message you'd be sending when you decided to make this film? You have successfully aligned yourself with an accomplished criminal, a guy who still hasn't made full restitution to his victims, exacerbating our national obsession with wealth and status and glorifying greed and psychopathic behavior. And don't even get me started on the incomprehensible way in which your film degrades women, the misogynistic, ass-backwards message you endorse to younger generations of men.
But hey, listen boys, I get it. I was conned too. By. My. Own. Dad! I drove a white Range Rover in high school, snorted half of Colombia, and got any guy I ever wanted because my father would take them flying in his King Air.
And then I unraveled the truth. The truth about my father and his behavior: that behind all of it was really just insidious soul-sucking shame masked by addiction, which we love to call ambition, which is really just greed. Greed and the desire for fame (exactly what you've successfully given self-appointed motivational speaker/financial guru Jordan Belfort, whose business opportunities will surely multiply thanks to this film).
For me, it's become goddamn unbearable.
But I refuse to give up.
Belfort's victims, my father's victims, don't have a chance at keeping up with the Joneses. They're left destitute, having lost their life savings at the age of 80. They can't pay their medical bills or help send their children off to college because of characters like the ones glorified in Terry Winters' screenplay.
Let me ask you guys something. What makes you think this man deserves to be the protagonist in this story? Do you think his victims are going to want to watch it? Did we forget about the damage that accompanied all those rollicking good times? Or are we sweeping it under the carpet for the sale of a movie ticket? And not just on any day, but on Christmas morning??
So here's what I'm going to do first. I'm going to hand you my shame. Right now, in this very moment. The shame that I've been carrying for far too long as a result of being collateral damage. Because each of you should feel ashamed. And then I'm going to go pre-order my tickets to August: Osage County in support of Julia and Meryl -- because at least, as screwed up as that family is, they talk about the truth.
I urge each and every human being in America NOT to support this film, because if you do, you're simply continuing to feed the Wolves of Wall Street.
Yours truly,
Christina McDowell
PS. Quick update on Dad: He is now doing business with the Albanian government and, rumor has it, married to a 30-year-old Albanian translator -- they always, always land on their feet.

In other words... "Make a movie about me, Marty".
Tyler, free thought is not a destination but a means to a constant evolution... many people seek and offer to sign your cheques, i'm sure, but who can ever offer a product greater than truth, much as your website might suffer lower income in the face of it.... John Meriwether didn't escape truth.
Excellent letter. Misery loves company and the glorification of misogyny and psychopathic behavior further exposes the hellish trajectory we are on. These pieces of crap want to aggrandize disgusting actions so that they can feel better about themselves and the good people they have destroyed. There is so much wrong with America and the masters in control that I fully believe that nothing will stop this decline; it's inevitable. I just dig into my little corner of the world and try to find like minded folks that agree with me on this. This is why I hang out here because you all get it. See you on the other side.
Some professional reviews support that position, one stating, "The Wolf of Wall Street is a pièce de résistance to depravity, without giving an inch of resistance to the depravity. In a way, The Wolf of Wall Street bails out Wall Street all over again."
"This is why I hang out here because you all get it." No, the vast majority here get it, but there are plenty that don't, either because they are just waking from their slumber or there are those that want to continue this decline because it is to their own overall glutonous advantage.
I think there's a better complaint that any reasonable person can make about Scorcese and this film.
This film is the artistic cowardice equivalent of the Justice Department's cowardly prosecution of that indian guy, Rajaratnam, for insider trading.
The Justice Department is utterly corrupt and needed to have a show trial of prosecuting SOMEone. So, they went after a brown skinned guy who wasn't working for one of the controlling institutions, JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs. Look, proles, we're prosecuting Wall Street malfeasance! See!
Of course, Rajaratnam was a nothing. His crimes were barely definable as crimes. He was the freaking stock whisperer for god's sake. Meanwhile, the Justice Department protects JP Morgan from getting what they deserve in the Madoff case or, hell, any case.
And what does Scorcese do? Does he do the serious thing and try to show how JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs et al fucked our entire economy then got bailed out by the very citizenry they fucked and are still immune from meaningful prosecution? No. He's either lazy or a coward, or both, and makes a movie about this comparative nobody, Belfort.
This is the equivalent of Marty making Goodfellas but with the entire movie not being about Henry Hill but the dumb girl at the end who didn't stir the spaghetti sauce enough and who wanted to wear her lucky hat when going to buy drugs for Hill.
Lazy chicken shit Scorcese.
Brooksley Born resigned from the CFTC in 1999 when she dared to go against Greenspan, Rubin, Summers and Levitt (SEC head). That was the end of any enforcement coming from gov't regulators against Wall St.
That was over 14 years ago.
+1000 ^
Here is a bit more on the Brooksley Born story:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/warning/interviews/born.html
I don't know about the film, but i read the book and at least in there Belfort make it abundantly clear how much of an asshole he was. I certaibly got a feel of self-loathing coming away from the book and throughout he didn't even attemptu to rationalize why he did what he had done. He presented himself as coked out alcholic with an additction to qualudes who was abusive, dishonest, and an adulturous scumbag. In the end he did end up going to prison and cooperated with the Feds in the cases meintioned above. Period.
As a historian i try to take the nethod of only looking at facts and not getting involed in the emotions and then making judgements later. The book was better for that purpose i feel. My .02

Hell, the real powers of Wall Street probably love seeing these pikers like Belfort get taken down and get turned into little morality stories. In their minds, the people Belfort conned were supposed to be their suckers, their marks. The money those people lost could've been stolen from them by Goldman Sachs.
"Get on the case, Justice Department! There's money being stolen from innocent investors by these small fry fraudsters that we could've stolen with our international sized frauds!"
finance porn
Truly sad. And to put this into perspective, these guys wrecked lives and they don't even own the TBTF banks, central banks, or oil companies.
The scale differences are on the order of several people vs. humanity.
While that probably wouldn't be the take-away for most casual viewers of this piece, it absolutely should be.
Even if no one went to see this movie do you really believe the wolves will care?.
I am always curious as to how many of these 'victims' invested into these fake businesses on the idea of getting rich quickly, and how many were sold on the idea of a solid 10% annual return with very low risk.
My guess is they thought they were all going to get rich, and didn't see the con coming.
Excuse me if I don't shed any years for those greedy bastards.
the difference between the gambler and the mark, is that the mark believes in a sure thing. people who don't believe in gambling are the easiest cons. and any gambler knows winning the bet is only half of it, you still have to collect (this is where the LTCM folks went wrong) so when you say greedy bastards you are really saying doe-eyed innocents.
pup of wolf speaks.
artists are only slightly less moral than wall street con men. they have the same business problems. the goal of the wall street con man ends at the money, while for the film-flam man it is just beginning. the artist takes that money and translates it into truth (Scorcese said recently, he isn't sure film is an art, anymore than these wall street con men think they are in business) truth is something that comes leaking out, at websites like this, and the big screen (oxymoron) production is a slightly sanitized version, for mass consumption. remember Scorcese made Taxi Driver, an oblique take on disingenous politicians. (his main character attempts to assassinate the candidate, and when that fails he shoots a pimp - get it?) so John Hinckley saw the movie. he wrote letters to Jody Foster, he channeled Travis Bickel, the characted, and he shot Ronald Reagan. (he found the pimp?!) so life imitates art. and all anti-war films serve the purpose of glorifying war on another level (yes even Dr Strangelove) he's not out to campaign for or against anything, his only duty is to truthfully render the characters and their actions. the rest is up to the audience, if it moves you to act that part is between you and your conscience.
recently heard an interview with marty s. where he
says taxi driver and the new wolf movie are....
the same story in that they are stories of damaged
characters in full expression, or something like that.
i might have made up some of that sentence myself.
if you want to hear the interview i could find it
but .....wbai 12/27/2013 round 3: pm.
i think it was taxi driver? ......
it's a weird comment or observation on his part,
why make the same movie again decades later?
hmmmm....
Because we haven't learned the lesson
....and debauchery sells tickets
hitchcock made a number of his movies twice. what changes is the audience. scorcese has made some really thoughtful films, Alice Doesn't Live Here, New York, New York, the Last Temptation of Christ, the Aviator, though he is mostly known for his gangster pics. you make money so you can make films. the screenplay for Taxi Driver was a turning point, after that more films followed the style of the narrative. (a close and intimate ride with a character we dont' really understand, who in the final outcome finds normalcy. highlight the ending in Good Fellas or Last Temptation with a bit of a twist.) scorcese is a pretty modest guy after all. that's really the only way you can make a picture like this, j ust let your character out, don't try to force him into something.
hitchcock made a number of his movies twice. what changes is the audience…
I still contend, if someone were to really desire the masses of the US to awaken, one of the first alarms that sounded in the 18th century could do the same if declared today. I further understand that though the individual that sounded the alarm (Jonathon Edwards), has been roundly criticized, abdicated and disowned by even those that publicly share his aspiration of “faith” to pronounce the message to a people and Nation yet to receive a Constitution providing a freedom of religion from the influence of state regulatory edicts could benefit from the message from his thoughtful, insightful and wonderfully composed appeal for people to respond favorably to our Creator’s call to recognize His authority, love and desire for reconciliation, we would all much rather continue to abide in our slumber and willful efforts of futility.
For all those otherwise minded, let me recommend the following for your enjoyment. Keep in mind however, as Sproul declares in the introduction, this presentation, unlike any gratuatous violent Tarentino visual sequence, is not for the faint of heart.

My apologies.
I'm actually guilty of a blatent cut and paste and could've easily left that last line off but I left it on because the five parts shown are just a portion of the total message and the reading / delivery is an "artistic" interpretation that Max should receive some sort of renumeration if one wanted to pursue the theme further and / or to support the cause. I suppose he'd accept pieces of eight, (the original "bit coins") which were the coin of the realm at the time of the original Edwards delivery. This abridged version has sufficed me for now.
Scorcese's career has been based on endless portrayals of sickening violence. He simply panders to people who can't get enough of that sort of thing. There is no underlying meaning to his movies they are wafer thin.
Hinckley was an Operation Mockingbird robot because Poppy wanted Ronnie gone.
All these weird loner, mind controlled, Laurel Canyon brainwashed, Manchurian fall guys who assasinate people or get fingered for false flags like Adam L, Sirhan, the kid with the red hair fright wig and 5 mile stare in Colorado and many more.
Words are cheap.
Action > talk.
She used her fathers airplane to get boyfriends. Boy the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Here's the original article and a picture, of said victim.
An Open Letter to the Makers of The Wolf of Wall Street, and the Wolf Himself
I wonder if this is she? Probably, considering the unusual former name and her resemblance to what would be her mom. Hell, she talks about stealing salami from boyfriends. I'd stock up on anything she'd want and she wouldn't have to steal it...:
Christina McDowell was born on March 14, 1986 in Washington, D.C., USA as Christina Grace Prousalis.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1876480/?ref_=nmbio_bio_nm
Hey Christina,.
Your point is not lost on me, and let me also say, you can write, kid.
Hollywood glorifies crime, and every time they do they tell us its better to be a rich sociopath than a working schmuck. It's disgusting.
But it goes so far beyond things like this movie. Take a closer look at the career of Sheryl Sandberg, who now is passing herself off as some sort of an inspirational role-model, concerned about women's issues, etc.
Sheryl Sandberg's "success" is based on willfully ignoring fraud at Google.
She's no different than Tom Prousalis. She and Marissa Meyer have been moved to key roles at Facebook and Yahoo for one reason: To duplicate the fraud-based success of Google (and look fabulous doing it). People should spit on them everywhere they go, as they should the author's father, Jack Welch, Hankenstein Paulson, Angelo Mozilo, Dick Fuld....(need I go on?)
The deeper problem, of course, is that we worship people who acquire wealth, and spend little if any time pondering the impact of their behavior on the country. Her father is just one example of the kind of wolves we're up against.
The day Marty makes a film on BErlu n Banga BAnga we will have the spaghetti version of this Hollywood Western!
Man, Serge Leone showed the film industry the way to go!
Money, money, money...
I understand her bitterness towards her deceitful, thieving father. And good for her for not forgiving him.
"Coke binges" and "sexcapades"? "....behavior that brought America to its knees...." [not the war state, not the bloated, parasitical public sector, not the trillion-dollar crony-banker bailouts, not the rise of the police/surveillance/social-dependency state?]
She calls herself a liberal but that sounds like prudish authoritarian nanny-talk (I think I get it -- ha ha ha). [would she welcome an escalation of the War on Drugs and surveillance cameras in the bedrooms of America?]
"You people are dangerous." [would she prefer government censorship to protect innocent film viewers?]
I should be fair and admit that all she did is express her opinion and recommend not seeing the film. I will take her advice and not see the film (is it another tedious effort with Leo overacting Leo?), and I won't salve my wounded soul by going to see Julia and Merle either, but the really important, socially-relevant question is:
Do any of the characters smoke a cigarette?
EW,
I think you're being a little rough on her. She's describing one piece of the puzzle as best she can and I think she did a good job of stirring emotions and producing a piece that read really well. I don't think you should expect her to appreciate all the complexities you describe yet, but I think she's off to a pretty good start.
MM -- Yes, I was probably reading things into her remarks, but I did qualify my comments in a subsequent paragraph. I do have sympathy for her plight...
I got you. I just think people like her should be encouraged to speak up more often. And honestly, I think her writing shows a lot of promise.
Coming from a person that uses 'Frankenstein' as an avatar?
Let's get real! The girl is an actress! http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1876480/?ref_=nmbio_bio_nm
Credit goes to 4281816 Winston Smith 2009
We've all been screwed multiple times in our lives. The girl doesn't need to hang her dirty laundry out , to vindicate her own sheepish (fatherly) behaviors.
Yes, well, one of the great themes in this thread is all these toughy boys snarling how 'It's your own damn fault for getting cheated!'
Like it's your own damn fault for being smaller than the mugger who jumped you, or for driving on the Interstate the day the semi jack knifed and slid across the median, or for being in school the day the shooter's antidepressant kicked back on him, and so on.
The clever phrase management weasels like is 'information asymmetry'. Means you trusted someone because you didn't know better. Here's a story that might make the information gradient a little more even and you're going off on identities.
Rush would be proud of your distraction from issues to personalities.
Is anyone really that surprised that Hollywood would make another propaganda movie for their cousins on Wall St.?
Maybe the funding is slipping
Come to think about it, it must be, Hollywood has again even found religion (as in, they are starting to make religious movies in order to cash in on those 90 million or so evangelicals out there)
Hey, just remember one rule governs Madison Avenue and Hollywood : Sell the people the legend not the truth. That's what they want and that's what makes us RICH. Our civilization is about $$$$$/
Why are you so surprised when the MAD men and Money men have built tinsel town and big Apple?
Selling it to exploit others was "its ok, they be APaches".
Now that its the turn of the US people, labelled as the exploited by Reaganomics et al.
Its wake up call and the indignant become amazingly aware.
Wow.
So daddy is now working with the Albanian government? Then he is in good company because so is Tony Blair.
I saw the movie last night. I want my 3 hours back, but I'm a young dad, so it better be like Godfather good for me to think a movie is worth it.
Anyway, it was poorly edited. Too much sexy and drugs. I never thought i'd be writing that. But it's 3 goddamn hours of it. I was pulled out of my suspended disbelief and thought "wtf, Leo and Marty, this is grotesque film-making" regardless of the subject matter.
But it's not about Wall Street. It's not about the penny stocks or the money laundering or the shell companies. It's essentially a movie about sales and the "get rich quick" attitude that people have. The beginning of the movie is the best when they're having lunch. No body knows whether this shit is going up or down and it's not in the broker's interest to make their clients money. It's about selling the dream. It's about actualizing the dream. Making it tangible. The cars, the hookers, the drugs, the success. You're not selling an acceptable ROI.
I've worked for sales organizations for 7 years. I don't sell. I babysit sales. Every year a sales manager has dangled the car keys or some slam piece's tits in my face to get me to work in sales. And I've considered it several times. But all that shit has a level of drama I think an adult would never invite into their lives.
Flashback Note: I can remember the glory days back in the late 80's, when Stratton Oakmont was considered by many in my home town (Massapequa Park N.Y.) to be the premiere place to work and prosper at. Hanging around FOXES night club watching 23 yr old college dropouts pull in in brand new Porches, Lotus Esprit's, Rovers etc - 55 ft sea-ray's at Conscious Point, South Hampton with models and bottles falling off the bow...I recall it well as was one of the few in my crowd who didn't register. I suspect I may have been considered one of the coat-tailers, but I tagged along invited and partied with the rest of them in disbelief.
Looking back now 25 years later very few of them are still in the industry, and not by choice. I estimate 90% had arbitration that led to being barred from trading US Securities.
The few I know still registered are some of the most talented brokers I know (couldn't trade their way out of a paper bag) but they could sell an Eskimo an Igloo all day long.
In a recent interview, Jordan Belfort the CEO played by Leo DiCaprio, Boasts he brainwashed the brokers that "lying was their fiduciary duty"...The one credit I can give him is that he brought Steve Madden Shoes public, which still currently trades and is the only company they brought public that didn't go belly up. (Madden spent a chunk of time in jail as well for his shenanigans) Currently Belfort has only made 10 million of 100 million in restitution owed...Tim_K

this film needs to be glorified worldwide as the new american dream. crime pays and is lots of fun.
Actors are whores that will do anything for money.
Katherine Heigl started demanding payment in gold......as you can guess her career is pretty much over.
I met Jordan Belfort a couple months ago. He was on the corporate lecture circuit. He gave the 60 minute version of his presentation. Apparently, to get it down to that length he cut out the "I'm sorry" parts, or even any indication that he felt any discomfort about the morality of his behavior. The company that paid to bring him in was expecting a presentation with a "Don't Do This" message, and that's not what he's selling. His message is very much a greed-porn show.
If I were to assemble this guy from parts without any visual reference to what he actually looks like, I'd have gotten close. He's a short, chiseled-looking man with dyed hair plugs of some sort, a fake tan, dental veneers, and the taut features one associates with either plastic surgery or well-nourished cocaine mongering. Seriously, talking to the guy for 5 minutes, I had an involuntary olfactory memory of the taste of cocaine post-nasal drip, though I haven't touched that evil stuff in at least 25 years. He's a driven, coked-up, inadequacy-fuled sociopathic little evil elf if ever I've run across one. Into extreme sports, outrageous consumption of anything and everything, and proud of all he's done.
I suppose we should be glad his drug of choice is money, and not disemboweling children. But walking away from that guy and getting paid for my work gave me a shudder of relief. I can imagine it might be like crossing paths with a vampire or a particularly venomous snake and walking away because you hadn't threatened or startled it or maybe it just wasn't hungry. I felt like I'd used up one of my lives and while I regretted having one fewer lucky escape left, I had to feel OK with it on balance.
I've met a lot of corporate sociopaths before. There's something about the upper reaches of wealth and power that attracts them. They're almost like Ann Rice vampires; similar enough to humans to pass among the less-observant, but under no illusions whatsoever that they are of the same species as us. This guy is such an "out" sociopath every fibre in your being should be screaming, "Run Away!!" whenever he's near you.
I'm sorry this woman was reared by another one of these creatures and got so far along in life before realizing the truth and seeing what was under the mask. It doesn't seem to have agreed with her.
He was assembled from parts. Put him on the list off people to to visit first in the event of zombiepocolypse.
Nice post my fellow Minnesotan. The wind blows now and so do the politicians here. It sounds like you had a chance to meet Marty Seifert. If you would like, I could have Tom Emmer call you because he won't stop calling me. I have met both of them. I have nothing going with either of those two.
I am sick of this political shit to be honest, but if we reeeeealy have to have a magistrate it would it would be Sue Jeffers. Marianne is a good woman too but she has some issues right now but she will resolve those shortly. Neither one of these two naggy ass women ever give up, it would be best if both were office at the same time.
Oops, did I just give credit to a couple of women? Yeah, I did, because those women earned it and neither of the two are some dumb broad.
I my opinion it is RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF HER FACE for the Governership of Minnesota. I think a lot of Ron Paulers would get behind her but the other half of her constituents are hardcore retard "start another war" republicrats.
We, Paulbots, will not vote anymore and that is why you have Barry for Prez. It is not that we do not care, we do care, and we have a huge network that cares. That means we can swing elections supposing that elections are fair to begin with. We will just let the game play itself out and it may not happen for some time but it will happen.
bloodsucker indeed, good call.
it'd be a hoot to bumrush one of his motivational speeches with a crew each wearing a clove of garlic, grab a video of his reaction, and throw it up on utube. in fact, sounds like a job for these guys:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d2bCirm6NA
I just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed your post.
I'll probably torrent it for free.
Here's her pic http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2013/12/wolf_of_wall_street_prousalis...
Wow, she is into a lot of adult shit for being so young.
Oh, wait, it is not a current photo, is it?
Dear Christina,
you may want to reflect also on first listing got any guy I ever wanted because my father would take them flying in his King Air and your father's desire for fame (which is actually a kind of desire for appreciation)
but now flip to bemoaning the incomprehensible way in which your film degrades women so you get some pats on the back from the feminist political-correctness crowd - obviously to quench your desire for appreciation!
Hint: reality is often ambiguous, from an ethical standpoint.
The Jews don't give a shit, they have the pussies of America right where they want them.
Prousalis is Greek, not Jewish.
Where was this letter *while* she was jetting around the world, driving the Land Rover, etc?
If the previous lifestyle never ended, would she still be critical of her dad?
Darien Taylor: "When you've had money and lost it, it can be much worse than never having had it at all."
A King Air.... LOL
Defintely not worth going to jail for, but a G650 on the other hand could be worth it....
"What makes you think this man deserves to be the protagonist in this story?" The fact that he is the individual that the whole fraud revolves around. The fraud wouldn't of happened without him, so if you want to tell this story, his role is pretty key...
Saving it for the memoir, maybe.
Christina McDowell, Thank you - I will make a point to not watch this movie and discourage others from watching it as well.
Good flik.
I'm not feeling the sympathy.
If this skirt hadn't had her life turned upside down personally, she'd still be singing the praises of the system.
This Skirt? When the suits and ties begin doing this, the day before they lose their clients money in this elaborate Ponzi scheme, come up with something just as insulting okay? How about when these stupid fucking idiots realize they have sold the farm right out from under themselves and htat the reception from the new Masters, the Asians is "bleed them dry and get rid of them." That's how fucked up this is. Self sacrifice because it is the only game in town, they assured it by destroying the competition. Some of you guys on here have mommy issues. Get some help. (forgot something)
Sorry about the skirt comment. I've been watching too many episodes of Boardwalk Empire lately and the 1920's lingo is starting to rub off on me.
Now that that's been cleared up, go get me a beer. I'm getting thirsty.
Only in your world would a woman allow herself to be somewhere which required instructions. Otherwise, you'd get your fucking beer without asking, so devoted they'd be to see you lounging in comfort, deserving of being fed grapes because you are so goddam good at just about everything you do.
*Looks at Bunny's hand and notices there's still no beer bottle in it*
Nice rant hun, now go get me that beer.
Geeesh, these dames nowadays!!
That is the only TV show I allow myself to watch, but I watch it on the computer.
It seems so....familiar to something going on today....
I agree..... on all counts.

Hollywood: Wall St's fluffer
Fear not - both will only be with us a short while longer.
After that rant, I cannot see that movie.
One must observe she did enjoy the fruits of evil until they went south. Perhaps she has reformed herself.
Well, I will wait until it is free on late-night TV in a few years.
Hollywood and its ilk are the other side of our problem, the obverse side of the coin being financial crimes. Promoting immorality only produces more immorality.
South Korea knows what kind of shows empower a nation. But even modernist movies could enhance life if they provoked individual development. As it is with Hollywood today the chosen people represent the largest percentage of AA members. Driven by greed and lust a fate worth than death.
She didnt complain when she was riding high on stolen money. The Wall St children never do. They only complain when someone gets caught or the money runs out. The beging of the movie (LF Rothschild) depicted what Wall St is really like. It is mostly young males that are trained by experienced criminals to empty the pockets of the elderly, naive, and greedy. Almost all domiciled in the NE. What does this tell you? Wall St is a diirty business and always has been. It will get falt out criminal over the next few years until it finally collapses.
I know, some people are making money now. They are very happy and proud of "how smart" they are. Enjoy the ride. It wont last. This time there wont be anyone to bail you out. You will lose it all--just like the 30's. This will be the time that Wall St will cease to exist and politicians will face the wrath of the public. "It cant happen here?" Watch.................

Gs, bac, db, ms, and Belfort. They are all the fucking same. The difference is that Belfort was a poor kid from the other side of the tracks. The real criminals went to ivy schools, grew up on the ues, and have impunity from the us govt to do as they please.
In the last five years you watched them rape the entire financial system, the elderly, and every saver in the world. What happened? They recieved a nice fat bonus ever year. They are in st barts, the hapmtons, and aspen right now while every senior citizen has not slept wondering "how will i live for the next five years?"
My dream come true would be to see them incur the europen fate from the 30's. This is what they deserve.
In God, experienced by the living, existence becomes validated through a multiplicity of conscious appreciations. Unconscious acts are works of the ChairSatan. --Q99x2
I am waiting for "Obamacare, The Movie"!
Where all of the Pols, lobbyists, Healtcare.gov contractors, complicent insurance company execs, etc... are strung up on lamp posts by the bourgeoisie. Now that would be a movie to watch!

Hollywood used to make money selling Bible stories. Nobody wanted to see em anymore, so they give em what the customers want. Their whole purpose is to make films that people pay to see.
You want morality and high ideals from mass media? Ha. Stick to fairytales or Walker-Texas Ranger reruns.
The reason we invent and love our Loki, the evil trickster characters, is because they represent who we, more or less, are, as well as our selfless and noble heros who we want to be.
75,000 years of camp-fire stories and some folks are complaining that they aren't representitive of who we are?
Sheesh.
The real shame is that Americans, to date, have not lynched a single bankster, broker, politician or judge. At the same time, all the "third-worlders" are demonstrating what it means to fight for the right to vote and extirpate corruption from government. This girl has more courage than most of the population of the country. She admits her ignorance, describes her dis-illusionment, and calls a spade a spade at the end/beginning or her ordeal.
We are being shown for the pussies we are by standing citizens all over the world, who brave torture, brutality and murder to fight for the same rights that our ancestors fought and bled to death to leave to us. We insult their deaths, their lives, and our Constitution through apathy and greed, while leaving an intolerable burden of debt on the backs of the unborn and the young. I look at pictures of my uncles, who gave their lives for their companies and country on a stinking Italian beach during WWII, courtesy of an idiot English admiral who had the strategic know-how of an ass (Waverly). Their names are forgotten, SIlver Stars notwithstanding. I am ashamed for their deaths, because the result of their victory turns out to be the handing over of freedom and liberty to inhuman corporate monsters and the whores they fund to change the rules.
The bureaucracy will not change until the street changes. Wall St. won't change until they fear for their own lives - it is clear that they care not a whit for their families or ours. Don't buy their shit. Grow some balls and a spine.
BRAVO Christina.
Can I still go for a ride in the King Air?
Christina!
Thank you for this letter, this is how we feel in here.
Fuck Wall Street and dont worry, i wont watch that trash.
Hope things get better for you.
They should do a movie about the victims.
