Wednesday Humor: Iran Has "Incontrovertible Proof" That US Is Run By Aliens
While some will not be surprised, Al Arabiya reports that Iran's FARS News Agency claimed in a recent report that:
"The United States' domestic and international policy has been driven by an 'alien/extraterrestrial intelligence agenda' since 1945."
The "incontrovertible proof" supporting the revelations was (apparently) found in a Federal Security Service (FSB) report, carried out by American computer specialist Edward Snowden - and is confirmed (somewhat amazingly) by former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer in the following interview.

Snowden reportedly contacted the Guardian’s columnist Glenn Greenwald telling him, according to Fars, that there “were actually two governments in the United States, the one that was elected, and the other, secret regime, governing in the dark.”
The agency added that Snowden’s revelations were confirmed as “accurate” by former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer, during an appearance he made on Russia Today’s program SophieCo.
Hellyer said: “This information is top secret in a way that the governments aren't talking about it, but if you listen to whistleblowers and the people are had worked in the industry and who know what is going on, there is just a lot of information out there and it doesn't take very long to get your hands on it.”
He said 80 percent of UFO reports analyzed by the Canadian defense ministry during his time in office were not real, but “there were 15 or 20 percent for which there was no explanation and there genuinely unidentified flying objects.”

I don't believe in the Planet X thing, but as a scientist I do firmly believe that it's patently foolish to presume that all things from all places and all times must behave according to the "laws" of our tiny corner of the universe whenever those things interact with us.

I don't trust the source and am not yet seeing any evidence to support the claims being made. I wouldn't go so far as to say the US is run by aliens(of the non-terrestrial variety at least), but the US Govt has been and continues going to great lengths to suppress information on the subject. For many decades now, the US Govt has claimed there's nothing to it, it's not important and they no longer investigate any reports(since '69). But FOIA released official US Govt documents(at least the ones that aren't totally redacted) contradict these claims again and again. I think there's much more to it than we are being told.

I rather like the idea that the public space program was a false front for a secret space program. Of course, I have no direct way to prove or disprove that. But nevertheless, it seems to me that Paul Hellyer merely spent enough time to study the available informatoin until he reached the conclusion that it was not possible to ignore 100% of the stories about "aliens." I do not think it is as facile as knee-jerk deniers make out to dismiss Hellyer as insane, for merely reporting that his own ressarch has convinced him that there must be something to the stories, while it was not possible to disregard 100% of all that information as meaningless.

Personally, I have had absolutely NO direct experience with anything ET like, including having never seen anything that I could believe was a "flying saucer." However, I have spent a lot of time attempting to research the matter, and I have had good friends who told me their own first-hand knowledge, some of whom, unknown to each other, told me the same things about some events.
I certainly can not prove that this kind of information is false. I am open to consider that some of the overwhelming information available can best be explained with some theories about "aliens being real," although that is kind of like a trick answer, since those "aliens" are not operating within the laws of physics that I am currently aware of, and therefore, the words related to those concepts lack any operational definitions.
One of the biggest problems in this area is that absence of public evidence does not prove too much, since, IF one assumes that some of these stories are correct, then it is very plausible that the information about that would be suppressed. After one studies enough human history, it becomes painfully obvious that the real world is almost totally controlled by huge lies, backed up with lots of violence, about everything, in proportion to how important those things are. After one does deeper research, it becomes clear that almost all our laws are based on legalized lies, backed by legalized violence. In that context, it is not at all far-fetched to consider that extremely important actual evidence about real "aliens" would be deliberately denied and suppressed.
Another way that I tend to think about this is that there is a continuum between literal truth and metaphorical truth. (I think that everything we "know" must be relative lies, which are different degrees of metaphorical truths, while literal truth is something impossible to obtain, although one may attempt to approach it asymptotically.) I find that most of the people who talk about "aliens" tend to not to bother to try to distinguish between metaphorical truth and literal truth. They tend to not be interested in efforts to investigate how we "know" something, and therefore, the degree of confidence that we can have in what we believe we "know." However, that in itself does not enable one to discount their views down to nothing but their insanity.
Anyway, the ruling classes, of the men that prey on men, are so culturally different that they might as well be "aliens" as far as how they compare to the vast majority of people, who are their prey. A metaphorical description of our real human ecology is accurately perceived to be like a bad B minus grade science fiction horror story. Human civilization has evolved to be controlled by the maximum possible deceits and frauds, which have constructed a kind of Bizarro Mirror World, where everything is proportionately backwards. In that context, it would make sense that the previous understanding of demons and angels would blend into our concepts about "aliens." Furthermore, it would make sense that, IF there was real evidence which could prove their existence, then that evidence would become as suppressed and distorted as it could possibly be, in direct proportion to how important such evidence could be.
Anyway, although I have ZERO direct knowledge about anything related to "aliens" ... I certainly can not prove that they could not exist, while I quite open to plausible possibilities that the absence of public evidence does NOT mean that no such evidence exists. Rather, there are lots of interesting people, who otherwise appear to me to be quite sane and well-informed, that have concluded that "aliens" are in some ways "real," while some of those people claim to have had a little bit of their own direct personal experience about that.
Paul Hellyer does NOT strike me as being crazy. If anything, I find him relatively too mainstream for my taste. He merely seems to have had the interest to do enough research to reach the point where he felt it was impossible to still believe that there were no "aliens" whatsoever, as well as having personally seen some UFOs that he could not dismiss. Although I have never had any direct personal experiences about anything like that. there is NO WAY that I am able to dismiss all of the available information. On the contrary, I am quite sure that the universe must be full to the brim of things which we probably can not imagine, but which nevertheless still exist.

I've seen something about strange metal cylinders and other artifacts found buried in sedementary rock strata and things like that - artifacts that subsequently disappeared shortly after they were found. There might be a tiny amount of evidence of visitation over geologic time. The only reports of visitation in historic time seem to be after WW II, and they tend to be UFOs - glowing or shiny objects in the sky.
