The Chart That Really Scares The Government...

Tyler Durden's picture

With a government intent on growing its entitlements, welfare state, and implicitly it's debt load... what could be more terrifying than the future debt-serfs refusing to be born into existence. As the birth rate in the US tumbles to yet another multi-decade low, one has to ask how confident the young adult of today is and how, again, the Japanization of America continues to indicate a dark future ahead...

"So my kids can learn the joy of failure?"

Apparently that is what you have to teach them, so by all means, keep it in your pants.

This might be the most disappointing thread's worth of comments I have ever seen here...

the in thing for the last 20 years has been to pulll-out and make a deposit else where, save me quite a bit of money and hassle in the long run, so sad that it is not helping the king and country with a steady supply of servants...
if you can't starve them out by "laying low", who would have thought this would be the next best thing to come to amerika.

TPTB want population reduction.  I don't see how this chart would upset anyone at the top.  It goes right along with their agenda.

As to why this has happened, people are getting married less, getting married later and having fewer children later in life.  If a woman waits until she's 30 something to procreate, she has much less fertile years left to procreate, therefore fewer children.  Decades ago, it was the norm to begin when the woman was in her twenties and so it was more likely to have a larger family given she had many more years of fertility to work with.  It's the shift in the culture - women just wait longer to get down to doing the parent thing.  They want an education and a career and that takes up most of the 20 something years.

No, women are *told* they want an education and career by the feminist establishment.

What women really want is what they have wanted for thousands of years: to submit to a real man, bear his children, and make a home for him.

Well what do you expect, you hand out contraceptives to people, promote abortion, have a bad economy, higher cost of living, you don't expect birth reductions? The paradox of these political points is that US government operates a ponzi scheme of debt, you need more working people in the future to pay for the government programs of today. One can only chuckle.
