Ukraine is on the brink of default - both politically and financially. The most visible outcome is a breakup into West and East. I have no doubts that the industrial base of the Eastern part of Ukraine would be of use to Russia - simply because of the interlinkedness, the chains of production that managed to survive after the USSR break up. Not so sure the EU is going to make a "second France" out of the western part of what's left of Ukraine. Could this be a Czech republic - Slovakia kind of thing? Probably. Not very likely though.
There's another scenario when violence won't stop after the West - East breakup (which is going to be messy and violent). Kept saying "breakup", I mean I'd love to see Ukraine independent but it's just not doesn't seem like a viable state. It always gravitated between Europe and Russia.
The weaker countries - preferably with lots of resources - energy or geopolik - like Ukraine - are on their way to failure. The world is squizzed out of what's left, that's why you got that new WTO deal, talk about EU-US etc trade pacts.

As to Ukraine - the West once again lines up with the darker side of things. WWII didn't start in 1939 with Poland. Started in 1938 with Czechoslovakia and it's fate been decided by Munich agreement. Europe and "fuck-the-EU" States handshaking the very same hand again. You have to know the people from that photo.

From what I have heard from reliable sources it has turned to full scale civil war. Both sides have arms and it seems that some arms were "stolen" from the armories. I have serious questions though. What are you all fighting for again? It's not my fight. Let them go then and let the rest of us keep our miltary faces out if it.
If I could offer any advice it would be the following: Stop fighting each other, join arms, and go address the real problem which is right here....
