I'm in Virginia and it's the one that's got a large accumulation of military bases both active and reserve as well as Naval ports. All bought and paid for and I don't have enough faith on where the majority of the loyalty stands even after all we've witnessed in the last 10 years.
Would like to believe that the active duty will take up with the States when they are asked to start a major war, but the support out there is still too "atomized" and currently at least, I have no way of gauging the strength of support on the issie fo the State vs. the Federal government. The vast majority of the House delegates in Virginia in Richmond might as well be in Washington "swapping spit" with the likes of the Cantor, Wolfe, and Moran crowd. Senator Kaine and Warner complete jokes.
Other States are much stronger on the 10th and the numbers appear to be growing -Hopefully but certainly not enough to make a decisive difference.
But the military and it's ambitions are what clearly needs to be understood. Morale is the worst it has ever been in the U.S. Armed Forces history bar none, and it will be interesting to see given the acts of desperation and folly we are witnessing being acted out in D.C. by our so-called lawmakers of what they may do in"circling the wagons" in order to advance their agenda with another "flag waving 9/11" event!

We really need to get out of the knee-jerk habit of asking "What shall the US do?" every time something happens in the world.
Crimea is not among our strategic interests (unless we covet dragging Ukraine into NATO to piss on Putin's shoes again). Crimea is certainly a serious strategic interest of Russia and was only recently ceded to Ukraine by Russia. That's the only warm-water port Russia has and is the permanent home of their Black Sea fleet.
Russia certainly aren't going to wave Crimea good-bye because Mr. Obama whines in their general direction, any more than we'd march out of Guantanimo because Putin expressed similar concerns about preserving the dignity of Cuban sovereignty.
"Internationalists" like Kerry and most of the other ruling class geniuses are seriously dangerous people. They will again lead us to war, one way or another, just as they have ever since the notoriously inept Wilson got the strange new idea that Americans should become policemen for the world.

Considering it was the CIA and Mossad backed coup that placed the current Ukranian govt into power - you can understand why Obama is concerned to maintain it - its what his masters want.
Putin has too much on the line to back down in Ukraine - I am guessing he will start by killing CIA and Mossad ops, and then start on the media shills, political and financial class. I imagine Putin's war in Crimea and Ukraine is going to be fought mostly under the shadows of guns - by assassination, blackmail and intimidation.
Just my take on whats about to happen - though overt military conflict is also very likely - Putin has never been shy in that regard.

i think both sides, Russia and the USSA are playing us. With the huge nuclear stockpiles, nobody's going to war ever again. This drama is just a way for douchebags to make some money. Have we ever been more like Russia in our history? The USSA is the new Russia, unrestrained cronyism, a completely apathetic population...USSA is just letting Russia have a turn at the top-dog spot. Obama is a puppet like most politicos and do as they are 'pulled' to do. If possible he should avoid these type of statements as they make him look bad... not that he has much choice, being a politico, mainsteam media star etc requires you do as told... once you sell out, you can't leave... you don't leave 'the family', it leaves you.
