- UKRAINE ACTING PRESIDENT ACCUSES RUSSIA OF WORKING ON A SCENARIO LIKE BEFORE WAR WITH GEORGIA
Russia has sent "several hundred" troops into Ukraine's Crimea region, US defense officials said Friday, after Kiev called on Moscow to withdraw its forces from the peninsula.
"It looks like they’ve moved several hundred troops there (into Crimea)," a senior defense official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told AFP.
The comments marked the first confirmation from President Barack Obama's administration that Russia had launched an incursion into Crimea.
The Russians had not given the US government advance notice of the action or explained its intentions since the operation was launched, officials said.
But Pentagon officials stressed Washington was focused on diplomacy, and there was no serious consideration being given to any US military action.
"It is now in the realm of diplomacy," said a second defense official, who asked not to be named.
Officials also said they were not aware of any request from Ukraine for military assistance.
More from Interpretermag.com:
“Under the guise of military exercises, Russia has brought troops into the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. And not only have they seized the parliament of the Crimea, the Council of Ministers of the Crimea, they are trying to take civilian buildings under control, communications, and trying to block places where Ukrainian soldiers are based,” he said in an appeal to the nation.
“They are provoking us to military conflict. According to information from our intelligence, they are working out scenarios that are completely analogous to Abkhazia, when after provoking a conflict, they began annexation of territory,” the acting president emphasized.

At the same time, Ukraine Pravda is reporting that Russian military planes are now landing in the Crimea.
Russian airplanes are landing in Crimea from the direction of Russia, and a column of APCs is heading from the east toward Simferopol.
There are reports of at least 5 large IL-76 planes landing in the district of the military airfield in the town of Gvardeyskoye.
Various sources are reporting that a column of 10 Russian APCs is heading from Sevastopol toward Simfereopol.
Interfax Ukraine reports that all air traffic is halted at the Belbek Airport in Sevastopol due to the seizure of the landing strip by unknown persons.
“There are about 400 people now in the Belbek airport. They have occpuied the landing strip and any movement of planes is stopped,” said a source.
And another video of the Russian APCs: considering the number of journalists standing by, it is as if they are on parade:
Finally. AFP reports:

There's no response, whatsoever, from US or EU. Ukraine is pocket change. Russia wants the money for their energy exports, EU needs the energy.
So Russia secures the pipelines. Because nanny state Europe can't go to 'war' with upcoming election, status quo support comes from Russia.
Ukraine is just another Fema camp, and the inmates have to polish the pipes. Bitchez.
it is no longer about money for russia. It is about its national security
Obama has no idea how close we are to ww3
Degbug:
Just like he was clueless about WW3 and Syria.
-30-
Maybe CW3. Cold war 3. A real ww3 wipes out the 0,1% also. There's enough power to destroy the whole planet.
Like the flow of liquidity they have to maintain, it's also, or maybe only, the flow of energy. When that stops, it's game over.
Agreed. This is no game. NATO has pushed Russia to the edge from which they will not back down. This makes real war very possible. And please note this people, the government in Kiev was not elected by anyone. No vote, yet they command the whole Ukraine to obey them?? How does that work? The Crimea has a right to self defense from an illegal government in Kiev. All they need do is ask for Russian military aid. Were I Putin, I would send in 250,000 troops to Crimea and be done with it.
you nazis make me sick.
putin is a beast a mad dog.
the jews and the gays of ukraine must be protected at all costs.
soros and the state dept has promised israel pipeline transit rights.

lol.
PAVEL KHODORKOVSKY, president
Pavel Khodorkovsky is the president of the Institute of Modern Russia, an organization he founded to continue the work his father Mikhail Khodorkovsky began through the Open Russia Foundation. The Institute of Modern Russia seeks to promote the development of civil society in Russia by reinforcing the rule of law and strengthening relationships between Russia and other countries. Since his father’s arrest in 2003, Khodorkovsky has been unable to return to Russia for fear of political persecution and actions against him aimed at pressuring his father to abandon his legal battle. Khodorkovsky holds a business administration degree from Babson College.

Do I really have to go on.
If Russia decides to invade Ukraine, there will be no doubt about it. This is nothing but predictable agit prop.
If this was your home and your neighbor decided to park his ass in your living room would you call that an invasion or a 'predictable agit prop'?
Russia has not sent troops into Ukraine, outside of the naval base. If you have evidence to the contrary, by all means, I'd be happy to read all about it.
But if you are taking the the word of an organization led by Khodo's seed, you're out of your damn mind.
You seem to be a little too quick to believe outfits that are absolutely propaganda outfits. By the way, rt.com is propaganda too, but it's a refreshing change from the coordinated efforts at manipulating the facts we see in the corporate media.
Wherever there is war, or the threat of war, the propaganda ratchets up signficiantly. I'm not in a position to know, but I think that while NATO's left hand is apparently at work in Ukraine, it's right hand will be engaged in some fuckery elsewhere. Neither Ivan nor NATO want to go hot over Crimea.
But bear in mind, it is the US/Israel/NATO {and S.A.} that have been the absolute Harvard of terror group sponsorship in the past 20 years. The western press, the major press, is largely controlled by a relatively small number of corporations {and/or government}.
I'm not saying only one side is lying to you. I'm saying everyone is lying to you. But the US/NATO side has much more blood on its hands.
j/m/o - take it or leave it as you please, dude.
If you are saying that politicians and the leftist media lie, I agree a 100% and hope your suspicions are correct on where Putin is going. I suggest he will split the country far from the naval base simply because he can. We have weak leadership and they are the joke of the world and do not even realize it.
Putin is laughing and will take a big portion of the Ukraine to 'secure his naval base' or some such nonsense, So I will take some and leave some - dude.
Headhunt, you seem to be making this into an American issue. I'm not just guessing when I say that the world has had enough of our faces.
That said, I invoke the fourth and seventh rules of Fight Club.
all media is propaganda
Johnny, We have proof that hundreds of government trolls work full time spearding the neocon and neoliberal message on blogs. Snowden releases show multiple USG programs to control comments sections and spead discord and pro neocon posts. I think they paid trolls will be out in force on this issue. Project For A New American Century. Better said Project For A New Banker Century.
That is a fair statement Johnny, Lots of bullshit being thrown at the wall here.
"it is the US/Israel/NATO {and S.A.} that have been the absolute Harvard of terror group sponsorship in the past 20 years."
They've been at it for longer than 20 years! http://www.nytimes.com/1987/09/27/world/casey-reported-behind-85-lebanon...
William J. Casey, the former Director of Central Intelligence, personally arranged for Saudi Arabia to sponsor a car bomb attack against a Lebanese Shiite religious leader believed to be involved in terrorism, according to a new book.
The author of the book, Bob Woodward, an assistant managing editor of The Washington Post, writes that the 1985 operation - which failed to kill the Shiite leader but left 62 others dead -was one of three Saudi-sponsored operations arranged by Mr. Casey that circumvented normal C.I.A. procedures.
I'd call it an opportunity to express my second amendment rights.
- Oligarchs And A Legacy Of Russian Anti-Semitism
Okay, so how safe is it, that in Ukraine, you have people using facts such as this to justify targeted street violence against people of a certain ethnic background, who have fuckall to do with robbing their country.... 'regular people'? Well, the fuckin Global Banking Empire uses this divide and conquer tactic and doesn't care who gets killed.
http://mycatbirdseat.com/2014/02/israel-shamir-the-brown-revolution-in-u...
All true Johnny! And, the Post Soviet Privatization was carried out with the aid of American economists from the Chicago School of Economics. And we know who runs and follows the Chicago model of economics and who the main neoliberal economists are. They fucked the Russian people badly. I know, I was in Russia several times in the 1990's. I saw people live like animals when they were thrown out of their jobs by American economists, and all wealth went to 6 Jews and 1 non Jew. Sick, yet some people say we should not point this fact out. Why?
Putin has nothing to lose.
Your move Barry, you fucking pussy.
Barry doesn't even know how the pieces move. "What does the horsie do?" Valerie Jarret will tell us how awesome Barry is at playing checkers. Kerry is ready to resign after Pawn to E4. At least Carter had Zbigniew Brzezinski (sarc setting 50%), god help us.
"What does the horsie do?"
LOL!
Re. Russia Has Invaded UK-raine
Next stop, UK - God willing.
This Ukranian leader (former head of the secret service under Timosjenko) does a lot of talking. While Ivan doesn't talk much and just does.
Lick my asspipe Barack.
Yours,
Vlady Putin
Just so we are surgically precise with our words, terms and language...
You mean "Ukraine's Thug In Chief", given that Ukraine had a Parliamentary Kangaroo Court, rather than a proper democratic process the included elections.
But, hey, America supports a Thug-In-Chief, if he is supportive of Central Banksters from the US or EU.
Exactly.
Cheering a ‘Democratic’ Coup in Ukraine
Weeeerd
All true Captain Kirk. The USA supported the Ukrainian fascists to overthrow the government. But consider, the USA is the main supprter of Al-Qaeda in Syria. So the USA now arms, funds and trains Al-Qaeda and Open Fascists, pro nazis. This is your government, and we tax payers are forced to funa all of this. While where I live they can't afford to keep public schools open more than 4 days a week! That fact! Where is all the money? Israeli and Ukraine and Al-Qaeda, thats where to look for our money.
"And not only have they seized the parliament of the Crimea, the Council of Ministers of the Crimea, they are trying to take civilian buildings under control, communications, and trying to block places where Ukrainian soldiers are based,” he said in an appeal to the nation."
Oh,you mean the same things YOU did last week?
I love being first in line at the Ammo store....see you there.
I think this means the Russian banksters and oligarchs win? GASPROM gas will continue to flow unimpeded to Brussels.
OT but relevant to today's U.S.

So let me guess this straight. My child can be banned from wearing the flag of his country on government property who's existence I fund with confiscatory taxes. It's so nice to live in a free country.
Guess what he will be wearing to school on Cinco de Mayo this year. I'll take the day off so I can go tell his principal to fuck herself if she tries to send him home.
American schools aren't takin' shit anymore. Zero tolerance for freedom of expression and low performace. It's all for the children; why do you hate the children?
I thought fucking Carter was bad! Zero has not only dethroned him as the biggest "potus pussy" of modern times, but also made him look like a saint in comparison...One can only wish that choomboy gets a nailgun for Fathersday.
I'd be real curious as to where the Russian 49th Army is doing and where their armored divisions are and how ready they are to rumble.
Kremenchuk bridge and Odessa
$30 billion (inevitable loan defaults) for Eastern Ukraine + humiliating the EU, the banksters and their frontman Obama ..... might not be a bad deal for Mother Russia.
Meanwhile, back at the UN...
"Pierre, please pass me another croissant. My, isn't this demiglaze superb?"
"What's for dessert"
Sorry, Ukraine can deal with Putin themselves. The US has it's own problems.
Queue the Ukranian insurgency in 7...6..5
Relax its just shore leave for the police force that was working on the Sochi Olympics....
The department of the Ukraine is being eliminated and its capital resources redistributed to other departments to improve the efficiency of the global corporation. This operation includes getting some officers some killtime so they can advance their careers, test equipment, refine tactics and knock off some unruly sheople. The msm is lying their asses off and milking this for all its worth, just like everything else they shill.
Coming soon to your neighborhood. Obey or die, degenerate mutants.
I've got a topic for you. In ww3, where else could the US invade Russia other than crimea? I mean, the popular answer has to be the middle east but would they let us? In other words, geographically, both Ukraine and Crimea are strategic poi to the us military. Haha, that's how the middle east would screw us over. They wouldn't let us through...
it was discussed by military specialists years ago
in 21st century it is not about invasion. It is about first nuclear strike superiority meaning that when you stike first the opposite side can not respond with deadly nuclear retaliation
USA can launch first nuclear strike on Russia from Pacific Ocean and then intercept russian response in early launch stage by using anti-ICBM shield located in eastern europe including Ukraine and Crimea
Um you recall that russia has SLBM submarines? They could be sitting off the US coast right now.
That's total crap.
The US's ABM system consists of 26 interceptors at one site in Alaska. Anyone that knows anything about military affairs knows that they are totally useless against Russia's ICBM force. The Russians have hundreds of deployed ICBM's with hundreds, if not thousands of warheads (plus decoys) that would quickly overwhelm the ABM system. The ABM system was built to defend against the crazy Kim's, not the Russians.
Even if we (the US) did a bolt from the blue attack and slant fired SLBM's from the Arctic and managed to crater every silo based Russian ICBM, the Russians still have several hundred fully mobile SS-25's.
Through Poland? It's a bit less hot and dusty than Iran or one of the -stan's. It's been done a couple times before, with mixed results.

Russian troops have moved into Crimea in what Moscow is calling a mission to “protect Black Sea Fleet’s positions” but which the Ukrainian government has denounced as an “armed intervention.”
The Russian foreign ministry said Friday that it had informed the Ukrainian government that armoured units from the Black Sea Fleet base near Sevastopol had entered Crimea in order to protect fleet positions.
don't be hasty, little hobbit
http://rt.com/news/crimea-airport-terminal-capture-095/
Well, to be fair, "No units of the Black Sea Fleet were deployed in the area of Belbek [Airport], nor did they take any part in seizing it," is an awfully specific statement, when you think of it. I would imagine there are elements of the Russian military who do not fit the criteria of "units of the Black Sea Fleet."
I'm not seeing much confirmation anywhere that indicates that the Russian military is doing anything other than securing their existing holdings, however. We shall see, won't we.

LMAO!!! I remember that testimony...
Is it an emergency yet?
not invading army... just some well armed tourists staying for a while... heard ukrainian pussy is world class and want to check it out ....
Think about it. WW2 was fought against socialism and not only did our side "win" the opportunity to be debt peons for the "losers", Churchill and Truman imposed socialism on us anyway.
Shennanigans!
Wow! You managed to use the word socialism twice while still maintaining no economic literacy or historical knowledge. Impressive sir.

You talk big shit, but their women soldiers alone would make a grease spot in the sand out of your sorry little ass.
They may be small, and surrounded, but they're still fucking THERE, aren't they? For that alone I will give them credit due.
Who ate the red off your candy.
Thanks to billions in US taxpayer money and GI Joes blood.

Muzzie?
Retard?
Anyone else thinks all this is just an act, and the real actors of this theater are following a prearranged script?
The beginning of the end for Ukraine and its allies? Are the sixth fleet ships in the Black Sea? Is there a US carrier in there? Who is in change? OR, is it over? Possibly it is over. Who won and who lost? The fog of war is making things difficult, like Bengazie or whatever?
Simple. Which banks are involved in this? I know there are some folks here who would be glad to share the names of the banksters who will profit or loss in this "war". All wars are banking wars, right?
Come on, show your stuff...who are the banking entities?
who are the banking entities?
all of them???
does it really make a difference once the IMF gets a foot in the door? Its not much of a skip from IMF to World Bank to BIS et. al.
They're not even bothering to be discrete.... the word war is short hand for banker-war IMHO.

The USA must throw a tantrum and bomb someone. Anyone. As usual.
Maybe Pres O will have a JFK like speech this evening ala Missile Crisis but with his March Madness Final Four Bracket picks. A complete child puppet who got to play President who summizes everything that has been wrong with our nation for the past few decades.
I'm sure Reggie is on that Emergency Marine One chopper with a carton of Kools. Gonna be a long night.
The infamous Zhirinovsky said two months ago that Ukraine will be split into:
Putin brings Yanu back and makes Lviv a ghetto with fast speed rail to the gulags. Would not surprise me to say the least.
Russia moves troops, we twitter!!
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death,
Rode the six hundred.
'Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns' he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
'Forward, the Light Brigade!'
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the soldiers knew
Some one had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.
Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turned in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reel'd from the sabre-stroke
Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wonder'd.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!
The screen monicker forward ho was chosen for being the last words of Lord Cardigan as he began the charge.
The charge was suicidal, they had no chance, yet for glory they charged.
The charge was suicidal, they had no chance, yet for glory they charged.
Sadly they charged for bankers in the City of London aka a certain European bankster family.
Obomber and Kerry nutz get ur asses over there and issue some more empty threats!
Its all fun and games, until the 82nd, 101st and 173rd start jumping in..
O will stay out.
The US hasn't the conventional forces to do anything about an invasion of any country, especially a nation that actually has a full fledged armed forces. If Papa Doc Barack even tried, but I am quite sure he won't, we'd get our butts kicked in. I would tell any member of the armed forces to refuse such an order if given.
Nice to know we only have our Crack paratroops ready to fight 3rd world armies or some tropical island strong man.

You seem to assume that Obama is a self-made president.
Bear in mind the cast of characters who were around him from the start. Your axelrods, your sunsteins, your emanuels..
warmongers not primarily loyal to the United States, and men who never would have been allowed in the heart of a healthy empire.
Obama is a puppet.
And a stooge.
And don't forget Valerie Jarrett's old man.
He certainly is a puppet.
He was rammed down our throats and he won because he wasn't George Bush.
2113 GMT: UNN reports that the entire command of the Ukrainian navy has resigned.
This may be a rumor, however, since the UNN report also notes that the Ministry of Defense has no mention of this on their website, and their press service has not reported it.
It gets exciting when all the stories start flying around, doesn't it. The Internet finally allows all of us civilians to understand what's meant by the expression, "The Fog of War."
If Russia is doing anything other than reinforcing the security of its leased military holdings, I haven't seen it yet. No doubt, the newly installed leaders in Kiev don't like it. If Russia does cross into offensive moves, it'll be a completely different situation and I'll be quite surprised and admit I was wrong. I still think, though, that Putin will defend Russian interests and let the victors in Ukraine sort themselves out. Then he'll decide how to deal with that situation. Anybody who expected him to leave Russian interests unprotected hasn't been paying attention for a long time.
First of all, I would like to thank the powers that be, both in the US and their poodles in Brussels who managed to bring this shit within 500 miles of where I and my family live.
What a brilliant plan Oboner put together. And it's working like clockwork. Way to go Oboner.
Of course, it's guaranteed these Ukrainians are in contact with Ivan. Can't blame 'em. Not given the forces arrayed against them.
While it is a facile overstatement to claim that all wars are banker ones, this one sure as shit is. War is ever the fruit of private, central, fiat banking.
Excellent comment.
Some concern over the massive numbers of unemployed youth in EU block. Better for the EU if their anger and frustration can be turned outward, rather than at those who are responcible for their plight. Right now they are unfunded liabilitys, they could have some use as cannon fodder.
here's a few questions bumping around in my head...
if the order is given by the new government in Kiev to expel the Russians by force will the military comply? for that matter who is in control of the armed forces as of now? what kind of divisions will have to be overcome, how many troops and officers would simply refuse to fight against their Russian counterparts, would there be defections, revolts and mutinies from within the ranks?
even if the military was unified behind Kiev would they risk escalating the conflict to a full scale war against Russia of which they would have no hope of winning? at least not without direct military support from NATO of which there is no indication of that, at least not as of yet.
and if NATO pledged such support well...
given that Moscow has clearly determined that Crimea will not fall to this neo nazi, fascist, western coup installed government for obvious reasons, might that put them in a position where a large scale first strike against NATO forces becomes a necessity? and once that horse get out of the barn, who else dog piles on and on who's side?
would it not be best for all interested parties if Crimea quietly, peacefully went back to mother Russia?
It won't be given. Russia is protecting its military assets in Crimea. It can always use this justification. Kiev would set themselves up for real invasion if they attacked.
Of course not. Eastern Europe knows that the west will not send military forces to its aid. In reality, a Russian invasion would be a major propaganda victory for the west. It would "expose" Russia as the tyrant hellbent on regional hegemony that it's often portrayed as.
Of course not. Russia is, after all, just protecting its assets. The threat of using the "necessary" force to do that is more than enough to make sure Kiev is willing to talk, not act.
Maybe, maybe not. We will see.
NOT ASSETS.
When you LEASE space for a BASE, YOU DO NOT OWN IT.
You are RENTING.
If the landlord decides to not renew (Philippines) you do not invade, you leave and go elsewhere...such as Sochi.
Where you guys went to school is beyond me.
In your fantasy world if your landlord doesn't renew your lease, you get to do a home invasion of the landlord.
Those bases ARE NOT RUSSIAN ASSETS THEY ARE UKRAINIAN, RENTED BY RUSSIA.
1914 all over again
What treaties does EU or its member states have with Ukraine? I'm with you on this feeling but I don't think there's a pretext for military involvement on EU side.
That presuposes that the EU has a military to use to get involved. France needed US cargo plane support to invade Mali. Mali.
France. What a joke of a country. Their guns shoot bullets made of brie.
Send Nuland and Rice over there. Let's see what those bitchez have to say now. Wow, they really thought this plan out well.
The Queen has issued Hillary, Susan, Vickey, Valarie, and the 2 John's a riffle and parachute and are on their way to save the day in Ukraine.
Fundamentally sound as always.
McCain will lead the charge, and call it "The charge of the Light Brigade".
He can take Boehner & Cantor too. Do we still have a 2 party system? Where is it?
The charge of the GET OFF MY LAWN! brigade.
.
He should take his girlfriend Lindsey Graham with him and call it The Charge of the Light-in-the-Loafers Brigade.
Beat me to it!
HRH, our Queen, is quite upset with Vlad.
Backdoor Barry, the Bath House Queen.
Charge of the Light in the Loafers Brigade
Looking a little like a "Ukrainian 'shield'" going on. Maybe a prelude to a storm brewing?
As we all know, whatever we do or do not do about this depends upon which special interest group stands to gain or lose from the doing or not doing.
So lets see....what would Israel like us to do? or, the TBTF banks? Or the oil industry?
2000 troopsmight be just what is needed to secure their Fleet's ports.
Cry me a riven ...
The "acting" president of the Ukraine is about to find out that Mr. Putin is the puppetmaster in the Ukraine and not the EU bankers. Those who would defy Mr. Putin's position in this situation need to realize that hot lead cannot be stopped by paper money. Just because the US is use to politicians that have been bought off like the whores they are, not everyone is bought. Some are go-getters. They don't accept handouts, they go and take them.
Russia has never put up with this nonsense in their backyard. Don't expect they will this time either. Big eared Obozo will grand stand and then go sit down and STFU. He's too worried about the plight of illegals, gay boys, and his golf game to ever man up on a real issue. As long as the US can buy people off or stab them in the back, its a go. When they have to stand toe to toe with someone who can kick their ass.....they'll be glad to negotiate. Breaks the heart but we have been that way since the 50's.
You may not agree with Putin and the Russians but you have to admire their take-no-shit attitude when it comes to their lines that will not be crossed. It gives them something we lost long ago.........respect.
You think the USSR really ever dissolved?
Think again.
Why hell yes they dissolved..........and moved to the United States.
There's an old term for them that I'd like to bring back into vogue: Rootless Cosmopolitan.
Beautiful. It's a great term.
Absolutely accurate.
You support mob rule?
Chuck = fundamentally sound!
