It Has Been A Horrible Week For The Secretariat Of State
If anyone ever said John Kerry - arguably the worst Secretariat of State in recent US history - didn't know how to look regal in photo ops of failure after epic failure, they obviously have never this picture. Such majesty, such posture, such a shiny coat. Just don't look him in the mouth.
And just in case the SoS felt bad about abusing taxpayer funds for a completely meaningless, if quite luxurious, trip to London where the Russians once again schooled the US Department of State, here comes Venezuela's foreign minister who just called Kerry a "murderer." From Reuters:
Venezuela's foreign minister lambasted U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday as a "murderer" fomenting unrest that has killed 28 people in the South American OPEC member nation.
"Mr. Kerry, we denounce to the whole world, you encourage the violence in Venezuela ... We denounce you as a murderer of the Venezuelan people."
"In Guatemala, you said to me 'you have to lower the tone'," Jaua added in his speech. "We are not going to lower the tone to any empire until you order your lackeys in Venezuela to cease the violence against the people."
"Every time we're about to isolate and reduce the violence, Mr. Kerry comes out with a declaration and immediately the street protests are activated."
Probably a good, if blunt, way to summarize Kerry's job performance. The good news: after a week like this, things can only get better for the Swift botox expert. Unless they don't.

OK, take it up a whole 'nother level. Obama is beholden to a central bank. Likewise, Putin is beholden to a central bank. Unless and until the central banks' owners begin to fight among themselves, or the public realizes how this shit works- and rejects all of bankdom, nothing changes.

I actually never did vote for him. In early May, 2008, I read that Obama was getting more in Wall Street contributions than either McCain or Hilary, who at the time was very much in the running and was the sitting Senator from New York and bankster pal Slick Willie's wife. That told me the fix was most definitely in, despite everyone calling Obama a Kenyan Muslim Socialist Alinsky-ite, and whatever diversionary nonsense Da Boyz like to put out for general consumption.
Then during the panic that September, both Obama and McCain promised if elected to nominate Tim Geithner to be Secretary of the Treasury. That's when I decided to vote minor 3rd Party. And Obama's first term, which might be properly called Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama's 6th term, convinced me all the more solidly.

Not in the league with many here as far as markets/economy (although I have been investing in metals (gold, silver and lead) since Clinton came into office so I don't feel like a complete idiot. Acerbic wit and outright hillarious comments regarding serious depressing subjects raise my spirits considerably many days.

There are politicians who are just skilled masters of the politics game, who've worked their way up through the ranks, winning and earning the trust of the billionaires and demonstrating their usefulness at mystifying, managing and mollifying the people.
Then there are politicians who can more authentically represent the inner circles of the super-rich and the shadow government, because they are of and from them.
Bonesman John Heinz Kerry is one of the latter. As Senator, at least since the heady days of the '70's when he was playig anti-war vet, his liberalism was devoid of feeling or passion, and we rarely saw him take a stand that would play badly in his exclusive clubs. The evidently conflicted and confused state he's displaying now may well represent that of his whole class, who for all their apparent strength and arrogance are on the horns of some really tough dilemmas, and who may be starting to realize they've gone too far this time.
