John McCain Responds To Russia's Sanctions, "Cancels Spring Break In Siberia"
While the US administration continues to fire 'sanction' bullets at Russia and explains how painful these will be, Senator John McCain - in response to his own sanctioning by the Russians - has responded... (as has John Boehner)
U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) today released the following statement on being sanctioned by Russian President Vladimir Putin:
“I guess this means my spring break in Siberia is off, my Gazprom stock is lost, and my secret bank account in Moscow is frozen.
Nonetheless, I will never cease my efforts on behalf of the freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea.”

Ok, the only place in the world that knows what "Spring Break" is, is N. America. Everyone else in the Christian world knows it as Easter. When one does research one finds out that spring break is full of hedonism, while Easter is the opposite, it is full of rememberance and sorrow. Flac, you're only partially correct: Easter is the greatest and most joyful holiday of Orthodox Christians because of its significance as a victory over death. I believe what you are speaking of is Lent, the 6-week period of fasting and abstinence (both physical and mental/emotional with the latter being more important, as in abstaining from bad thoughts, bad/ unthoughtful words) preceeding Easter.
Oh, and even though "joyful" can ring a Ft. Lauderdale bell of orgies and mindless exuberance, it ain't even near... Joyful means spending more time with your closest ones and visiting all your older relatives.
